Both water towns were beautiful, with their picturesque canals, charming lanes and wonderful old-world atmosphere. Visiting them was a highlight of my trip, but Queena was the real star of the day. Warm, attentive and an absolute pleasure to spend time with, Queena brought a personal touch that made the experience feel so much more than a sightseeing tour. Her enthusiasm and genuine care made us feel wonderfully looked after throughout the day. I cannot recommend Queena highly enough. If you are planning a visit to Wuzhen and Xitang, having her as your guide will make an already beautiful experience even more memorable. Booked this private tour for my family of 6 so we can enjoy the water towns on our own. Guide Kimi was friendly and pretty knowledgeable and we really learn alot from him. Love that lunch and dinner is decided beforehand,we just need to go to the restaurant and tell the guide our preferences and he will help us order accordingly. Driver was on time and drove us back to the hotel safe and sound after,so really appreciate that as well. Highly recommend this tour if you do not want to squeeze with others in a big tour bus like other day tours:)

This was a worthwhile excursion to go on; both a cultural and architectural gem. No regrets going on it with a day to spare in my Shanghai visit. Xin was a fantastic host, best photographer, knowledgeable Abbas passionate about old Chinese architecture. I’d do a different tour with her. Our ride from Shanghai was superb, the car clean. I had a great day out with Caroline. The two water towns are beautiful and historically and culturally well worth a visit! A wonderful way to get out of Shanghai. Caroline’s English is fabulous and she never tired of sharing information and giving insight into history, language and culture.

Kimi was our guide and took us through 2 amazing towns. He knew we loved pictures and was patient with us and tried to show us as much as he could. Both towns are beautiful yet so different so I am happy we got to experience both. One of our favorite days in Shanghai.

We had a wonderful tour to Wuzhen and Xitang with our guide Kimi and driver. Kimi was incredibly knowledgeable and kind, explaining not only the sites we visited but also sharing insights about Chinese history and culture. He was very thoughtful and caring throughout the entire trip. Kimi also made great efforts to arrange delicious local meals for lunch and dinner, and he took the time to explain the dishes and local food culture. The tour was truly excellent, and we highly recommend touring with Kimi.

This tour was a well-planned and relaxing experience. Caroline, our tour guide, was very friendly, accommodating and resourceful. The first half of the tour takes place in Wuzhen where you get a more historical view of the water town. The second half is in Xitang where it’s more modern with its cafes/bars and nightlife. The gorgeous lights and lanterns of Xitang are a must-see. In addition to the enchanting lighting, the live music and calming canal waters make for a magical vibe. My aunt and I really enjoyed both Wuzhen and Xitang. Tip: if you’re visiting in December, be sure to bundle up with warm winter wear. A pair of gloves/mittens will go a long way!

We took the Wuzhen & Xitang private tour. Queena is very accommodating to include both Wuzhen East and West gates in our tour. Full flexibility given to us. We managed to cover Xitang night tour. Very pleasant night view on the night cruise. Brought us to local restaurants and we enjoyed the local delicacies. Overall a 5 star tour!

We had an amazing day trip visiting Wuzhen Water Town in the daytime and Xitang Water Town at night — it was the perfect combination! Wuzhen was beautiful, peaceful, and full of traditional charm, and seeing Xitang in the evening was completely different — the night scenery was truly magical and so photogenic. Our guide Caroline was fantastic — very knowledgeable, patient, energetic, and always caring about our comfort. She explained so much history and culture in an easy and interesting way. The driver was also very punctual and professional, which made the whole day smooth and stress-free. Highly recommended!

This tour was the highlight of our trip because we had the best tour guide, Caroline! She was so energetic, patient, knowledgeable and best of all, so much fun to be with! We knew this tour would be awesome from the very beginning because the tour operator asked us if we wanted to start the tour later so that we can experience the beauty of the lights in Xitang! Xitang and Wuhen are two water cities not to be missed as each are unique. Our guide Xin was lovely. She was great to talk to and full of information on the 2 water towns that we visited. She took is to 2 lovely restaurants, the one we went to for lunch was full of locals so we knew we were in for a great meal. The water towns themselves were very picturesque. Full of old world charm and history, making for great photography.

The tour was very well organised and it "transported us into the ancient times" when these water towns first came about. The suggestion by the travel agency on staying for the night lights at Xi-Tang was excellent. We really enjoyed riding the boat down the canal with lights from both sides of the shore. The meals included were delicious. The guide (Caroline) was excellent as she clearly explained each sites and stories from the past. I highly recommend this day trip by Shanghai Tours.

