Shanghai Authentic Dinner And Night River Cruise With Rooftop Bar Hopping Option

This tour was wonderful from start to finish. The authentic Chinese cuisine was some of the best I've ever had and Shanghai is absolutely gorgeous at night by boat. The true crowning jewel the whole tour was ending at the rooftop bar that overlooked the entire bund area and Pudong skyscrapers. It must be the best view in the city. Roy was an amazing guide, so knowledgeable and I learned so much. Charles, the driver was amazing and took us all around. The door-to-door service was exceptional. I'm trying to navigate a new city with a language barrier. I also want to mention how wonderful sunny was with communication prior to the tour. I have lots of questions. She was incredibly responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to feel like a VIP the whole night, especially if you only have a short time to see Shanghai, are traveling solo, or if you want the insiders view of the area.

This was a fun trip, but very different from what we were expecting. The dinner cruise turned out to be two separate events miles apart. We had a good meal and then dashed to join hundreds of our new friends buying boat tickets! Then struggled to get onto the boat. None of this was planned in advance so there was a bit of stress with the timeline and getting to places. But our guide Cassie was great. Very friendly and helpful. Good English skills too. And the lights on the river were wonderful! So in all it was good experience, just a bit different from what we expected.

We had a lovely time, Robert did his best to accommodate our needs, also took some great photos of my family and I with the pearl tower. Food was amazing, best we've eaten since being in Shanghai. Price wise, it felt worth it personally. They picked us up and dropped us, plus we got food and did the cruise I think it was worth it. City is very busy, and everyone is on the go, place is so lively. Cruise length feels short, but for my family we have 2 kids so it was good for us. The scenery is beautiful and absolutely worth it.

We had good time but felt abit rush… The car is very modern and nice, driver is very nice and friendly. Dinner felt like a normal one notthing special … Cruise is cruise notthing you can change. The rooftop bar has nice view… The tourguid is very nice.. I had no complaints about the driver and tourguid but Honestly, For almost $400 is not worth it.. I can totally had a very nice dinner at the one of the best restaurants and take the separate normal cruise.

Highly recommend this experience. We had a great time with Shirley, fantastic food and the boat trip was super interesting. We managed to miss the pick up point due to bus issue but were picked up at alternative point and Shirley worked hard to rearrange the rest of the trip. Thanks so much!

This experience was the perfect way to enjoy a night out in Shanghai! From the start, everything was seamless — hotel pickup and drop-off made it completely stress-free. The dinner was delicious and set the tone for a wonderful evening. The Huangpu River cruise was absolutely stunning; gliding past Shanghai’s glittering skyline and iconic landmarks at night was unforgettable. We really appreciated being able to choose whether to have dinner before or after the cruise, which made the evening feel very flexible and relaxed. We also added the rooftop bar stop, and it was the perfect finale — sipping a complimentary drink while looking out over the city lights was magical. Overall, our tour guide Sunny took great care of us! This tour combines great food, breathtaking views, and a smooth, well-organized experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Shanghai!

We booked the tour on the day-of, and the operator was able to accommodate us for that evening. At first, we were not able to select our hotel, so we contacted the operator, who got back to us very quickly on all the logistics. They allow you to pick what to do first (cruise first or dinner first); otherwise, they would arrange what works best. The car that picked us up arrived very early, and the vehicle was huge for 3 people (included comfortable chairs with massage options and provided us free water bottles). Our guide Roy (spoke fluent English) met us at the cruise terminal, and the night view was stunning. Having grown up in Shanghai, Roy provided us a lot of local and historical details about the city and its evolution, and he pointed out the different buildings as we passed by. He also recommended us a few eating spots and rooftop bars. After the cruise, we went to a Shanghainese restaurant and ordered a lot of local dishes. The guide recommended the popular dishes, but ultimately you pick whatever you want. Although we missed the kitchen cutoff time for dessert, Roy then ordered us bubble/fruit tea that was right inside the mall location we were in. Overall, the experience felt so nice! Seamless and well worth it!

A fantastic experience from start to finish. Sunny was on the ball and added a personal touch. Our guide, Roy was knowledgeable and pleasant and was fluent in English. The cruise was a little crowded but the scenery and sites were amazing and since we did this in the night, the lights and energy were very vibrant and beautiful. The dinner too was great. An authentic Shanghai dinner with every meat you could ask for, on the menu. Very tasty and a clean and lovely place. The bar too was nice and the view from the rooftop was breathtaking. All in all, I can highly recommend this tour.

