Private Zhujiajiao Water Town Tour With Shanghai Zoo And Panda

We loved the water town. Melinda our guide was very nice. We also enjoyed seeing the pandas. However for us we spent too much time in the zoo as we only wanted to see the pandas. We would have preferred more time on our own in the WaterTown.

We really enjoyed the zoo portion of the tour. We got to see so many animals that we wouldn't normally see in the zoo's back home. Our favorite was the butterfly exhibit and the monkeys. The second portion of the tour was ok but felt more touristy. We weren't really interested in shopping so our time spent in the town was pretty short. The time to get to the town was also pretty long with the traffic so if I could do it over again, I would have just opted for the zoo. Rob, our tour guide, was great and he was a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed spending the day with him and appreciated all the efforts he made to make our tour enjoyable.

The overall experience was excellent, the zoo was well run and the village was beautiful. Our guide, Robert, was very attentive and efficiently addressed all our questions and needs.

Our experience was great. Easy pick up and drop off from our hotel. Our host Linda was great, explained everything and always smiled. We couldn’t have asked something better from a tour guide four our teenage kids.

This was an excellent tour. We saw everything we wanted to and more in Shanghai zoo. We didn’t get to Zhujiaojao water town due to flooding, however, our guide Yun, gave us a fantastic experience in Qibao town and the temple. Yun was fantastic throughout and our driver Mr Li was also excellent

Maisie and our driver made sure we navigated the extreme heat in Shanghai and had a wonderful day seeing Panda, Red Panda and Tigers at the Zoo without getting too hot! We also had a great trip to the Water Town which wasn’t too busy on our trip. Thank you!

Our day with Michael was one of the highlights of our visit to Shanghai. He was punctual, friendly, and made everything easy from the moment he picked us up at our hotel. At the zoo, he shared interesting facts and made sure we didn't miss the must-see animals, especially the giant pandas. His suggestion to take the tram was a great idea and made the visit much more comfortable. The afternoon in Zhujiajiao Water Town was equally memorable. We enjoyed authentic local dishes that Michael recommended, followed by a scenic boat ride through the canals. Strolling through the old streets was so much fun, and Michael was happy to let us explore at our own pace while pointing out the best places to shop for unique souvenirs. Michael's knowledge, patience, and attention to detail made the entire day enjoyable and stress-free. If you're looking for a guide who creates a personalized and memorable experience, we highly recommend him.

Very good day, Started with meeting Robert in our hotel lobby and he showed us to the pickup vehicle, which was very spacious, We headed to are first location the Shanghai zoo where Robert sorted out the tickets and the best way around the zoo to see the best animals, then we headed to the lovely town of Zhujiajiao where Robert showed us around and told us the history of the town, then showed us to a lovely restaurant for some lunch then we headed back out where Robert took us for our boat ride through the town.

Highly recommend this day tour. Annie was amazing tour guide- very friendly and personable and knowledgeable . we had a lovely couple hours around Shanghai zoo ( pandas were the highlight) before heading off to the beautiful water town for a stunning boat ride and lunch and souvenir shopping. Car was immaculate ( and lovely and cool - great respite from the heat!) and Mr Zhu driver was punctual. Communication before event was great via whatsapp

Lea was friendly, very accommodating to our needs and was knowledgeable of the surrounding areas. This was a great tour for our family, it checked all the boxes. The zoo and the waterway was beautiful, we highly recommend it!

What an excellent Tour. The amount of time is perfect, got to see and do everything we wanted without having to wake up very early and still got back to our hotel with pleanty time to spare for the evening. This was an excellent day. Right from the word go, Lea our guide was informative and friendly. Her English was very good and she was genuinely interested in learning about NZ, as she was about educating us about the China. Seeing Pandas on this trip was a must and we were fortunate they were actviely feeding when we saw them. The zoo grounds are very well kept. The history of the ancient water town was amazing and the preservation of the area was something to be admired. Floating along the canal was quiet surreal. Some amazing photo opportunities here. To top the great day off, Lea went out of her way to point us to a foot massage near our hotel.

