Highly recommended at night. Lucy did a great job getting us around the crowds and explaining what we were seeing throughout trip. VIP was a must and included on the boat ride.
Roy was our guide for the night, travelling with older gentleman very late 80’s walking cane etc and these guys accommodated every aspect for us. Ensured we got off and on boat safely away from the crowds, vehicle pick up right at door. Highly recommended. We were lucky enough to have Roy the next day for our day trip to Suzhou.
Our tour guide Roy was highly informative and took his time during the tour. His local knowledge added a lot of value to our trip and leaves me wanting to return to Shanghai as such a beautiful city.
Our amazing guide Sunny was punctual, her English proficiency and knowledge about the Shanghai Tower were superb. She was also very patient as the fog had to lift for us to photograph the sights. The dinner that night was enjoyable and the dishes she had selected for our families were most delicious. Definately recommended!

We had most wonderful time with our guide Mason. He provided us with an exceptional tour as we managed through the freezing cold night. He made our trip very memorable, like going out of his way to show us things in Shanghai that were different than the typical tour. This tour was the highlight of our time and Shanghai and one that will have memories from for a long time. Thanks Mason for a fabulous night.
Our tour was booked last minute and Sunny was very thoughtful in helping set up the tour for a time that worked best for us. Chris was our amazing guide. She was both knowledgeable and personable. As Americans traveling into Shanghai from a location hour away, we had some difficulty finding the right spot to meet Chris. But she was patient and came to us and even helped us book our return trip by public transportation. The river cruise offered jaw-dropping views of the city. Our guide identified both the new and old buildings and gave some wonderful history on the architecture of Shanghai. I ran out of words to describe the view from Shanghai Tower. I appreciated our guides patience as we took hundred of pictures of the city. She had extensive knowledge of the largest skyscrapers of the world. Chris brought us to the train station after the tour, helped us read the information on our tickets as we only speak/read English, and instructed us on where to go to catch our train. We would have been lost without her. She made the our business trip to Shanghai very special and I will never forget it. I hope to return as a tourist one day and take my friends in the same tour. The tour was very fast, the guide did not give time to observe, he spoke at 2X, the dinner was very fast anyway, more than half of the food was left because the place was going to close, of the options offered by the page, It is not true that one chooses, they have a determined route.
My experience with guide sunny in exploring Shanghai at night was nothing short of exceptional. Her knowledge, passion and professionalism made the tour an absolute delight. I had the chance to observe Shanghai at the top of Shanghai tower, watching the nightlife of Yu garden, the bund and Nanjing road. I had no idea I’d wait in line for 2 hours. Would have liked to have been informed about this. Also I never got a boat ride and I thought that was supposed to be part of the package as well. Having a local guide was good for language barrier, but the 2 hours in line but a damper on the whole experience.

The tour and my tour guide (Sunny) were awesome! The original tour was supposed to include a visit to the observation deck at the Shanghai Tower but, it was too foggy to see anything. Instead, we had a delicious Chinese dinner and visited The Bund, Old Town Shanghai, and Nanjing Road. The following day the bad weather cleared and my tour guide helped source a ticket to visit Shanghai Tower. My guide went above and beyond, and exceeded all my expectations. Do yourself a favor and just book it!

We've chosen the private tour with driver. Although there was nothing like usual on this day because of a state visit (closed roads, ferries that did not run), the tour became an adventure and a great experience at the same time. Our guide Martin knew how to defy the adverse circumstances and to show us the most beautiful places of nightly Shanghai. He knew a lot about Shanghai and was able to answer all questions in detail. A great tour with a great guide.
It was a great tour, we de able to see the amaizing Shangai skyline and the old town. The ferry ride was incredible and or guide Annie was really nice.
We did this tour on 21 st March. Annie our guide was prompt and met us at the Grand Hyatt. The weather was shocking but she encouraged us to put up our umbrellas. She took us up the tall tower and gave us a very good dialogue. Her English is perfect and witty too. Then we walked to the Ferry and went across to walk along the Bund. She took lots of good photos for us and explained the history. We ended at a beautiful hotel which she showed us inside and then hailed us a taxi back to our ship. I would highly recommend this tour and Annie too because she is great fun to spend a few hours with.
I was in China for the first time in Shanghai by myself. I wanted to see the city and I used Sunny Tours to schedule a night tour through Trip Advisor. It was and outstanding tour led by Lily. It was very easy to set up and meet for the tour. Touring with Lily was like going on a trip with a friend. She was knowledgeable and easy to talk with throughout the whole tour. I really enjoyed the 4 hour tour including dinner with Lily. Very beautiful city, interesting tour guide and fun time. --Neil J
I took this tour alone, so it was like spending an evening with a friend. My guide Lily was very easy to talk to, and she had lots of interesting information to share. She gave me complete freedom to choose how I wanted the tour to be. She even bought me steamed buns and fruits! The views from atop the Shanghai Tower is breathtaking. The Bund has a lot of interesting buildings with western architecture, and the old town was a delight to walk around. I bought a lot of stuff, thanks to Lily's terrific bargaining skills!! I really had only that one evening to look around Shanghai, and this tour made me get a flavour of the life in Shanghai in just about 4 hours. The price is slightly on the expensive side if you are taking the tour alone, but I would still say, go for it!!
Sunny's command of the English language and knowledge of Shanghai's history was excellent. The tour lasted about 3 hours including the trip to the top of the Pearl Tower, and ended with dinner at Din Tai Fung dumplings nearby. Sunny provided insight into Shanghai life, culture, and history while adding convenience for us as American tourists. Overall, I highly recommend.
