It was a long excursion. We were picked up at 21.00 at the next day at 13.00 we were back at the hotel in sharm el sheikh. we started to climb at midnight. It was 5 km but it took around 3,5 till 4 hours to reach the top. The climb is not easy and not suitable for people who are not in good shape, have backproblems, leg problems, weak ankles. There is a guide who will help you and there are stops (small teahouses) The higher you go the more cold it gets. I would advise everyone to take warm clothing it is really cold. You can also rent a blanket for 4 dollar (only cash). The view with sunrise is beautiful! Tips: -bring food with you. There are streetanimals dogs (very skinny) who live at mount sinai and streetcats. So i hope whoever who read this bring extra food. -take warm clothing with you (wear a muts/ cap) -the toilets are very dirty, bring wetwipes with you bring cash money wear good trainers no slippery shoes (dangerous)

Itinerary
You will be picked up from your hotel in the evening and will take a 3-hour drive to the foot of Mount Moses. There you have the opportunity to refresh yourself or have a coffee. Afterwards, the approximately 3.5-hour ascent to the top of Mosesberg begins. It is possible to cover part of the route on the back of a camel (for a fee). The last 700 steps have to be done on foot. At the summit you have an incredible view of the sunrise over the Sinai mountains. After the descent you visit the Catherine Monastery, which is embedded in mountain valleys, which is considered the oldest working Christian monastery and the smallest diocese in the world. In addition to the Vatican, this monastery also has the world's most valuable archive of Christian religious manuscripts. Your efforts will be rewarded by the magnificent sunrise over the mountains of the Sinai. After an easier descent, visit The Kathrinen Monastery with its mosaics, world-famous icon collection and art treasures. Then return to Sharm el Sheikh and transfer to the booked hotel in Sharm El Sheik

It is not easy hike, but when you come up you forget everything. You must take with you warm clothes because you need it when you come up. You also need to bring a change of clothes with you.
This excursion to Mount Moses and St. Catherine’s Monastery is an unforgettable experience that combines both spiritual significance and stunning scenery. The hike up Mount Moses is challenging but rewarding, offering breathtaking views of the Sinai Desert as you make your way to the summit. At the top, the sunrise view is nothing short of spectacular, making the early start worth it. The visit to St. Catherine’s Monastery adds a profound cultural and historical touch — an iconic place with incredible significance for both Christians and Muslims.
Wonderful company to travel with, really took care of us, very knowledgeable guide, excellent lunch included, very efficient trip in a/c minibus, prompt pick up from hotel, always kept in touch beforehand with updates, good to pay cash in our own currency. The monastery is very inspirational, 1500 years of continuous history, especially the artefacts and books in the museum. Well worth a visit, the setting is incredible. Chilly in spring so take a jacket.
I'm really happy with this tour. I came to Sharm mainly for scuba diving (I did a liveaboard) but I'd say this tour is the highlight of my trip! I arrived early for the pick up and the guide Kamil (hope I got the name right) was there waiting for me already. It's a bit unfortunate that I'm the first one being picked up (also meaning being the last to be dropped off) so I had to spend 1-2 hours more in the minivan than some other guests. But someone has to be the first to be picked up so no complaints here. Kamil is friendly, respectful and knowledgeable. He is also multilingual, taking care of all the guests from different countries. We had a Bedouin guide Musa to guide the hike to the summit of Mount Sinai. He is an amazing guide, very friendly and knowledgeable. He did a good job taking care of everyone. I was unfortunately scratched by a stray cat in the mountain. Musa kept asking around to see if anyone has antiseptic products, plasters etc. Luckily a Russian guest from our tour came prepared! (And luckily Musa is also multilingual so he can ask for me!). He also made sure no one was left behind and gave clear instructions of where to meet. The hike itself is great and the scenery is stunning. It's not a difficult hike but does require some level of fitness. Watching sunrise from there is well worth it! We then visited St. Catherine's Monastery with another guide. It was kind of a rush as we needed to set off by 10am. Wish we could have spent more time there. Overall, I'm very happy with my experience.
St.Catherine and Dahab city its the beautiful places you can visit when you will arrive in Sharm El Sheikh, special thanks for guide Aladin very professional guide helpful and friendly, really recommended 100% thanks so much.
Im a mountai trail runner, and on holidays in Egipt it was a perfect oportunity to make a training. For active people its probably best trip you can find in Sinai penisula. Starting trail at night is unique experience, and the sunrise views are amazing! We were picked up from hotel, with english speaking guide, also had another gide who helped to climb the mountain and looked so every person in group can keep the pace can afford. So 5+ stars experience, totally reccomend!
Amazing trip with a serious crew for the expedition. A very good organization ! Well done !! See you next year hopefully !
