Amazing experience from start to finish! Visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum, Pyramids and Sphinx was truly unforgettable. Our tour guide, Ahmed, was fantastic – very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He made the whole experience enjoyable and shared lots of interesting facts about Egyptian history. Highly recommend this tour, especially with Ahmed as your guide!

Marvel at the last existing wonder of the world - a fabulous experience! You will find a total of three pyramids here: the Chephren, Cheops and Mykerinos pyramids. You can discover the area on foot, on horseback or by camel. Duration between 2 and 3 hours.
After visiting the pyramids of Giza, you will go to the Great Sphinx, by far the largest and most preserved sphinx. It consists of a human head on a lion's body. The Sphinx was carved from the remainder of a limestone mound that served as a quarry for the Great Pyramid of Cheops. Duration approx. 20-30 minutes.
Since all buses have to wait for the convoy leaving Cairo for Sharm at the end of the day, you will make one or two of the following stops: characteristic visits to the Papyrus Museum and the Essential Oil Factory. These two attractions will familiarize you with the ancient Egyptian techniques of making papyrus and essences. These two interesting visits will increase your knowledge of daily life in ancient Egypt and will also help the Egyptian farmers who work in these sectors and preserve these very old handicrafts from ancient Egypt. (While waiting for the convoy to return)

This is a wonderful, wonderful museum. Brand new in November 2025 and constructed by Arup to contain some of the greatest treasures of Egyptian civilisation. They really met the brief - a worthy showcase, you could spend days here. More mundanely, it’s got plenty of rest areas, food halls, toilets etc. Highly recommended.
ahmed amer was a perfect guide 5* top
Ahmed Amer was our guide, the whole day was perfectly organized. We enjoyed the new museum and pyramids. Out of extras we recommend to join boat ride. Wish we could have more room in the bus.
Khaled il Koumatti made the trip very easy for my family and me. He made it a very fun trip after our children were tired from the journey. He explained everything very well to our children at the museum. Would recommend
Jimmy was an excellent guide. Had a fantastic, packed day. The long bus trip from sharm was well worth it in the end.
Ahmed amer very knowledgeable guide. Managed to get everything done, very busy day but thoroughly enjoyed by all. Would recommend highly but be aware it's a highly packed in trip, really good value for monies paid...
For the most of it, my tour was amazing - the guide, Ahmed Amer, was fantastic - he was friendly, informative and seeing the museum, sphinx & pyramids was everything I hoped for and more, the river Nile ride was the ‘cherry on the cake’. It has left me wanting to go back to Cairo to spend more time in the museum, at the pyramids and to see even more of the history & culture on offer. Sadly after Ahmed left bus, things took a down turn. While I accept the company had no control over what happened on the journey back, they are also responsible as it was their staff, whether directly employed or contracted. We had lovely drivers and a tour escort Achmed, who had been on top form earlier in the day. I don’t know why it happened, whether it was a medical matter or some other reason, but his demeanour suddenly changed and he became a bit aggressive to a young boy and an unrelated couple, he seemed to be staggering and not himself. I cannot stress enough how different he was even an hour earlier where he’d stepped in and gave ‘words of advice’ to a male who’d been a bit stress with his partner and child. Achmed’s behaviour was concerning to everyone on board, including the 2 drivers and they did their best to manage a difficult situation. Everyone was a bit tense after this, not least due to the unplanned extended stop to manage this. After a very long day, we were all very tired and just wanted to get back to our hotels. We all knew the journey was long. This was well advertised by the company however we didn’t expect the additional delays. We eventually got back to our transfer station for everyone to Move onto mini buses for onward transport. Achmed was again in charge of managing this perhaps it would’ve been better for someone else however he was the person with the better language skills. Somehow I was not called for my minibus transfer and when it transpired that the bus had left without me at 2 am, there was lots of talking and then it seemed another driver for a different company had been asked to take me on their trip to other hotels. Bearing in mind that I am a single female traveller in the country where I don’t speak the language and I had paid for a tour with the transport to and from, I felt vulnerable, worried and I was disappointed that Achmed and the two drivers left in the coach before I had safely left with the other firm. There seemed to be some arguments going on between various staff. It may have been about my situation or not, I don’t know, but it felt very uncomfortable and a fight was breaking out. I was on a mini bus with other Travelers. I did not know, we did not share the same language and the taxi driver did not speak English at all. I cannot fault this taxi driver he really made efforts to try and communicate using his phone and the translation app. Thankfully I did eventually get back to my hotel safely, however this was not guaranteed and sadly I felt like Achmed & the drivers hadn’t cared. Quite simply this is not good enough. It is really sad to end a wonderful day on such an unhappy note, but at least I’m safe not that the team who was supposed to be looking after me knew that.
