Yitel Premium Hotel Shanghai Oriental Pearl Yuanshen Road Metro Station

Arrived at the hotel at 8am after 12 hours in the plane. I was hoping i'm able to check in earlier, and yes ... Hotel managed to assign me a family room at level 7 floor which mean i will need to take the lift to level 6 +walking up to level 7. Bear in mind you also need to take lift from ground floor to level 4(reception and restaurants). So ... not really suitable for elder people but fun things for energetic children. I believe a massage chair will be included in every room in LEVEL 7. All of us LOVE it. The hotel is situated at right spot to shop around, good place to catch didi car and the famous xiaolongbao restaurant is just 1 to 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Family mart, mini market also around the corner. At midnight, you still seeing a lot of people having supper, walking around this area ... very safe! You also can walk to the bund from the hotel.

The hotel has a more traditional style compared to newer modern hotels, but it is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The space of room is limited. The staff were helpful and even assisted with carrying our luggage to the room, which was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was decent, although the selection was somewhat limited and average. One thing to note is that the highest floor can only be accessed via a short staircase after taking the lift, but it is still manageable with luggage. The biggest advantage is the location, it is located right in the heart of Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, making it extremely convenient for shopping, dining, and sightseeing.

Stay 4 nights . Awesome experience. Room size spacious and clean. Front desk was friendly. Special like to mention Alex Zhang Cun(张仔）he service and attitude was awesome. He rendered his help on my air line check in and seat reservation issue was so patient, and attentive. His working attitude very sunshine, makes your day great. Will stay this hotel when back Shanghai. Thank you Alex

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Pros: very good location, you are walking distance from the Bund and nanjin road. Free washing machines. The bed was comfortable and there was a massage chair in the room. Free coke and sprite in the fridge. Cons: WiFi is Super slow! We were on the 7th floor, which meant we had to take the lift to 6th floor and then carry the luggage up the stairs. The view was nothing great. The breakfast had some variety but it was limited and not tasty. It was also extremely busy, we had to sit with another couple because of the lack of tables. There is no auto close for the door and no safety deposit box. Overall an ok hotel in a good location. If you are on a budget, it’s good.
