My husband booked dinner at the top of the tower for our 2nd day in Shanghai. Unfortunately the weather was awful but when the clouds cleared the view was exceptional 👌. Unfortunately the dinner buffet wasnt great but we didn't expect 5* given the kitchens location. The view off set the meal quality, we had a great time. Definitely worth doing.
Well-organized experience booking through Booking.com. The vendor, Travel China Guide, was very responsive and helpful in sending over the QR codes. The 118th-floor observation deck offered stunning views as we watched the sunset and the city lights turn on. Highly recommended!
So the organiser was fab, sent the tickets via WhatsApp and have NO complaints about him. We did pick 6:30pm which in hindsight was the worst time 🤣 everyone pushing and shoving to get ‘the shot’ and grown men pushing children out the way. The actual queue system to get back down needs re thinking as China isn’t known for their queue etiquette and it got a tad stressful. Once you’re up and if you manage to ger near the window: the views are stunning! Top tip - go up to the restaurant floor - less crowds!
I usually have a very good experience with Viator, but this time they didn’t send the QR code required for entry, only a barcode that was not accepted by Shanghai Tower.
If You can manage to buy ticket earlier under tower do it - it is much much cheaper than on viator. When You buy tickets for certain hour event during bad wether You are not able to refund them.
The views from the observation deck are incredible. I would recommend both this and the damper show to learn more about the way these buildings are constructed.
Great visit! Add the extra Dampener visit! It’s very impressive. Try and get there for before and after sunset then you get day and night … and sunset!

We booked a certain time at 4:30 pm, however our travels got us there earlier. The staff was very accommodating and let us go in early. That was very nice and we were able to enjoy great views.
Seeing the top of shanghai towers was wonderful on the top of the tower and also the way the direction were shown on the booking made it easy regards khuliso Luvhimbi from mutoti village South Africa

You won't believe what you'll see from the top of the building. Shanghai is incredibly beautiful, especially on a sunny day. Shanghai is beautiful from the sky.
The tower is amazing! Great views of the city and river. It is difficult to find the entry point but persevere and you will get there.
The city is beautiful and the sightseeing is awesome. The people of Viator were great. I had to change the date of the visit, and they were really helpful and nice
We felt that this was worth doing but was a bit over priced for what it is. Also had paid extra for the Damper show that was quite boring and would give it a miss

Great views but not much else (unless you like machines dispensing candy floss). The tower wasn't very busy when I went, so I was free to roam. But there wasn't a great deal to do - comparable buildings provide more information about what you can see in each direction. This would be a great addition.

It was the second time I went up on Shanghai Tower — first time was July 2023. But this time we had the chance to visit the Pendular as well. Shanghai Tower is the highest tower in Shanghai with the highest floor open to the public in the world and the world fastest high speed lift. The view is marvellous (with good weather). You can see most of Shanghai's most famous buildings in one sitting. We hadn't booked tickets beforehand but went to the ticket office at the tower itself and didn't have any problems. The Pendular and the story behind it was very interesting and worth a visit.
This is a SCAM do not buy. Is half of the price once you get here and you don’t even have to do a Line or stick to the hours this “tour” gives you
This was the most exciting part of our staying in Shanghai. The view is spectacular!!! Do not live Shanghai without going up there!
Simply put: a MUST do! Brilliant in every way. So much to take in: we went mid- morning before the tourists, which was great. Excellent views of Shanghai. You should do the full tour, as the top part about the buildings ‘damper’ system and the internal light show with the Jade ornament is to be seen to be believed! A truly amazing morning seeing this building internally & externally. This can only be rated as 10/10.
No chance to access the observation deck with the tickets provided. Very unclear message how to exchange a bar code to QR code. Finally managed to enter but it was after contacting the support center.

Amazing view but bad experience with Ttipadvisor booking. I only received a ticket with unusable bar code. And you need QRC!! Took me 1h to get via servide desk of provider an email with link to the QRC. At the top it was already darn outside.... but view was perfect.

The views are amazing, indeed! The evening especially was fairytale. During the day we went on the Bund and in the evening we took the cruise. I managed to see the images from the tower as well. I was in the story!
Queue was long, and storage of our bags an little issue as the lockers required payment via WeChat which we didn't have. Staff was helpful though and arranged the storage via a bypass. Views were simply breathtaking, and the lasershow at the top out of this world spectacular!
Unfortunately due to poor weather and bad visibility our experience was tainted. No fault of the Shanghai Tower staff who were excellent.

Aware that it was a must, we booked the observatory on the 118th floor (on the 119th there is a restaurant, I would almost call it fast food). We chose 6:30 PM to see the lights turn on at 7:00 PM on the Bund. The thing that is annoying is the huge crowd (if satisfied, I recommend going down before the end of the shift because the line to go down is significant). I believe it is not to be missed to get a complete view of the city at night.
A lot of culture, shopping opportunities, beautiful buildings. You can get an overview of the entire city in just a few hours.

It is fantastic just unfortunately we had a rainy day caught but it is absolutely worth it. The staff was extremely unfriendly.
Entry and exit very organized. Although it was full, we got a full view of the city day and night and followed the time when the lights went on.

With an altitude of over 600m, the tallest skyscraper in the city. The elevator accelerates you at 18m/s, which creates pressure in the ears. The Shanghai Tower is simply impressive and a must-see for every visitor. A technical masterpiece and visually beautiful! The view of the city all around is phenomenal. Further up, you can even enjoy a light show. The combination of architecture, technology and views makes Shanghai Tower an unforgettable experience not to be missed.
The tour was perfect, they send you the QR in time and form but it is very expensive. Spectacular views, yes. In 20 minutes you've already gone 3 rounds and you want to get off. Value Price
The view from Shanghai Tower is wonderful. We went at the end of the day and so we could see the city by day and lighting the lights until completely night. Wonderful. Super recommend

You cannot open Gmail in China. Then you can not retrieve the ticket that was sent a day earlier! Then it must be paid again!
