Concorde El Salam Sharm El Shiekh

Do not look at another negative review!! I cannot express how incredible the staff are at this. I have never experienced customer service like it. We have a 1 yo son and they were so accommodating. They went out of their way time and time again to meet his needs and always with a smile. The location is quite close to the airport but it is not busy and barely noticeable imo. A very quick shuttle will take you to the main hotel and beach. But this hotel far better if you have little ones, as you have the water slides here. The food is good. Not to everyone's taste and you certainly won't find your basic British food here but everything i have eaten has been very nice and I can't complain at all. I will certainly consider bringing my family back here. I am fairly well travelled and have been across the entire of the northern part if Africa and this is by far and away the best place I have stayed. Fab stay. Rooms clean and tidy. Housekeeping done daily, alothough bath wasn't cleaned each time. Alaa at the pool bar was amazing, as were all the staff. Mohammed the restaurant supervisor was attentive and always made sure we were having a good day. Pool was heated most the time, when it wasn't it was empty LOL. Waterslides manned by lifeguards. Plenty of sunbeds available each day. Towel cards given to each guest. Food was as expected. Not varied too much each day but was plentiful and very edible. Amazing place to just chill. Animation team weren't too pushy but have been places where they are more engaging and upbeat about their job, but this didn't bother us as we were there to relax and do nothing, which we did :) Airport is only over the road, although 10 minutes in taxi. Planes taking off was annoying to start with but you got used to it. Didn't like the smell of fuel when the wind carried it across the complex, but was only a few times this happened and is not the fault of the hotel or staff

Avoid this hotel at all costs. Our experience was extremely dishonest from check-in to check-out. We booked Concorde Front with breakfast through Booking.com (from the Front hotel page), but at check-in we were told that our reservation was actually for Concorde Sport, located across the road — much farther from the sea, closer to the airport, older, and cheaper. The staff acted as if this situation was completely normal and offered only one “solution”: pay €40 per night extra to stay in the hotel we had actually booked. After hours of waiting and trying to resolve the issue, we were told that if we didn’t want to pay, we should go to the Sport hotel. By that time it was already night and we had no choice. The Sport hotel claims to be 4 stars, but the room looked closer to 2 stars. Room service was another example of the same attitude: a sandwich listed at 320 EGP in the menu somehow turned into 741 EGP at checkout, with a 350 EGP “tip” added without asking us. After we left a negative review, the hotel manager contacted us insisting the hotel was “not responsible” for the booking situation and got irritated when we refused their “compensation” (one dinner and late checkout). The only positives were a decent breakfast and friendly staff at the Sport hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Well looked after hotel. Plenty of choice with the restaurants on site. Staff were friendly and always helpful. Would recommend.