Amazing experience of Cairo and the pyramids of Giza our tour guide Ibrahim was terrific and would recommend this trip to many
A wonderful experience throughout the entire visit. Ibrahim, the guide, is very kind and personable. I highly recommend it.
Probably the best museum in the world (I rate it against The Louve, The British Museum and the Vatican) Go early before the groups and dont bother paying extra for the audio guide as there are hardly any exhibits with the link and the symbols on the exhibits are tiny are tiny and easy to miss. Do the main galleries first, dont use the escalator as you miss loads. Do the galleries in numerical order then walk back up to do the Tut exhibition which is quite frankly breathtaking. You can then go down to the food court areas back down in the main lobby. You have then got the boat house museum outside which dosent have a great deal apart from the one amazingly intact boat. There are fresh filtered water fountains about which is excellent. There are hundreds of staff on duty who appear the second a child puts their greasy finger on a display case. (Maybe a few too many staff....) There are ample benches to have a 2 minute stop and take stock It took me a good 6 hours to give it justice which included 30 minutes eating. The only negative aspect us the entry exit. You get dropped off and picked up on the main road outside rather than in the carpark.
My guide was Ahmed amer and we couldnt ask for a better guide, he was very attentive and made everything comfortable. Even though the long jurney it was worth it. Thanks to Ahmed for making it easy.
Ahmed amer very guide and lots of fun
Was a great experience to be able to see the pyramids but everything felt very rushed not allowing enough time to appreciate the sights and views. It was a very long day and the coach trip back was extremely long and delayed. More time could have been given at the pyramids as the perfume stop was not necessary. More time was needed to appreciate the full experience of the museum, it was such a grand building with so much to see but such little time.
We had the best day. Please be prepared for a very busy day but it is so worth it. Our guide Magdi was extremely knowledgeable and personable. I am surprised with people complaining about the coach trip. Yes it is long and tiring but no more than expected. Especially since the trip is so affordable.
Ahmed amer was absolutely exceptional, he knows everything about anything that you need to know, would highly recommend
We booked this trip as a family of 4 with children aged 10 and 8. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend it. We had Ahmed Amer as a guide, he was very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable although we did have trouble understanding him at times however it did not really affect our experience and he was happy to repeat or attempt to slow down his speech. I also appreciated his honesty when it came to people to avoid and scams to be wary of, which we did come across many times but has the advanced warning. The trip is a very long day, especially with young children. The bus journey feels like it never ends but it’s so worth it once you see the pyramids, the Nile and the museum. Lunch was average but appreciated. The only downside was the stop at the perfume shop which felt like quite a pressurised environment, we had to say no thank you many times and it could be quite intimidating for some but also it’s their livelihood so I do understand. I think if you’re in Sharm El Sheikh or another resort as we were, then this is a must to really experience Egypt.
Ahmed amer was our guide and he was very accommodating we all had a lovely day in cairo!
We had Ahmed Amer and he was great really informative and delivered with a great sense of humour, great guy
Everything perfect, the best experience!
Our guide Magdy was perfect, very informative and well knowing. Same with his driver, was smooth from start to finish. However the organisers could use some work, the buss trip took an unnecessary amount of time to get started (2 hours). Just sitting at a gas station waiting. And the information regarding the pick-up was unclear.
The guide Jimmy really helped us a lot and is so passionate about Egypt and the culture.
It was another eye opening tour with seeing the Grand Egyptian Museum that took 20 odd years to prepare and complete. Amazing. Especially seeing the Tutankhamum’s coffins and aorher artifacts. Time is not enough for seeing everything. Then the Saladin Citadel, and with visit to both Mosque of Muhammad Ali and Sultan Al Nasir Muhammad Mosque. All thanks to the tour guide - Ms Bassma, that shown me around and feeding me with all the histories of ancient Egypt.