We had a fabulous day with Michael! He picked us up at our hotel at 10am and we went directly to the zoo. He showed us the highlights (of course, the adorable pandas were first!), then the tigers and many other animals. He thoughtfully got us the tram ticket to reduce walking and crowds. We then went on to Zhujiajiao Water Town, had a delicious local lunch that Michael ordered (including baby shrimps and water bamboo!), then took a fun boat ride, and did lots of shopping on the fascinating streets of the town. We loved the Water Town Tour! Michael was very patient with our wanting to stop and look at things and offered great ideas and suggestions for where to get best souvenirs. We got back to our hotel about 5:30pm. Michael's English is excellent. We highly recommend this tour and Michael. You won't regret it!

Do it! Completely worth it. They picked us up from our hotel in an air conditioned van and had unlimited water bottles for us. Robert was amazing, so easy to talk to and have fun with. Would absolutely recommend.

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! The tour was extremely well organised, the guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole day enjoyable and stress-free. Every stop was beautiful and gave us plenty of time to explore and take photos. Transportation was comfortable, everything ran on time, and the overall atmosphere was fun and welcoming. One of the highlights of my trip — highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting!

I have chosen this tour as it perfectly matched my wishes to visit the Zoo to see giant pandas (a must) and the water town with lunch (vegetarian) and a boat ride. You get a private car with a driver so no delays anywhere and a guide, Linda was our fabulous guide. Everything was well organised and we enjoyed our time immensely. Linda was very friendly and helpful, knowledgeable about the history and sites. Would recommend. 5 star, Linda.

I’ve only just finished a perfect day seeing pandas munch on their breakfast bamboo, savouring local delicacies expertly cooked and reclining in the back of a gondola drifting down the waterways of Zhujiajiao Water Town. A truly magical and unforgettable experience made even better by Sunny Tour’s expert guide and the most luxurious private chauffeur experience I’ve ever had: Shanghai traffic isn’t so bad when your heated chair is massaging you. I highly recommend the zoo and Zhujiajiao Water Town experience for relaxation, comfort and beautiful memories.

Had a fantastic day visiting the Zoo and Water garden. My guide Cassie was great, informative and fun. The driver was also very good. The lunch was yum.

Would have given 6 star if it was possible. Annie was amazing. Very knowledgeable, excellent communication skills, can guess what you are thinking about and very accurate with time management. Would highly recommend the trip. We saw pandas having fun eating and the Zhujiojio water park was excellent also bought pearls.

Our family of 4 (12 year old daughter and 15 year old son) had a wonderful day with Robert. We live in Singapore and are American expats for reference. We are doing a mini tour across China (Shanghai, Xian, and Beijing) for Spring Break and recommend this outing. Nice to get out of central Shanghai (Bund) and see some different parts including the pandas and water village. Highlight was definitely the water boat although a little shorter then I had anticipated (15 minutes) and then we were able to walk the village and get in some shopping. Robert has very good English, attentive to our needs, and overall nice disposition. We enjoyed the day with him.

If you get Robert you will be taken care!! He went out of his way to help us get to a pharmacy before our tour even started. He never rushed us to get back on time and was very patient and answering all our questions. He took us to a nice local restaurant for lunch on the water. I would recommend this tour and even ask for Robert he was such a gentleman and very knowledgeable about his city.

Our tour guide Lea was fantastic! My grandson loves her. She was extremely friendly and was very knowledgeable with the area and the history. The pandas were the highlight.

Fantastic tour. Guide was knowledgeable and gave us plenty of time to explore at our own pace. She knew all the tricks to give us the best experience. We got to see the pandas eating, eat local cuisine, and go on an amazing boat ride. The local cuisine was incredible and she helped us order and taught us how to use the plates and utensils. Overall 10/10 experience. We only had a short time in Shanghai and this was a highlight.

We decided to do this tour as we wanted to see outside of the bustle of Shanghai and experience some older cultural parts of this huge city. Sunny Tours were very well organised - they gave us great information on what to expect, and when we had to make some last minute inconvenient changes to the date, they accommodated our request. Out guide Robert came to pick us up at our hotel and at all stages was the epitome of a gracious host. He was knowledgeable about Zhujiajiao, which is a picturesque water village and worth exploring. We also combined this with a trip to the Shanghai Zoo, as I especially wanted to see a Panda up close. Enjoyed the zoo as well, and Robert sorted all ticketing and made it very easy as he knew exactly how to navigate his way around. Saved a lot of time as the zoo is very large. Also experienced a lovely lunch Robert organised looking out over the Zhujiajiao canal. The vehicle was a very comfortable and fancy people mover, with a great driver. Thanks to Robert for all his knowledge and calm nature. Would recommend this day trip if I’m Shanghai!

