I had the nicest day with Tom. I sent him the itinerary I wanted to follow and we did all of that and more at a great pace. Another bonus is our driver dropped us off right at the entrance of everything we were doing so less walking and more time to enjoy the activity. He did such a lovely job explaining everything that we were seeing and giving just the right amount of detail, it was so interesting and left me with such a warm feeling about Shanghai. He even made suggestions of things I could go to the next day on my free day.

Fantastic private tour of Shanghai. Tom accommodated our needs and took into account our ideas for what we wanted to see. He is very well versed in Shanghai history. Thoroughly enjoyed our day!
Tom was an excellent guide. He took us to fabulous sites and lunch. He has a beautiful clean new car. He personalized our trip after we gave him input. He suggested a tailor who came to our hotel to have a custom suit made and brought us to some great shopping spots.
We did a all day tour with Autumn and it was excellent!! We learned so much history about Shanghai from her. She never rushed us and she had a fun free spirt way about her which was very nice. I definitely would recommend and request her a as your tour guide in Shanghai you won’t be disappointed!! She spoke English very well.
Mary, our private tour guide was very friendly, experienced, informative and professional. The driver was also very calm and safe. The places I suggested to visit were very entertaining and interesting, especially cultural.
I just got back from an incredible Shanghai tour and wanted to share my experience with you! If you’re considering a visit to this vibrant city, I definitely recommend this tour—it was packed with all the best sights, and I had an amazing time with my tour guide Vicky
Fantastic experience. Saw everything we wanted to see! Ton was an excellent guide, very informative, gave great insights and recommendations and was great with the kids. Absolutely recommend!
Excellent tour, our tour guide Jamie was wonderful. Our driver also was great, the van we had was clean and nice! Jamie was very knowledgeable about all of Shanghai. She knew all the buildings and history of the places we went. She gave us recommendations on places to eat and helped take pictures for us. One of the best!!
Our tour guide "Tom" was wonderful. He picked us from our hotel in a nice SUV and took us around to various sights in Shanghai. Tom is extremely polite, interesting, cordial, knowledgeable, kind, caring, and entertaining. We go on Viator tours all the time, and Tom is definitely among the top 5 tour guides we have ever met. The tour was absolutely wonderful. We saw many sights. Shanghai is huge! You can see just a tiny portion in one day. During the tour, Tom pointed out various additional things we might enjoy doing on our own, later during our stay in Shanghai. A day or two AFTER the tour, I messaged Tom to ask the location of a certain shop we had visited during the tour. I knew generally where it was but could not find it again. Tom quickly messaged me with the exact location. THAT's how you know you found an amazing tour guide. He was eager and willing to help customers, even after the tour was long over. If we are ever in Shanghai again, I can guarantee that I will contact Tom's company and book another tour. It was one of the very best tours we have ever been on.
The tour with Tom was great. I was able to get a great overview of the landscape, history and development of the city, which still continues. I learned lots about how the traditional architecture is linked to ancient Chinese philosophies as well as the western influences on the unique architecture of Shanghai. The Jade Buddhist temple was a real highlight and Tom's deep knowledge of Buddhism made it even more interesting and meaningful. I highly recommend this tour.
I travelled to China on business with my daughter and wanted to mix in history and tours with the process of visiting companies. We didn't know what to expect in Shanghai, but Vicky was our guide and was excellent. She asked us what we wanted, managed to engage a shy child and she really had a deep grasp of the history of China and the sites visited. We had a brilliant day at the Buddist temple, the sculpture park, the peoples square, the park hotel, lunch in the chichi french quarter, the bund, the ?something? garden and then some local shopping... and then a short metro ride back to our hotel (we'd specifically asked if we could ride it!!) a superb and full day that also seemed so easy. Really great and I would thoroughly recommend.
It was the best choice, I could make. Tom is a very experienced and empathic travel guide. He shows me so many interesting and beautiful places and had a lot to say about. No boring Minute. I loved the tea time, the buddha temple with his huge history and meanings, the Chinese lunch was great. The „i-Point“ were the explanation about chinese culture, behaviour and Symbols. Thanks, Tom, for one unforgettable day in my life and thanks to the driver, je also made a great Job.
Tom is so knowledgeable and helpful. He has an amazing depth of knowledge of most things . He is polite and punctual and will definitely want to use Tom again when we return to Shanghai
We took several tours with Mark and Tom. We initially found them through a website for Shanghai tours; however, it is just as easy to book directly with them. We initially took an evening tour of old city, new city and a river cruise. This is a must!! The cruise along the river at night was spectacular and they arrange for a VIP section of the boat. Seeing the old city was also very interesting. We liked Mark very much, so we used him as well for a tour of French Concession and Yu Garden. I am probably spelling the garden wrong, but we got the correct guide. He was very informative and we learned much. We then went for tea and then to see the French Concession. Learning about the tea was very much fun and we bought several samples for our family. We ran a bit behind schedule and I needed to take a business flight, but Mark did a great quick tour of the French Concession to give us a concise synopsis - he would have stayed longer, but I wanted to get back to the hotel with extra time due to Shanghai traffic. As we really trusted the team so much, while I was away on business my wife went with the owner Tom to Suzhou. She had a phenomenal tour of the gardens, a nice lunch and did some shopping. I felt my wife was in excellent hands for the day I was gone!! In summary, 3 tours with them. ALL EXCELLENT and consistently informative and fun. The costs are very reasonable and I can’t imagine a better organization. We had a great time.
Tom was fantastic! Took my family of 4 (including 11 and 17 yr olds) on an 8 hour private tour of Shanghai. He met us in the lobby of our hotel and took us all over Shanghai, explaining about local sites and culture as we went. Very informative, top notch English, and very helpful all day long. No way we could have seen and done as much as we did were it not for Tom; we wouldn't have even known where to start! Example; he took us through a nondescript door, up one flight of stairs, and all of a sudden we're in a full-on tea house with terrific views from the balcony, where a nice English speaking lady conducts a tea demonstration/sampling for us! We saw You garden, Jade Buddha temple, and many, many other places. With an 11 yr old in tow, I was especially grateful that Tom went out of his way to minimize our walking in the sun, finding a/c for a little break, bringing around the car, etc. Highly recommended! Would use this service again!
Tom was great, he was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We did a private tour and he gave us tips and helpful information. Shanghai is difficult to navigate without the language or apps - especially with young kids. I definitely recommend this!
My dad and I spent a full day with Tom. We saw everything, learned a lot and had a blast. Excellent tour and customer service. Perfect English; knowledgeable about the city, history and culture and the country; on time; courteous; very accommodating; reasonable price. If you are visiting Shanghai, contact Tom. I highly recommend him. He will do whatever he can to make sure your visit is enjoyable and fun.
we had a very pleasant day and tourguide was very informative took us to all the sightseeing places in one day the bund was very nice all the towers are great we went on the bottle opener tower view was excellent . the french concession was a beauty