The excursion was amazing!!! So worth the time and price. Def the best thing I did in all my time in Sharm. Great guide with proper explanation! the monastery itself was very peaceful - HIGHLY RECOMMEND
This excursion was incredible value and very rewarding. The hike up to the top of the mountain can be intense but you can go at your own pace. I’m glad I did this during the night because it was nice and cool at night and I would have overheated during the day. Made it to the top in time to watch the wonderful sunrise. Make sure to bring plenty of water although there are some places on the way up you can buy from as well. On the way down, the hike to the monastery was another couple of hours but worth it as well to see the places mentioned in the bible. The bus we took was very comfortable and very well cooled. They provided some snacks and drinks for us on the way back which was nice. Our kind was very informative and it was a great experience to have. Would definitely recommend!
Very very exciting excursion. Wonderful place, emotional Adventure, Perfect organization and Professional Tour Leader
We chose this tour because it promised a small group with a maximum of 15 participants. Our reasoning was that in a small group, you don't lose as much time at restroom stops, getting on and off the bus, etc., and can hike up the mountain or visit the monastery better. We were correspondingly horrified when we were picked up in a fully occupied bus. With around 80 participants in a group, everything just becomes more difficult. During the ascent of the mountain, this meant that we had to stop every 1-2 minutes so that the group wouldn't spread out too far. When departing from the monastery on the second day, some participants didn't show up at the bus until more than 30 minutes after the agreed-upon meeting time. Everyone who was on time had to wait accordingly. In addition, the English of the tour guide, Ibrahim, was almost impossible to understand. To top it all off, the bus broke down on the way back, and we had to wait for a replacement bus. Instead of being back at the hotel for lunch, we didn't arrive at the hotel until after 3:00 PM. Sure, nobody can really be blamed for the breakdown, but the group size issue is unacceptable in my view. I subsequently contacted the provider but only received a pre-formulated response that did not explain the discrepancy between the advertised small group of a maximum of 15 participants and the size we encountered. And the guide's English is also not acceptable. Otherwise, the hike up Mount Sinai and the visit to Saint Catherine's Monastery are definitely worth the trip. We seem to have been unlucky in our choice of tour operator.
The activity is well organized, the people are available, and there is safety in how it is conducted. I recommend that you have an idea of your own limitations because it is an activity that requires a lot of physical effort
The tour was super organized! Pickup, hike, return trip, and communication with the organizer worked perfectly. We were a nice smaller group, the pace of the hike was very well chosen, the tour guides made sure to take breaks where you could refresh yourself at small huts. The sunrise on Mount Sinai was almost unrealistically beautiful! The tour through Saint Catherine's Monastery was very interesting. Thank you very much for the extraordinary experience!
Very bad experience with Book Tour Egypt. We booked an excursion from the United Kingdom to climb to the summit of Mount Sinai. Before our trip, we confirmed with the company that the excursion would take place and we trusted that everything was confirmed. However, on the very day of the excursion, they informed us that they would not be coming to pick us up after all. This left us without any possibility of organizing an alternative in time. The most disappointing thing is that we traveled to Sharm El Sheikh solely for the purpose of doing this excursion and climbing Mount Sinai, so we ended up wasting our time and our money in the city. We believe that an excursion company should be responsible and notify with sufficient advance notice if it cannot fulfill a reservation, especially when customers have organized their entire trip based on that activity. We do not recommend Book Tour Egypt due to the lack of professionalism and, above all, the way in which they managed our reservation.
It is a must-do. Unique experience. Well organized by the agency. We had a problem on the way back (a flat tire on the bus) and they reacted correctly.
To escape....On November 6th I booked via WhatsApp a day trip to visit the monastery of St Catherine for December 15th. I contact today on December 11th the company to make sure that my reservation is properly taken into account. They tell me that they only have availability for Saturday, December 13th on the day of our arrival in Egypt and ask me the names of all the participants. information I provided them on November 6th! since then I ask them where our reservation went: no more answer, total silence. Company to flee not serious at all. Don’t leave through this travel agency so as not to ruin your holiday, I need two days before my trip to find a new serious company that will show us around Sainte-Catherine.
It was a nice and long tour to Mt. Sinai. The tour was well organized with a nice and informative guide. Especially our guide who accompanied our group during the mountain tour was helpfully engaged and always approachable. Unfortunately, there was not so much time left to visit the monastery
Fantastic and exciting experience.... very tiring climb in my opinion but worth it Very efficient tour operator
I have used this agency several times, from the trip to Mount Sinai last year, to transfers to and from the airport and also the visit to Cairo by plane. The agency has always shown itself organized and with an excellent Service of customer support. We all know that sometimes things go less well, but the effort and readiness of the agency, notably Asmaa, to solve the problem has been tireless and the agency deserves all our trust. Thank you
Super we were Moses mountain and catharin monastery, everything was great, even in dahab the food was good LG greetings biggi and Matthias
Excellent excursion, very good guide with good explanations about the place and history. I am delighted with my excursion and recommend
Hello, I would like to warmly thank the agency for its reliability and professionalism. My mother being very old, it was her dream to visit Mount Sinai. We were accompanied from the hotel to Mount Sinai with punctuality, kindness and kindness. We have a very good memory of it. I only regret that I could not give a more sufficient tip to the driver and guide. Could you renew my thanks to them, please? A service I recommend ++ They're the best! I would like to add 6 stars if possible! 😇
A slightly unusual excursion to Sharm. Definitely tiring but seeing the sunrise in the desert is always exciting.