I really enjoy this tour, all was great, i highly recommend it, the food was chinese and it was amazing!! The best food i tried in all china, the view of the cruise was incredible, all the lights at night around the river were stunning, and the bar view was stunning too, you can see all the city with the lights from the hight, and it was very nice, nice atmosphere and music, and finally my tourist guide shirley was so great, she speak very good english and she is very patient and nice, she took me many pictures, she was very patient for that too, and she is so friendly, she give you all the information you need about all the place in the tour, i really dont have any complaint about this tour, i really had a god time and enjoy it a lot!!

Calvin was so knowledgeable about modern and history subjects. All of our questions were answered and we had a nice time. He took us to a traditional Shanghainese restaurant and it was easily some of the best food we’ve ever eaten

We had a wonderful experience starting with our guide Shirley. She was on time, met us with a smile and genuinely lovely. Very informative explaining the area and history to buildings very detailed and spoke English extremely well. We had great tour with cruise, dinner and bar experience. Shirley helped us with dinner selections and recommended items for us to try. Private car was fantastic with no trouble with pick up and drop off. Definitely recommend this tour.

We had a great time with Kalvin, a warm, friendly and knowledgeable 100% local born and bred Shanghainese guide equally fluent in both English and Mandarin. Kalvin was very hospitable and took great care of us (family of 3 - including child and pregnant wife), and provided expert commentary and insights on Shanghai, including its history, the culture, significant landmarks and all of its milestones and heritage. The Shanghainese food dinner was good (part of package) and the Huangpu river cruise had a VIP option for 50 Yuan per person which was well worth it. I would rate 10 stars out of 5 stars if I could - highly highly recommended.

We loved this experience - our tour guide Shirley was very knowledgeable of all the buildings along the Bund and the history of Shanghai. Shirley went out of her way to make sure we had a good time and we had a lovely dinner together at the conclusion of the cruise. We were looked after the entire time, and the driver was also friendly and accommodating.

We had a great experience with both organising the tour with Sunny and with Kalvin our guide. He was very friendly and knowlegable, we had a nice meal and learnt all about Shanghai and its people. The views on the cruise are amazing and the drink at the bar overlooking the river was a perfect end to the night. Would highly reccomend this tour!

The driver arrived early and picked up us from our hotel at Qiantan (the outskirt of Shanghai). After 20 minutes’ drive into the city, we were greeted with our tour guide, Mason who spoke very good English. Mason gave us an introduction of Shanghai while we were waiting for the cruise boat. There were a lot of internal Chinese tourists, expect crowd everywhere in China. Mason helped us navigating through the over-crowed queues and got onto the cruise boat. Despite the very poor weather with rain and wind, we still managed to see the beautiful Shanghai night sense. It is worth the trip. Manson was really helpful explaining the major landmarks. After the 45 minutes cruise, Mason took us to a real authentic Shanghai Restaurant for dinner, tasty Peking Duck and Shanghai dumplings. No need to worry about the menu if you do not know Chinese, Mason will do all the ordering for you. After dinner, Mason and the driver took us back to the hotel. Very good first day in Shanghai, thanks to Mason. If you are new to Shanghai, definitely recommend you use a tour guide for your trip. Enjoyable tour with Sunny Tour and Mason, being well looked after with a 5-start treatment. Thank you.

Booked this (just dinner and cruise, no bar-hopping) on short notice as we had enjoyed another tour with this operator the day before very much. Our previous guide wasn‘t available though so this time Leo accompanied us on our tour where we had dinner at a local restaurant near to our hotel first so we had to walk there. Contrary to what was announced beforehand, Leo didn‘t help us order our dishes but informed us about a pre-ordered meal and left us as soon as we were seated in order to give us more privacy because we had invited a guest. The restaurant though was a big disappointment - the service was abysmal, bordering on unfriendly (we were largely ignored and had to repeatedly ask for a waiter so that we could get some drinks and rice etc - we were told rather harshly that neither orange juice nor coke were available but weren‘t told what we could order instead, so we were quite astonished when they finally did bring us two glasses of orange juice) , the dishes not to our liking and not even very tasty (about half was left although the portions were rather small and we really don‘t like to waste food) and we even had to pay for our juices as we were about to leave, although dinner was included in the tour. We left not hungry, but not satisfied either, and a little embarrassed to have invited our guest to such a place. The following river cruise part was very nice for my husband and me who got to enjoy the cruise standing on the open upper deck with Leo who immediately led us to the best spot for sightseeing, pointed out and explained the sights to us in fluent German and even added some interesting photos and facts about other aspects of Shanghai. Frankly, we had a blast and my husband still raves about it. My elderly mother though who couldn’t climb the stairs and stand the whole time and our guest were left downstairs to sit at a table which was ok in itself, but they couldn‘t enjoy anything because the interior was brightly lit and the reflections in the windows prevented any sights. Unfortunately, there wasn‘t any staff to ask to dim or better yet switch off the lights (there was no service for drinks or snacks anyway, and no restrooms to visit so people just sat at the tables for the duration of the cruise) so my mother would have appreciated Leo to come and see whether she or our guest needed anything, but even at the end of the cruise when they had to get up and leave the boat, he didn‘t go and check on them. The boat itself was plain but clean - there are perhaps nicer and more comfortable ships doing river cruises, but as the sights on the Bund and Pudong are the main attractions, we found it well worth our money and time IF ONE IS ABLE TO STAND ON THE UPPER DECK AND THE WEATHER IS FINE. As our tour guide was so informative and entertaining, we would do the tour again in a heartbeat (under the condition to find another restaurant and perhaps to have a say in choosing our meal) and recommend the tour to anyone not being disabled under the above conditions as well. The tour operator also seemed genuinely interested in our opinion and when we told her about our restaurant experience I felt she was truly affected so she even very generously offered to give us a free ride to the airport on our way back home which we declined. All in all, we found their service commendable and are very glad we did this tour as we would have missed a wonderful and most enjoyable experience.

