Like others, I was put up here as a stop overnight by China Eastern Airlines. My biggest issue was that when I arrived at about 9pm, I was told by the rather grumpy and officious receptionist that the restaurants were all closed and there was no room service. I would have to go outside if I wanted food. So much for an international hotel! I had no yen, could not get the wi-fi to work, and when I went to a shop down the road, none of my cards were accepted. My recommendation, if you are doing this same trip, is take some Chinese currency with you. Because otherwise, the room was great. The place feels like a once-luxury hotel fallen on hard times, but the room was spacious, quiet and comfortable, and I had a great shower. The breakfast was a superb buffet with a bewildering amount of choice (East and West), and delicious foods. Loved the smoked plum juice! One other tip - take a jumper. The temp seemed to be stuck at around 21 despite me trying to up it.
Perfect location for stop over. Hundreds of budget(AUD $5) restaurants around.

I didn’t want to give this hotel just a three, but more of a high-three, maybe 3.7 or 3.8, as it’s really not a bad place to stay. It does seem a little run-down and slightly old, but the rooms were clean and tidy, the staff were nice and very helpful with advice. There was also a complimentary buffet breakfast with many options. Location wise it’s about 25 minutes car ride to Pudong Airport. To Nanjing Pedestrian walkway was a bit further with public transport, around 1 hour and 30 minutes, but to be honest the public transport system is streamlined enough that it didn’t feel like that much of a bother. Price was reasonable.
Stayed there Dec 25 and Jan 25, worst hotel ever, mismanaged, manager sucks, he needs to read customer service for dummies book or something and please if you want to call yourself an "international hotel" put someone there who can communicate in English. Breakfast food was cold, tasteless. Their shuttle bus will make you wait at airport for couple hours before they show up. I had to take my own taxi even though I already paid for their shuttle service. If management really want to run it professionally get rid of your current manager. Didn't have any choice otherwise I wouldn't have even give this hotel 0 star.