A wonderful experience, very well organized everything, I searched for this tour online and made no mistake with the choice, I did more tours with this agency and a 10 out of 10.
We have already done excursions with Book Tour Egipt and they are always punctual, precise and well organized. The climb to Mount Sinai is quite challenging but intense and suggestive. Dawn is a breathtaking sight. All beautiful!
I must say that the trip was well organized and very suggestive. Punctual and prepared. The guide spoke Italian perfectly and everything went smoothly! It is not the first time we have gone to Sharm and we have also done several excursions with other much more expensive organisations, but this time we had a really good time.
Organized excursion in detail coordinated very well the timing and choice of guide, driver and restaurant for lunch. Very good price.
Mount Sinai is very beautiful, summarizes the beautiful colors of the Sinai desert, you breathe a mystical air exalted by the monastery of St. Catherine her feet. However, I think the sunrise, which lasts very little, does not offer much more in terms of colors. Picked up from the hotel at 8.30 pm, you arrive around 1:30 am at the monastery to begin the climb with Bedouin guide and torches, which is not at all for everyone. It's steep and brisk even if for 20 euros you can make camel up to 750 steps that are not comfortable at all.
Organisation à revoir, explications inexistantes, bus non climatisé d’un autre temps, pas d’eau ni de petit déjeuner pourtant prévus au programme. Visite du monastère au pas de course. Descente terminée sans le guide, lequel était dans un état second
A nice excursion nothing to say about the organization except too many stops to our liking What to do to discover this part of Egypt
We were yesterday an experience gives do absolutely recommended excellent organization no pressing 100percent
I don't first time and I love Trips so much and everything they need is sweet ♥️ And if God wills it with a few, the journey will be on ↓🏼
The trip was very enjoyable, organized, organized, people were very pleasant, and the view from above the mountain was beautiful and worth seeing and God wants to repeat it at the nearest opportunity
The journey has perfected everything from transfers to the journey itself, the services and every need was closer than what you were Thanks Book Tour Egypt and Tanya’s confirmation
booked everything in advance via WhatsApp in German. Top organized, great tour guide, explained everything to us exactly. Punctual and reliable. Price performance unbeatable! Thank you very much and see you soon! Thomas
We booked three activities with the agency. Good communication in French via WhatsApp, each time on time for the excursion. Good Price quality ratio. We made the quad excursion, St Catherine s Monastery and Cairo by bus from Sharm El Sheik. Little downside for Cairo, too little time spent at the Cairo Museum. Have gotten the information back.
Super tour guide The trip was well planned Everything fit in time and the view was just mega The only drawback of the small bus was old and quite uncomfortable. But otherwise it was really great therefore 4 stars rather 4.5 Priced top simply half of what the hotel or fti offers
in the night between yesterday and today we boarded the Mount Sinai accompanied by Bedouin guide (very nice and kind guy) .... LIFE IS LIFE .... you have to enjoy it slowly .... I bring home these words who knows if you will finally learn it 🤪. Anyway, be prepared for the fatigue, it won't be exactly a walk to the market get to the top .... but once you get there .... you will understand ... CLIMB IT AND ENJOY THE SHOW. (trainers and a jacket bring them with you). Arrived on time at the hotel , 2.30 hours of travel 3 hours the climb with a torch that was given to us at the departure, then the descent calmly and then visit the monastery , and return. in all this.... made the descent we were given a juice and a treat thing really Pretty. on arrival at the bus also a bottle of fresh water. In short, a magical day to try! THANK YOU!
A long but interesting drive through Sinai to the Catherine Monastery is definitely worth it. Lunch in Dahab in a restaurant right by the water was very good for us. We would have liked to have strolled through the atmospheric place Dahab even longer. Good value for money.
Good was division into groups, a bit too quick to start the march, but we had kept my "kick". Ascent went well, partly because it was full moon, but the last 750 steps still have it in them
I wanted to share my experience with this agency. Know that you will be in very good hand with AHMED, I had the opportunity to make 3 excursions LE mont moise, ras mohamed and and the island of tiran. It was beautiful and I have very good memories. He takes care of everything, you don't take care of anything. A thousand thanks to you Ahmed. Rachou
My wife and I had a lot of fun with their guide, their team was friendly and organized, as well as the accuracy and ease of booking was a more than a great experience when we saw the sun rise from the top of Mount Musa, and took great care of the protective precautions under the current circumstances.
Three trips from Sharm El Sheikh (city tour, Catherine Monastery and Sharks' Bay): Everything perfectly organized, punctual hotel pickup, friendly guides and above all great experiences! Thanks for everything! However, the three-hour journey to Katharinenkloster (Mosesberg) in a minibus is exhausting, when the driver hardly slows down even in the event of ground waves and the bad sections of the route. We were shaken up hard. In addition, the air conditioning did not work. Nevertheless, the trip is worth all the effort. Small drop of vermouth; instead of having time to get to know the town of Dahab on the way back, you are escorted to a salesroom where you should buy the usual tourist stuff. You can also go out immediately without having to attend the sales show.
