Shanghai Night River Cruise Vip Seating With Private Transfer And Dinner Option

Booked this experience since I wanted a private experience with my boyfriend from start to finish. Received a message on pick up time and a private vehicle ( mercedes benz) picked us up right on time outside our hotel and took us towards the cruise terminal. From there we met our tour guide maisie who showed us the way, got our tickets and we had a private area on the front of the boat all to ourselves! It was literally just us. The rest of the boat was filled with people so it was nice having our exclusive area. She explained the buildings, landmarks and areas along the cruise. We were able to enjoy the snacks/beer and unlimited views for pictures. The cruise itself was about an hour from the north bund to south bund round trip. We opted for the dinner option afterwards, our driver was always available to take us from place to place. She took us to a local restaurant and we told her to surprise us on what locals would order or you have the option to look at the menu. The food was amazing. She ordered us noodles, dim sum, bbq pork, fried rice and dessert w/drinks. The driver then met us and took us back to our hotel. The whole experience from start to finish was about 3 1/2 hours and we truly enjoyed the whole experience. I would recommend if you want to enjoy a nice private evening without the hassle of figuring things out in a foreign city.

I booked the Shanghai Night River Cruise with VIP seating, private transfer and the dinner option. Using the private transfer option is a no-brainer given peak-hour traffic in Shanghai. It allowed me to relax during the drive, knowing the driver would ensure I arrived on time. Communication from the tour operator was excellent, with reminders and confirmation before the event, followed by a message afterwards to check that everything had gone as planned and that I had enjoyed myself. On arrival, I was met by my tour guide, Cora. Our tickets had already been purchased, so we made our way to the vessel. The cruise lasted 45 minutes and I really enjoyed seeing the contrast between the city's landmarks during the day and at night. The twinkling lights on the buildings make such a difference! A few tips if you're planning to do this cruise: * Arrive early, as the queues are very, very long, both for buying tickets and boarding the vessel! * Spend a little extra by purchasing the VIP option. It gives you access to the top deck, where there are fewer people and you can enjoy unobstructed views. Bear in mind, though, that the top deck isn't covered. * Remember to bring your passport. Following the cruise, we were driven to a Chinese restaurant in the Conrad Building on Nanjing Road for dinner. Cora proved to be a delightful dinner companion and thoughtfully chose dishes that reflected the type of meal typically enjoyed by local residents. I enjoyed our conversation which covered various topics. It was especially interesting to hear about the differences between traditional and modern views on family life. It was a lovely way to round off the evening. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and recommend it without hesitation.

Michael was a fantastic tour guide. He got us seats outside on the top boat deck and when it started raining, he made sure we had rain ponchos. He knows all of the history of Shanghai and its many buildings that we passed along the way! He is a fluent in English. Thanks for a fun night and a great education.

Our driver collected us promptly from hotel and we were taken to meet our guide, Michael, outside the ‘port’ for the cruise. We sat outside in the VIP area and Michael was chatty and interesting. We learned a lot. The night was clear and it was lovely seeing the Bund on either side lit up. The driver then took us to a local restaurant for dinner. Michael made some great suggestions and we really enjoyed our meal. Our driver then dropped us off at our hotel. 5 ⭐

Michael was an incredible guide, and this tour was an example of why you should use a professional tour service as opposed to just figuring things out on your own. Michael and his driver picked us up at our hotel as arranged and we headed to the pier for the cruise. On the way, he gave us some very interesting information about sites and history of Shanghai. Once we arrived at the pier, it was much busier than expected due to a recent policy change at the pier, but since Michael is a well respected and connected tour guide, he was able to make some last minute changes which we could never have done on our own, and instead of waiting for over an hour, he had us on a ship in the VIP area within 15 minutes. Amazing! I couldn't recommend this tour enough, and especially Michael! He was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and his English was excellent. You can tell he loves what he does, and that's exactly the kind of guide you want to have while on vacation. Thank you!

