The hotel is clean and comfortable. Close to most of the attractions we wanted to see. Breakfast was amazing with lots of varieties.

Acceptable hotel near Shanghai's financial district. Price-performance ratio is okay for the location and the room outlook. However, the hotel is getting old, so carpets and furniture are now very dirty and worn. Cleaning service does not always adhere to the "do not disturb" note on the door. For a short and budget friendly trip okay, otherwise no 4-star standard.
Unfortunately, a shopping bag containing a black bodysuit disappeared from our room during our stay. Because my friend and I had done a lot of shopping in Shanghai, we had several shopping bags in the room. One of those bags went missing. Thankfully, it only contained a bodysuit worth about $50 and not something much more valuable, such as jewelry. I believe this was likely a human error rather than intentional theft, as the item was small and lightweight and may have been accidentally discarded during housekeeping. What upset me most was the response from the hotel staff. When I reported the issue, one of the male receptionists was smiling while I was explaining the situation, which felt dismissive and inappropriate. In contrast, the female receptionists were consistently kind, professional, and helpful, and they treated us with respect as guests. As someone who works in the hospitality industry at a Michelin-starred restaurant, I expected a higher level of service and accountability. I provided receipts for the missing item, and the hotel was able to verify that I had returned to the room with the shopping bag. Despite this, my claim was rejected, and it was suggested that I had either lost the item myself or simply failed to find it in the room. The bodysuit was worth only $50, so this was never about the money. After paying a significant amount for a 14-night stay, I expected a more professional and guest-focused response from a high-end hotel. I have never felt this unsafe or unsupported in a hotel before.
Customer service is the most appalling i’ve ever experienced. Haven’t responded to any emails i’ve sent, hung up on me and were incredibly rude when trying to change the dates for a room. Disgusting service
Loved this hotel so much! Everything, from the service to the room quality to the location was incredible! The hotel is 50 meters max from the subway station, which can take you to the bund + Nanjing Road + Yu Garden within 10 minutes. The room layout was also super functional -- although it was small, which is understandable since its Shanghai, which has some of the highest real estate prices in the world, it was able to fit a bathtub, a shower stall, and even had blinds and a TV in the bathroom! Only criticism is that the gym closes a bit early -- I wanted to get a workout in at 7 pm, and couldn't go inside (hence the 4 in stead of 5 star review).