Ahmed amer was an excellent tour guide. He took me and my family around the Nile River, Pyramids of Giza, took us to a nice restaurant for lunch with a view of the pyramids, took us to explore a variety of oils and perfumes and ended the tour off with visiting the museum. He explained each attraction well and with lots of detail. He kept everything easy to understand and enjoyable to listen to I Highly recommend this tour!!
We had a day trip to Cairo where we visited the pyramids, the sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Museum. We had a day trip to Cairo where we visited the pyramids, the sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Museum. Everything went very well. We have a special positive remark for our guide Reda which was very very good. He gave us useful and very interesting information. BTE was one of the few agencies that arranged a Romanian-speaking guide for us at a reasonable price. A bad remark for the organization. Initially we were told to be ready for departure at 00:15, the bus picked us up at 00:55 and we left Sharm a little after 2 o'clock
Ahmed ahmed and his tour crew provided an excellant experience. The journey was hard by bus but worth the while when one of the wonders of the world is befoe you.
Ahmed amer top tour guide really good day
Ahmed amer was our guide and it was a great day! Very long and tiring but worth every second
Ahmed amer was an excellent, informative and friendly guide. The trip was busy and took in lots of information as well as seeing the sights. The museum was very interesting and full of amazing artifacts. Thank you for a great experience!
Great well-organized experience! Excellent day THANK U BOOK TOUR EGYPT WE ENJOYED VERY MUCH
At several points I genuinely thought we had been forgotten by civilisation, and somewhere along the way I stopped being a tourist and by the time we got back, I was just grateful not to have become an archaeological exhibit myself The pyramids were absolutely breathtaking and worth seeing and a big thank you to our guide Ahmed which was the only gem of this tour but everything before and after them felt like a punishment for wanting to see them. 9 hours and half of bus back in the madness. Hot, air con not working properly, dirty, no idea what is happening no one speaks to you, every police checkpoint you’re getting out and walking in the middle of nowhere. They brought us to the wrong museum, walked in the rubbish to get to a boat on a river full of rabbish where you’re forced to go Pyramids and the guide were absolutely amazing and happy to managed to see it but we only reached pyramids at 2pm under the most unbearable sun till 4:30 because they bring you to the wrong museum first and then to a buffet lunch that if you touch something you’ll spend the rest of your days on the toilet sit Brought to parfume shop/essentials oil for 40 minutes and the bus smelled of 100of Arabic parfumes together . Follewed by an hour delay because they decide to brought kebabs on the bus( suggested to don’t even think to eat it by the company) . 2h later when you got used to kebab smell they stopped for McDonalds order and the smell started again and another hour delay. One of the driver turning lights on while everyone sleeping to just come to the back of the bus farting in our faces there and leaving. I think he was possessed by a mummy Picked up random people on the way, changing sits because of that, including family changing poo nappies on the bus while at the rest aerea! Idiots singing TikTok’s while everyone sleeping. No reaction from drivers or the busy farting assistant Supposed to be back at midnight. Rest stop with big dogs barking at you and in the other side ready to rob you. Every rest stop supposed to be 15m and everytime one hour later someone will have to go call the drivers that are smoking and talking outside while we are all waiting. Supposed to come back at mindnight, arrived 2h and half later at 1:30 at night we are still walking in the middle of nowhere in the sand mixed at rubbish at a checkpoint The only thing longer than Egyptian history was the journey back to Sharm. After this bus journey, I completely understand why people built those tombs to escape the outside world.
My friend and I had a great day with Hussein, this guy is really awesome, he’s kind, smart, and nice. Thanks to him we were able to discover and learn a lot about the pyramids and the history of the Egyptian empire. It was simply pleasant. And zero hidden defects. I thank Hussein again for having here for us, it is the best guide you can find if you are really interested in the history of Egypt. everything went smoothly.
A truly memorable day with Manal. The whole day was brilliantly organized from start to finish. Apart from the delay getting back on the plane to Sharm (which we were informed could happen) We booked through TUI at our Hotel at Sharm Rixos Adults Only and took the plane to Cairo. Honestly it will stay with us forever. Manal you are on the ball baby! You know your stuff. I liked it when you said to us if the guy tries to get any more money off you for the horse and cart ride at the Pyramids don't do it! Obviously we did and she asked us if we'd like her to get the money back! I loved her spirit. Thank you Manal for a day we won't forget.