Cassie was absolutely lovely and took so many pictures of us, which we really appreciated. We learned a lot about the local culture, animals, and small local shops, and got to see so much more than we expected. She also explained the meaning of Chinese writing characters and shared deep cultural insights, which helped us truly understand China—not just see it. Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable experience! I did some crazy thing too eating a scorpion!

Cassie picked us up at our hotel and took us straight to the zoo. The zoo is very large and so it was great to have her get us through the highlights so we could move on to Zhujiajiao. Along the way she told us all about the regions of China and the various dynasties. We loved Zhujiajiao, it was more quiet than we expected for a Saturday. Cassie also took lots of photos of our group and after a delicious lunch helped us with our shopping. Afterwards she dropped us off at the pedestrian walking street downtown so we could continue our evening. Great, friendly, and knowledgeable tour guide. Would recommend!

Fantastic 10/10 recommend. Our guide Lea spoke very good English, was lovely to chat to and full of local knowledge. She made the whole tour easy and assisted with translation for us in the water village and zoo. Transport was also top notch and very clean, very good time management with Lea and the driver. We left personal items in the car and Sunny arranged to have them delivered to our hotel that night. Very very good tour and very well run. Recommend if you are in Shanghai.

This was an absolutely fabulous experience. I learnt so much not just about the places I visited but also about the people I was introduced to. Shanghai Zoo is well worth the visit. We saw animals at their breakfast time and what was clearly their play time. The canal town is gorgeous and well worth visiting. But if you go I recommend going with a guide; you will learn so much more and you won’t have to sort out the arrangements.

We had a fantastic tour thanks to Roy, our private tour guide. He was super accommodating and helped us with a bunch of things (even exchanging our USD for Yuans when we had to pay at a place that didn't accept credit cards). The Zoo was amazing, being able to watch pandas one meter away. Took great videos of them playing and eating. They even posed for our pictures! Zhujiajiao water town was really nice and we were able to experience the very traditional side of China. We had tea at a very lovely tea house, took a boat ride through the canals, had a delicious traditional Chinese food lunch and explored the town at our leisure. Roy was very knowledgeable and made the whole experience very enjoyable. Would recommend this tour 100%!

I have an amazing experience with Cassie she was a great guide through Shanghai, in the zoo and the water city, have a lot of patience and make me feel like at home, very nice, gentile and smily, waiting for me during all the tours and showing me the boundaries of the city, I recommend her all my friends who was the opportunity to visit the city

The giant panda was the highlight of the day Enjoyed everything. It was a great capstone to a great trip.

We went to see the pandas . I find this company very efficient on time lovely knowledgeable guides. Helpfull too. very good all round When I change the plans slightly they were very quick to put it right for me. I thoroughly recommend them.

We had a fantastic day at Shanghai zoo and at the Water Village thanks to our l lovely Guide, Ruby. She arrived at our hotel exactly as arranged closely followed by our driver for the day . First stop was Shanghai Zoo. Ruby arranged the tickets and a zoo bus to get us to the panda enclosure ASAP. We spent a bit of time watching the pandas and taking photos and then wound our way back through the zoo visiting various animal enclosures on the way. Throughout this visit Ruby was very engaging and happy to answer our many questions . As we approached the exit she called our driver and arranged our pick up point to go to the Water Village. It was quite a trip n the car but we chatted throughout the journey and all the time Ruby pointed out points of interest to us. The Water Village is a really special place and it was very interesting to walk around the many narrow streets and over the bridges. Ruby was very knowledgeable about the history of the bridges and stopped for us to get photographs , she was happy to take photos of us when asked. Ruby stopped to show us a lot of traditional Chinese shops and food outlets. Part way through our time at the water village Ruby took us to a restaurant on the water’s edge for lunch. She took the time to find out what sort of food we liked and ordered a selection of Chinese food for us. The food was delicious and we enjoyed Ruby’s company over lunch. The second half of our visit to the Water Village included a trip in a gondola on one of the canals. It was relaxing. We had a really memorable day trip and only wish we could have stayed longer in Shanghai. It’s a beautiful city with lovely people, Ruby being one of them. We felt like we were saying goodbye to a friend when the trip ended. I highly recommend this tour.
