Excellent Value for Money with Five-Star Quality Rooms and Facilities An excellent hotel that offers outstanding value for money. While the price is slightly higher than that of a typical three-star hotel in Shanghai, the quality of the accommodation and facilities far exceeds expectations. The room was exceptionally clean, spacious, and beautifully furnished. The bathroom was modern, spotless, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a hairdryer. The room also featured a comfortable sofa, a dedicated workspace, and a separate walk-in closet with plenty of storage space and an ironing board. Overall, the room’s quality and attention to detail were comparable to what I would normally expect from a five-star hotel. One of the hotel’s biggest highlights is its excellent, well-equipped gym, which is particularly impressive for a hotel in this price range. There is also a pleasant restaurant that serves good food and doubles as the breakfast buffet area. While the breakfast selection was fairly average, the dining environment was clean and comfortable. Another nice feature is the communal working area on the ground floor, which provides a convenient space for guests to work or relax outside their rooms. Finally, the service was exceptional throughout my stay. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Check-in was quick and straightforward, and the reception desk was staffed 24/7. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel, especially to business travelers or anyone looking for spacious, high-quality accommodation, excellent fitness facilities, and a comfortable working environment without paying five-star hotel prices.

Room for twin sharing too small. Just a narrow gap in between the beds. The sink is located outside the toilet, very inconvenient. Only 1 Power point available at bedside. Watching tv not comfortable as not proper sofa provided. Breakfast menu is simple Noodles, boiled eggs, Bread, 2 types of fruits & yogurt. Quite boring.

I enjoyed my stay at The Shàng. The area is convenient for shopping, and there are a lot of good food places around. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable. Highly recommend :)

Got a room with a constant low frequency noise from ventilation. Changed to another one. New one with a broken air con. What the hack?
