We stayed here for a night as our flight was delayed. Airline provided this hotel. We looked at several one star reviews on google and got very very skeptical. But it’s a fairly decent airport hotel. It’s no ‘Four Seasons’ but not bad at all for an airport hotel. Some minor cleaning issues. Quick check in - concierge ‘Edison’ was very helpful. He spoke good English and helped us get a round trip taxi to downtown for sight seeing. Chef was very considerate and made custom Vegeterian food for our family.

This is the worst hotel experience I’ve had so far. We were exhausted from an overnight layover, yet the issues were impossible to ignore. The first room on the 7th floor was extremely far from the lift and had a strong, foul smell. The room looked untouched, as if it hadn’t been cleaned at all. When we requested a change, the staff blamed the smell on being near the sea — which is unacceptable. Proper maintenance should still be expected. We were moved to the 6th floor, closer to the lift, but the room still had a smell. We could also hear the TV from the next room. The worst part: the toilet door was broken and couldn’t close, and there were flies inside. At that point, we were too tired to deal with more. We just left it as it was. We’ll be checking out at 7am.
Avoid this place at all costs! This was by far the worst “hotel” experience I have ever had. There was vermin in the beds, the windows were screwed shut and couldn’t be opened, the carpet was filthy, and plaster was literally falling off the walls. The beds were damp and the whole room smelled horribly musty – like an old wet basement. To make matters worse, the toilets in the lobby were clogged with human waste. After complaining, we were given another room – but it was just as bad, with the same unacceptable conditions. We decided to leave immediately and did not stay the night. Absolutely unacceptable.
Nice room but, no option for food at arrival at 9pm. No help finding food either. Windows did not close well, leaving wind-noise all night in the bedroom.
Stayed at Qube Hotel Shanghai Sanjiagang from 1/11/24 to 2/11/24, and overall, I’d rate the experience 1/5. Our stay started on a bad note as we checked in at midnight only to be given a used, uncleaned room, which left a poor first impression. Fortunately, they had a spare room available for us. The breakfast experience wasn’t much better, as the host seemed stressed and unfriendly, which added to the discomfort of our stay. Disappointing overall, as we expected better service.
