Boutique hotel. Connected to Taku mall an office via a bridge link on level three/2M Excellent breakfast selection. No international plug - see one of the pictures. Complimentary bar amenities - coffee, soda water and soft drinks. My only grieve is the overpowering air fragrance at the reception area.
I stayed here solo three nights and here are my thoughts: Pros: Location is excellent. Rooms are large and comfy. Cons: Service was meh. lobby is tight with limited seating areas. For the price, you cant complain to much. Decent hotel.
Warm professional service, great facilities, central location, friendly staff, clean and well maintained room. Spacious room size, you can find almost everything you’d need in a standard room. Welcome amenity and thoughtful surprising turn down service. Will def come back the next time we visit Shanghai.
One of our favorite stays in Shanghai! The room and view were absolutely amazing. Angela & Joy were so thoughtful, even preparing photos of the hotel staff’s cats after our little “I can’t sleep without a cat” request! 🐱 They made our last day in Shanghai so special. We’d definitely love to come back!😻
Out of all the hotels I’ve stayed in China, Sukothai Shanghai was my favorite. The service at the front desk/restaurant was great and the room was spacious and very clean. The housekeepers did an excellent job every day and paid close attention to detail. From putting our shoes on placemats, to refilling our fresh Ayurveda herbal tea (on the house) to neatly organizing our bags. The room was not only spacious but also pretty high tech too! The bathroom, curtains, and lights use an automated system and each room comes with a Sonos speaker. Finally, while my husband and I didn’t use the pool/gym, we took a peek and they both seemed clean and modern! We enjoyed our experience and hope to come back!!!
