I attended a 3 days workshop here and the event organizer arranged 3 nights of accommodation for me, including breakfast and lunch buffets. I have no idea about the price. The hotel located at the CBD of Shanghai. The Bund and the Nanjing promenade are just 5 minutes walking. The hotel room was okay. The room was cozy and tidy. The bed was clean. There was multiple types of slicker so you need not to prevent any converters. Yet only USB type A socket was available. I stayed a the 7th floor so the window view was just inner street view. The workshop was arranged in a meeting room at the 3rd floor. The room was spacious. The screens and projects were pretty good. There were snacks and drinks available outside the meeting room. There was also a pretty nice coffee machine inside the meeting room. Hotel staffs were helpful with fixing trivia logistics for the attendees on a timely manner. The food quality was okay. Buffet breakfast offer cuisines of different style, from Chinese, Western, Japanese, and even Indian curry. Yet I believe they should replace rice cooker with a new one. The lunch buffet were of similar style which offer cuisines of different styles. I liked the fried beef which was freshly cooked. Yet the juice options were quite limited and seemed to be made by concentrated juice which tasted quite artificial. The snack offered in between workshop breaks were also okay. There were always fruit options with some pastries. Some of the pastries were quite tasty. Overall the hotel was a decent option for business conference. I enjoyed my stays there.

We had an excellent stay at The Westin Bund Center Shanghai (上海威斯汀大饭店). The hotel is in a fantastic location, making it very convenient to explore the Bund and many of Shanghai’s main attractions. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel feels elegant and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of both Western and Asian options. What stood out most was the service. The staff were professional, friendly, and always willing to assist, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I also appreciated the recognition and hospitality. A very enjoyable stay in Shanghai, and definitely a hotel I would be happy to return to. Highly recommended!
Had a wonderful stay at The Westin Bund Center, Shanghai. The location is fantastic, within walking distance of The Bund, Nanjing Road, and many popular attractions, making it a great base for exploring the city. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with excellent housekeeping throughout our stay. What stood out most was the warm and attentive service from the staff, who were always friendly and helpful. Overall, a great hotel with an unbeatable location. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Shanghai!
The Westin Bund Center Shanghai is perfectly located in the heart of the Bund, offering a peaceful oasis amidst the bustling city. From what I observed, other Marriott properties like The Shanghai EDITION and Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden are also nearby. The front desk staff are highly standardized in their service; while they do their best to assist members, the interaction felt slightly rigid. However, the lounge manager and the entire executive lounge team were exceptionally warm and welcoming to elite members. I noticed a guest chatting with the lounge staff just like family. When I asked about her experience, she mentioned that she chooses to stay here every single time she visits Shanghai. Although the hotel hardware is somewhat dated, the incredible warmth of both the lounge and the concierge teams made me truly realize the unique charm of this property. During my stay, I received over 20 express parcels, which undoubtedly added a huge burden to the concierge team. Yet, they were incredibly enthusiastic and patient throughout, which deserves the highest praise. As a Titanium member, I was automatically upgraded to a junior suite. The bedding was outstanding, perfectly maintaining the signature Westin standard. One important note regarding breakfast: for Platinum members and above, they strictly enforce a 'choose-one-of-two' policy—either the 1st-floor buffet or the executive lounge. Adding the 1st-floor buffet costs about $33 USD per person. In my experience, it wasn't as good as the breakfast at the Renaissance Beijing, so I wouldn’t recommend paying out of pocket for it. The lounge breakfast has a smaller selection but comes with a hidden perk—you can custom order 'Xiaolongbao' (soup dumplings) à la carte, which is a major plus! Therefore, if you are staying for two nights, I highly recommend trying the main restaurant one morning and the executive lounge the next.
The Westin Bund is perfectly positioned, a few minutes walk to the beautiful Bund and the river. It's a short ferry ride to the other side, Shanghai business district where you can find the Pear Radio Tower and the Shanghai Tower. On the same river side as the Westin you can take an easy walk to the Yu Garden as well as the People's Square and park and the Xintiandi district. There are also public transport options. The airport is about 45 to 60 min in a taxi. Staff in the hotel is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, spacious and the bathroom modern and the water pressure of the shower great. Beds are super comfortable. You have stunning views over the city. There is also a gym a spa, an Italian restaurant and a Chinese restaurant in the hotel. The Crystal gardens restaurants, Chinese restaurant, has great food. You will find plenty of other restaurant and coffee shop options near the hotel. Great price point for this beautiful hotel. Recommend.