Wonderfull experience friendly stuff and best emotions
Excellent day out. It is a long day and initial coach trip to Cairo a little slow. Not great with communication Once in Cairo Ahmed our tour guide was really knowledgeable. Pyramids were stunning, Great Egyptian Museum was a marvel with all the artefacts, could spend a full day there but unfortunately we only had 3 hrs. Value for Money excellent when compared to flying.
Ahmed amer was a very nice guide. We had an amazing time with him. He had a lot of information for us and showed us a the beautiful places. He also knew where and how the make great pictures !
We did the trip, it was booked through TUI at our hotel in Sharm El Sheik. We were picked up at 4am from the hotel then straight to the airport. We were met at Cairo airport by a rep from the travel company and taken to the coach and then met our guide for the day. Her name was Manal, she spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable. Throughout the day we drove through Cairo and informed about various buildings and places. Next it was a river cruise on the Nile (an optional extra) From there it was on to see the pyramids and the Sphinx. Then it was time for lunch at a hotel near the pyramids (Included in the price, but drinks were extra) Last stop of the day was the New Museum, so much to see there. Then it was back to the airport for our flight back to Sharm. There was always a rep from the travel company to help you. A great day spent with a group of great people!
Absolutely amazing from start to finish ,and our guide was so informative on all aspects Ahmed amer.
Our tour guide Ahmed was very knowledgeable and very professional throughout the tour. He accommodated all our needs.
I had an amazing experience on the pyramid tour with Khaled! From start to finish, he was incredibly warm, welcoming, and professional. His knowledge of the history and significance of the pyramids was truly impressive, and he explained everything in such an engaging and easy-to-understand way. Khaled’s kindness and genuine passion for what he does really stood out—he made sure I felt comfortable, answered all my questions patiently, and even shared little details and stories that made the experience extra special. Thanks to him, the tour was not just informative but also memorable and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the pyramids—especially if you have Khaled as your guide!
We had an excellent time on this trip, our guide made our day! It is a long day but worth it and our guide khaled/haled was amazing and made us feel like family 🥰 we couldn’t rate the trip any higher!
Mr Abanoub who was our incredible guide in Cairo.. showing us the old museum and the pyramids.. really enjoyed his explanation really recommend him if you come to Egypt!
The Experience Stepping into the GEM is a sensory shift from the bustling streets of Cairo. The 11-metre Colossus of Ramses II greets you in a sun-drenched atrium, a powerful introduction to the scale of this facility. The architectural storytelling is a highlight; ascending the Grand Staircase past 70+ monumental statues feels like a literal climb from mortal life to the divine, ending with a panoramic "Kodak moment" view of the Giza Pyramids through a massive glass wall.
Very very good They know all the good spots to take pictures Shows us the culture and facilities for producing original Egyptian products It’s very good and we highly recommend.
Sayed is an amazing tour guide ! Knows his stuff, gives plenty of information but also ensures the day moves smoothly. Its a great trip!
Long journey aside, this was a fantastic experience and worth the journey. George was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide who made the trip worthwhile. Definitely take some extra cash with you for the boat trip and the camel rides.
Our tour guide within Cairo was fantastic and very knowledgeable in sharing information about the new Grand Museum, Sphinx and Pyramids. We also got complimentary snacks before returning back to Cairo. However, me and my husband were not happy with the rude service provided by the bus driver Ali who picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off to the coach. During the coach during to Cairo, there were multiple stops which we felt dragged on and became tired by all this. Cairo was stunning and beautiful in person and is worth the visit.
An incredible day start to finish!! Such an experience, made even better by our guide Syed. He was not only friendly, but so knowledgable and helpful, we couldn't have asked for anyone better to guide us. Seeing Cairo, the Nile and the Pyramids cannot be put into words, its truly special and Im so glad we booked it whilst staying in Sharm El Sheikh, which makes it a long coach journey but worth it. Please do this excursion, you won't regret it.
I had a wonderful day. The guide sayed was just brilliant, excellent English and excellent knowledge. He was fun and engaged all day. Great company in our group as well. And the museum , extra trip on the lunch and pyramids were wonderful. Thank you for a great experience. Dont be put off by some reviews about the journey. We had a small bus collect from the hotel (although was 20 mins earlier than expected) taken to meet some bigger buses and directed onto the correct buses by booking. Yes it’s a long journey but very worth it!
Honestly had a great experience. Sayed was our tour guide, super nice, friendly and funny as well. Made our journey super comfortable and was super informative. Had an amazing time!!