Sensational day. Our guide Caroline made the day perfect with her knowledge, energy, passion and beautiful nature. The preserved historical nature of these towns is authentic and a must see. Albeit very popular with the locals and Aussie like me found the tour enthralling being. To see the night lights and canal cruise you need to book the 11am pick up. Food was plentiful and authentic Chinese with an array of delicious selections for had core westerners. Everything is included and communication through the process was top notch. Caroline is very attentive and will make sure you have whatever you need. Couple of tips: It will be very hot and humid in August. Take soare tissues and be prepared for some Chinese toilets, although western ones are available. But thats China. E prepared for crowds in weekends. Can not recommend this tour or Caroline and her Driver highly enough. Beautiful day.

What an amazing day. We were met at our hotel by Caroline and picked up in a very comfortable and private Mercedes van with air conditioned and massaging chairs. Caroline began the tour right away by telling us some history and facts about Shanghai, which were very interesting. We made our way to Wuzhen and Xitang and stopped at a little restaurant where Caroline helped order lunch. Later we also had dinner and again, Caroline’s suggestions were perfect. Wuzhen and Xitang are beautiful places to visit, and definitely a highlight of our JapanKorea/China family vacation. WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! I traveled solo and thought this would be a small group experience… BOY WAS I WRONG! THIS WAS COMPLETELY PERSONALIZED JUST TO ME!! Everything from the very beginning was absolutely perfect. The driver and guide, Caroline, picked me up on time and were extremely polite. I was driven to both towns in a private car and the whole time was lovely. Not just were the destinations amazing and the most beautiful and magical places surrounding Shanghai, but Caroline made the whole day EXTREMELY SPECIAL, MEMORABLE, and JOYFUL! She is extremely knowledgeable and even helped me with my shopping, suggested dishes in both restaurants we went to, had very pleasant conversations throughout the day, and went as far as being my personal photographer! She is too sweet and has definitely set the bar BERY HIGH for any other tour guides I may have in the future. Caroline also answered ALL of my questions not just about the tour and the towns, but also about Chinese culture in general. I never had an awkward moment of silence or an uncomfortable moment. The whole experience felt more like I was traveling with a friend! Bottom line, I just want to book tours with Amazing Shanghai Trip from now on!!! I am being one hundred percent honest when I say Caroline made this experience 1000 times better… if I could, I would book EVERY SINGLE TOUR with her… YOU SHOULD TOO!!! Great experience and guide (Jane). We had booked for 9:30 AM but they suggested we leave a little later to be able to see the village at night when it was lit up and definitely glad we did! Cool shops and the pork at the first restaurant stop was one of the tastiest things I’ve ever eaten.

This was a great day trip. The guide was very friendly and attentive and knowledgeable about the history of the towns. She took me to eat at great spots that are popular with locals, which to me is always much more interesting than going to tourist spots. It rained a bit and the driver gave me his umbrella and jacket to stay warmer, which I was very grateful for! This tour is a great way to spend the day outside of Shanghai and see some very beautiful views and get some amazing photos

We had a magical day with Caroline at the two water towns. We drove two hours from Shanghai and stopped for a delicious lunch before going to the first water town. Caroline has perfect English and a very bubbly personality. She is delightful. She took lots of pictures of us and answered our many questions. The day before our tour, Alana communicated with us and found out we needed to be back at the hotel to get to the airport. She offered to take us to the airport after the second Watertown and that was way above and beyond what we expected. She also suggested we go a little later in the day so we could see the second Watertown all lit up. It was fantastic. We rode the boat at both Watertowns and enjoyed that so much. Our driver was great too! It’s quite tricky getting through the congestion and he did it masterfully. It was an absolutely fantastic day!

We had a very enjoyable time in Wuzhen and Xitang. Especially the night time experience in Xitang. Our guide Kimi was knowledgeable, accommodating and spoke English well. The lunch and dinner provided was top class - the food was tasty and we noticed that locals also dined there. Definitely well chosen dining venues. We had a comfortable Tesla car for the tour and the arrangement was seamless end to end. The tour coordinator Alana reached out upon confirmation and arranged everything perfectly. What a hidden gem of a tour! Our guide, Caroline, is amazing! She chose the best lunch and dinner places for us. If you ever wanted to see a couple of cute water towns… this is the tour to book. We walked around and took a couple boat rides in town. Did a little bit of shopping. Learned the history of the town… everything you would expect from a guided tour… it was provided.