A great experience with our 1:1 guide Michael. The 1hr boat trip was wonderful with access to the VIP area giving great views of the Shanghai skyline, seating, complimentary drinks and snacks and an air conditioned area. The meal afterwards was great with Michael expertly guiding us to a spot in a mall that we would never have found! Many thanks Michael for a wonderful evening experience.

Highly recommend this private tour experience! The team was very communicative leading up to the tour and made sure all the logistics are squared away. Our driver to/from the hotel was prompt and fun, and our tour guide Annie was great! Very charismati, accomodating and knowledgeable. This is a great tour to book if you’re looking for a private, well-organized VIP experience.

We had an amazing time with our English speaking tour guide Roy! After an amazing dinner at a local restaurant we were treated to a wonderful river cruise and spectacular view of the Shanghai waterway! Roy had great energy and I highly recommend this tour.

The tour is lovely and offers the best views of both sides of the city separated by the river (new and old parts). The VIP tour is different, with much fewer people and an excellent view of the city. It's worth every penny. The guide, Michael, is excellent. The dinner, besides being delicious, was an incredible experience. The presentation of the dishes was very beautiful. I highly recommend this company and the guide, Michael. They were punctual and super professional. It was great to learn a bit of the city's history with Michael. Although it rained a little, it didn't spoil the sightseeing trip at all.

Michael took us to a restaurant where he ordered some authentic chinese food for us to try, and it was delicious! Especially the prawn balls which came out with some dry ice for a special effect! For booked VIP tickets for the river cruise and i can honestly say it was the best decision ever. The large boat was super crowded in the regular tickets, but with the VIP area, we were lucky enough to only have three other people to share it with. And we had some crisps and a soft drink included. I cannot recommend it enough!

We had been on a shopping trip with Sunny and it was so good that we booked a vip evening cruise with dinner too. Really wished we’d done it earlier in the trip. Michael (our tour guide) was so welcoming, so kind and considerate and filled our heads with so much information. Now, if we’d done it earlier in the trip, we would have explored different parts of Shanghai - we thought we had seen a lot! But Michael shared so much more than we had discovered on our own! The cruise was breathtaking- the VIP lounge uncrowded and has the best views. Michael very kindly explained how the city had evolved and the meaning behind many of the buildings we saw. But that was interspersed with historical facts about the Opium war, the Chinese dynasties and the different regions of China. Once the cruise was over we were swept off to dinner in the luxury private vehicle- EV’s are really the thing here! But sheer luxury. I don’t know where to start with dinner… Michael showed us how to eat Shanghai soup dumplings - glad he did! They were tricky but so delicious. So much food, all delicious but my personal favourite was the ‘prawn tree’ it was a spectacular sight and tasted amazing. We feel like we need to visit again to catch all the parts we missed.

Robert is a great guide! We appreciated Sunny’s communications with us prior to the start of the tour to make sure we were picked up on time and in the right location!

We started out with Lea taking us to a local restaurant, and as a picky eater I was nervous, but Lea was very helpful and we had an amazing dinner experience. Next we went to the river cruise (we had the VIP tickets, which I would highly recommend as there was extra space to take great photos. Lea provided great insight into the history and culture of the area. She was a delight to be with for the evening, it was if we were out for the evening with a friend, and we wished she would be our guide for our next two tours, but she was already booked.

Cassie is the best guide you could wish for on a night cruise. Very friendly and informative. The tour was fantastic ending with a great Shanghai meal. Worth asking for Cassie Chen to be your guide.

Michael was wonderful. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed his knowledge of Shanghai and attentiveness. Seeing the city at night was spectacular and learning about its history from Michael brought the old and new into perspective. The dinner at a local restaurant was outstanding!

The cruise was espetacular! Our tour guide Roy was so kind and gave us all information needed about the buildings that we saw on the way, keeping the experience even better, with a taste of history as well! The cherry on top was the fact that we were lucky enough to see a drone show on the sky, so unique. I highly recommend this tour. The pick up and drop off service just makes everything easier.

This was a well organized tour. The Bund was not crowded in late December but I have been there in the summer when it was, so wanted to have tickets and boat arranged beforehand. The driver picked us up on time and was very friendly. Dina accompanied us on the boat , provided us with background on the sights in fluent English, and took many photos for us. The views were amazing.

