Our Shanghai tour with Amy was the absolute highlight of our trip—she’s an exceptional guide! Her English is fluent, warm, and natural, making every conversation feel like chatting with a dear friend. Amy didn’t just show us top spots like the Bund and Yu Garden; she shared fascinating hidden stories behind them, turning sightseeing into a vivid lesson. She was super attentive too: paused patiently for our photos, recommended amazing local eateries we’d never find alone, and even helped us order authentic xiaolongbao. Thanks to Amy, we didn’t just “visit” Shanghai—we experienced its heart. If you’re traveling here, booking her is the best way to make your trip unforgettable!

Our Shanghai tour with guide Jack was absolutely fantastic! His English is fluent and natural, making every explanation easy to follow. What impressed us most was his deep knowledge—he didn’t just list scenic spots, but shared vivid stories behind the Bund’s buildings and hidden gems in Yu Garden. Jack was super attentive: he adjusted the pace for elderly travelers, recommended authentic local eateries (the xiaolongbao spot he suggested was a hit!), and even helped us with last-minute train ticket changes. He turned a regular tour into a memorable journey. If you’re visiting Shanghai and need an English guide, Jack is the best choice. Professional, friendly, and passionate—he truly made our trip to this amazing city unforgettable!
Our Shanghai tour led by Susan was pure joy—easily the highlight of our Asia trip! Her English is impeccable: clear, conversational, and brimming with the kind of stories that make history feel alive. At the Bund, she didn’t just name buildings; she shared tales of 1930s bankers who worked there. In Tianzifang, she pointed out hidden art galleries only locals know, then recommended a cozy café for the best latte in the area. She’s also so attentive—paused whenever we wanted photos, adjusted the pace for our group, and even helped us bargain gently at a souvenir shop. Susan doesn’t just show you Shanghai—she helps you feel it. If you want an authentic, stress-free tour, she’s the absolute best choice!
Our Shanghai tour with Susan was nothing short of fantastic—she made the city feel like a story, not just a list of spots! Her English is impeccable: clear, friendly, and full of energy that kept our whole group engaged, even the teens. At the Bund, she didn’t just name buildings—she shared little-known tales of the 1920s merchants who lived there. In Tianzifang, she guided us to a hidden handcraft shop (way better than the busy ones!) and even haggled gently for our souvenirs. She also adjusted the pace when my mom needed a break—so thoughtful. Susan isn’t just a guide; she’s someone who loves Shanghai and wants you to love it too. 10/10 recommendation for anyone visiting!
Highly recommend. Jack was extremely knowledgeable and ensured the tour was enjoyable and interesting We got to see lots and learned alot about Shanghai and Chinese culture. he went at our pace and we never felt rushed.
We had an amazing experience. Our tour guide Jay Jay didn’t feel like a tour guide. She felt like a relative we were visiting in another country showing us around. We were limited on time and it started raining but I can tell you the info she gave out to us was perfect. We were able to do a custom itinerary. I suggest doing the Yu garden towards the night time. I recommend this for anyone and our tour guide Jay jay! We have a 3yr old with all the energy in the world and when we travel it’s hard to take pictures. As parents I’ll let my wife take pictures first then I take pictures next. Jay jay was so down to earth that of course we were comfortable with her but our son loved her and he’s picky. So we were able to take some pictures while she was entertaining our son. Jay Jay, thanks again from Lloyd , Wendy and Legend.
I had booked a tour for my cousin and they really enjoyed. The car was clean. The driver was polite and helpful. It was a private tour booked for the day. Mr Jason also helped them with indian lunch. Thank you so much and would definitely contact you again.
We are a family of four, with two young girls aged 8 and 10. This is our first visit to Shanghai and it was made very memorable and enjoyable, thanks to our excellent guide, Jason. Jason took us on a small group tour (11 persons, including four of us) around the main attractions, including the Bund, French Concession, Shanghai Museum and Yu Garden. The tour also included lunch, which was certainly no 5-star meal but sufficiently appetising and adequate (all things considered). The tour was paced quite nicely by Jason, with sufficient time given at most stops. There were 2 compulsory shopping stops (jade and tea), which were slightly lengthy, but we all took it in our stride, as there was minimal hard sell, compared to most other tourist "traps". Jason was very professional, attentive and obliging throughout the tour, trying his best to accomodate every request and answer every question. He also threw in some funny jokes for good measure, to keep us entertained throughout the day. Overall, we had a great time taking in the city's main attractions on this tour. Jason is one of the best guides we have ever come across and we highly recommend him and his driver for any visitor(s) to Shanghai.
Good tour guide... funny guy! Very knowledgeable about shanghai... knows the best and affordable food in the city. Flexible with the schedule!
In Shanghai, Jason is the perfect tour guide. He took us for a tour of the whole city, to good restaurants for dinner and also for the River Cruise. If you are planning to visit Shanghai....Jason is the right person to contact.
My tour guide, Nini, took me to the best places. This included a meal (vegetarian, by my request) at a restaurant that simply blew me away. Another amazing highlight was a trip to the silk factory. It was fascinating and the shopping was simply glorious! We did a lot in the day and she also arranged for me to go to the Water Village the day of my flight out of China, which would otherwise would have been sitting in an airport for hours until my plane began boarding. Also lots of photo ops and a good mix of history and shopping.
It's a great tour. You can't beat the price. If you were to try and do these attractions on your own, you would spend more money and time. They have it down to a science. Locals giving the tours, so they know all the info. Local drivers, so they know the best routes. They also get discounted tickets at the attractions. You can't beat it!!
we booked a private tour for shanghai City, our guide Jason , he was very friendly and nice, he showed us all the highlights in shanghai City, and we also had a delicious lunch! Jason did an excellent job! we highly recommend Jason·s tour! Thank you so much!
Eva war eine fantastische Führerin , die uns mit viel Leidenschaft ihre Stadt erklärte Sehr bemerkenswert und äußerst hilfreich und beeindruckend
100% recommended tour. We had an excellent guide, Luciana, and a very good driver, there were 4 of us and a large car arrived so we were very comfortable. Very good tour! We visited very beautiful parts of Shanghai, it was so good that the next day we also took another tour with the same agency and guide. The guide was very friendly, spoke excellent Spanish and told us a lot about the city and the culture.
On my solo trip through Asia, I unfortunately had little time to see Shanghai. Given the gigantic dimensions of the metropolis and no language skills, a small-group 1-day tour is therefore the ideal choice to see some of the city's many highlights and get expert background information from an English-speaking guide. Stops visited included: The Bund, Shanghai Old Street, Yuyuan Gardens, Old French Consession, Shanghai Museum and a visit to a silk weaving mill. In between there was a lunch and a tea ceremony. You drive with an air-conditioned mini-van and also get enough water bottles. Tips and entrance fee for museum went extra. Jason speaks great English, is perfectly organized, well-read, expert, has a lot of humor and is absolutely customer-oriented. (The following day I planned to watch an acrobatics show in the evening. Jason organised a ticket for me and made sure I got to the venue safely.) A great day! Five out of five stars.