Sunny was a great tourguide on our private trip with useful insights and hidden information about Shanghai. She made our little night journey really special with a local Chinese great restaurant which we would have never find out and a bar on top of the city with great DJ music and an amazing view along the river and night skyline. Would always book it again with her.

Sunny is a very nice tour guide She is very friendly and makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed. Yong is a great driver too and drove us around the city very comfortably and always on time. Firstly we did thr boat tour and then Sunny took me to a nice restaurant where I had authentic Shanghai cuisine. Amazing food. Then Sunny and I visited rooftop Bar and it has an amazing view of skyline. Thank you Sunny for the tour :)

Anne was an excellent guide and companionship throughout the whole experience. I was taken to a traditional Chinese restaurant and had the best possible meal. We had a fantastic time on the cruise by the river and drinks at a rooftop with a view to die for!¡ 100% recommended.

Eight of us enjoyed this tour with Suny as our tour guide. We were met at our hotel on time and transported to the river in a very clean vehicle with a superb driver. The cruise on the river was the highlight. Shanghai has an incredible light show that is best viewed from the river. Even though it was a partly rainy night the boat had covered areas. Then we enjoyed a traditional lazy Susan dinner at a local restaurant with plenty of delicious food choices. This was followed by a trip to the rooftop bar where again we had incredible views of the city. Suny our guide was very knowledgeable and informative. She spoke English very well and gave us a wonderful commentary throughout the whole trip. I would highly recommend this tour. It was worth every penny.

I highly recommend this tour. It was so amazing. It started with a pick up in our hotel. Then we went to a typical Chinese restaurant, where the food was delicious, and Sunny was very atencious bringing rich information about Shanghai. We went, then, to river cruise and we were so lucky the weather was good and we had stunning skyscrapers view. Finally, Sunny took us to a rooftop restaurant, where we celebrated our first day in Shanghai with a Champagne cheers.

I only had a few hours for sightseeing, and Lily was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. I mentioned before the river cruise that I wanted to find a certain type of gift afterward for my wife, so she called a shop she knew to ensure they would stay open an hour longer than normal just for me after the river cruise. The river cruise views were unforgettable, the dinner was fantastic, and the rooftop bar views were inspiring. They even arranged a driver round trip pick up/drop off from my hotel way out by the Pudong airport (for an additional but reasonable fee).

What a great way to start our visit to Shanghai! Lily was delightful and provided knowledgeable insight into Shanghai. The entire evening went off smoothly and the dinner was delicious. We highly recommend this cruise and dinner to all Shanghai visitors.

Lily was an absolute delight. She was very knowledgeable, courteous, thoughtful and fun. She took us to a restaurant used by locals and the food was fantastic. The night river cruise was a wonderful way to take in the lights of the river and not too long (45 mins). We would love to have gone bar hopping but we were too tired (& old). Everything is done for you from hotel pick up to return, no stress.

A nice evening starting with being picked up from our hotel. We decided to do the river cruise before dinner and good job we did as it started raining heavy just as we were coming of the river boat. The evening meal was really nice with Lilly, our tour guide helping us choose some very nice dishes. We then were taken to a rooftop hotel where we had a nice drink overlooking the river then dropped back at the door of our hotel.

My husband and I took my mother to Shanghai for a family trip and this tour night was a highlight. Dinner was in a restaurant we actually went back to the next day and Lily was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. She was a pleasure to be around and although we are not the most talkative people, she really put in a lot of effort to ensure we were comfortable. Rita was our tour guide who took us on a rooftop cruise in Shanghai followed by a sumptuous meal at a very authentic restaurant! It was an event so beautifully spent! Rita speaks very good English and was polite and helpful. We recommend her highly!