What an enjoyable tour of Shanghai’s spectacular and iconic river views! We learned a lot about Shanghai’s history and Chinese culture in general from our excellent tour guide Michael, who was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The dinner was delicious and a great opportunity to sample authentic local cuisine. Thank you, Michael, and also Charles, our nice driver and Sunny, who organized the tour! It was a truly wonderful way to bid farewell to 2025!

We were picked up from our hotel in a luxury van and driven to the restaurant where we were greeted by Cassie. After dinner we were went on to the boat for a spectacular view of Shanghai by night from the VIP are on the top deck. Cassie was informative and lots of fun - taking many memorable pictures of us.. Highly recommended.

Amazing experience assisted by Sunny and Annie. Annie was our tour guide who spoke with good English fluency. The pick up and drop off was convenient. Annie was amazing to interact with and very good with photography! I recommend this to anyone who wants amazing close up and private photos with the Shanghai night lights.

Beautiful view of the night time lights. VIP view definitely worth it as it was uncrowded and view was unlimited. Easy to take good pictures which our guide, Cassie, did for us! Driver picked us up in a nice car and you can choose what type of restaurant to go to for dinner. Cassie described what we were seeing and we got a complimentary drink and bag of potatoes chips.

The Shanghai Huangpu River Cruise was an amazing time with beautiful views of both sides of the river. The Pudong side and the Bund views were up close and fantastic. Lea, our private tour guide was very friendly, informative and professional. Lea took us to a restaurant for dinner, which was part of the tour package. The food was so delicious. Fantastic experience! First, a nighttime river cruise on the Huang Pu river with the light show on the futuristic Pudong skyline followed by a delicious authentic traditional dinner. Cassie is an excellent tour guide. I give her and the experience 5 stars!

The ferry cruise was excellent. Lucy was a great guide, we went during golden week in China and she still managed to get us the best seats on the cruise. So informative and friendly. Would highly recommend.

We did the cruise with two families and it was fantastic. The dinner was at a restaurant and not the boat but it wasn’t a problem as it allowed us to eat before cruise. The restaurant was really good and probably some of the best food we had in Shanghai. Afterwards the company organised VIP tickets on the boat and we got really great views of all the buildings. Our host was Sammy and she was very good company, informative and friendly and looked after us really well. Lastly the whole process of booking and communication was really good , the company were very easy to deal with and even accommodated last minute pickup point changes on our side.

It was an amazing view, we did it in a vip zone, with a very good view of the "show". The guide was very nice. They picked us at the hotel and after the boat tour, recommended a very good restaurant.

The river cruise was a splendid boat trip! We thoroughly enjoyed the stunning night views of the city’s skyline. Our guide Shirley was the perfect host - she even provided us with tickets to the Chinese Circus in Shanghai, which was absolutely spectacular!

We did this trip on our first night in Shanghai when we were all quite tired with jet leg having arrived from London that morning. I’m so glad we did go. The guide was super communicative and arranged for a lovely car to pick us up from our hotel. We almost missed the boat as we were late arriving (entirely our fault) but our guide led us with a quick run to get on the boat. We did the 6.50pm sailing which is recommend as you depart in the light, sails during sunset and arrive back in darkness. The photos we got were amazing. When we arrived there was another car waiting to collect us to return us to our hotel. Our guide Sunny was the star of the show. She was lovely and so informative, looking after us and making sure she sent pictures of the whole group to mark the occasion. Overall an excellent experience

Our guide was extremely fluent in English - knowledgeable about Shanghai and even gave us shopping tips! They answered all our questions, gave us trivia about the important landmarks we saw and took memorable photos of my family. The food was also very good! It makes me want to come back and stay longer!!! Excellent service and soooo worth it!

Lucy our guide was fantastic- she was very knowledgeable, personable and welcoming ensuring we had the best position in the VIP area on the boat. Lucy’s knowledge of the Shanghai district was amazing. The trip was a must when in Shanghai !!!!
