I’d give more stars if I could! This experience was totally worth it, I was looking forward to learn more about Chinese tea since my knowledge about it was close to zero, and this workshop left me absolutely satisfied. Everything is well thought out, from the theory to the tastings, it was really interesting, the two hours and a half flew by. Max is an amazing teacher, always ready to explain to the most basic concepts ☺️ definitely recommend this experience to anyone who is coming to China and wants to take a break from the sightseeing and enjoy a dive into Chinese teas. (The teas were obviously amazing quality. We ended up buying some directly there, it was great to bring home something that we tasted as a reminder of the workshop :))

We had a great learning experience with Max and Mini - the teahouse was calm with nice interior. We learned a lot about the history of tea, how to prepare it and tea utensils - Max was very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and good at communicating. We had a wonderful time and I would definitely recommend the course to anymore who is interested in knowing more about tea.

Although I’ve visited tea plantations before, this experience with Max was truly unforgettable. He has created a wonderfully structured visit in a cozy tea house, tucked away from the busy tourist areas. Max gave a great t survey and overall experience about tea and the different variants of tea. He prepared snacks including seasonal fruits (pomelo) and different types of six teas, with explanations of the science and everything behind it. Well worth it

Max knows so much about tea and makes you learn everything you need to know about Chinese tea! I would recommend it to any tea lovers out there :)

Good for people who wish to understand the history of tea in China, the processes, and the many different developments of tea. It’s a two hour long tasting of different types of tea and snacks are provided. Really easy way to understand tea better.

It was a very deep experience full of knowledge and with a lot of information. It was very unique as it was a solo experience. Max has a lot of information to share and is really motivated about doing it.

The tea house is lovely! I had an enjoyable tea session and would recommend it to anyone who's interested to learn more about teas/ wants to try different types of Chinese teas. Max is knowledgeable and well-prepared. He's able to customise the selection of teas base on your preference, whether you're new to Chinese tea or a seasoned pu'er tea lover.

I loved the tea experience. The combination from tea tasting, history and workshop worked really well together. Max showed the most interseting facts about chinese tea and how all the different kinds get made. We were three people and he made it fit very well. Also we learned how to serve tea the right chinese way. It was one of the best things we did in Shanghai and I can recommend the tea experience to everyone. :)
