Location of the hotel is very good, but the others are all not up to the mark. As a foreigner the morning breakfast was very bad. But employees were helpful at reception.

You can’t beat the location! The hotel is perfectly situated right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, just a 5-minute walk from the People’s Square metro station. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel, and convenience stores like Lawson and FamilyMart are located right across from the hotel on the back road. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only negative thing I can say about this hotel is that it feels outdated and could use some renovation. Apart from that, we really enjoyed our stay.
Stumbled upon this recommendation from tiktok. Stayed here for 3 nights and it did not disappoint. The place is very accessible to all, literally. Located near people square MRT station, which is in the middle of east and west nanjing road. Walkable to the bund, few station away from Lujiazu, Jing an temple & Yuyuan garden. Got direct train from Railway station and to the Pudong International airport. Room is clean and spacious. Everyday housekeeping is done. Water is provided as well. Can easily open 2 big luggage and 2 small luggage. Got shower and toilet seperate, just no bidet. Highly recommended for those finding value for money.
PROS: - 10 mins walk away from the train station - location is peak, it's literally in the heart of the famous nanjing road, when u go out ur already met with beautiful view, convenience stores, authentic eateries and malls - they cleanup well and refill our water everyday - staff are friendly and morning staff reception can communicate well in english - laundry is cheap and convenient - aircon is working well - bed is comfy - we availed the airport shuttle service for 210 yuan and it was extremely convenient considering we are 3 people and 4 big suitcases CONS: - night reception staff are not english speaking although they try their best - laundry only has 2 machines each - can't get the vendo to work - there is a distinct smell of cigarette but this is like in China overall I guess - can get noisy esp in the lower floors - no curtain dividing the shower and toilet so water spills easily and we had to have the rug changed every cleaning - the taobao delivery area is messy since there's a lot of package and it's just left there, some even dated weeks ago --- Overall this doesn't feel like a 2 star hotel, but more. If you are not a light sleeper then this hotel is right for you as the location to everywhere is the best.
We recently stayed at Jinjiang Inn and, unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is its location — it’s convenient and close to everything we needed. On our first day, we kept wondering why the AC wasn’t working. I initially thought it was broken, so I went down to the reception to ask. That’s when they told me the AC for all rooms was intentionally turned off. I explained that our room was extremely hot and uncomfortable, but they couldn’t give any proper explanation. Even if it’s winter outside, the room felt suffocating, and we couldn’t even open the balcony door for ventilation. All they did was hand us a small fan, which barely helped. I honestly wonder how other guests are coping with the room temperatures if they’re experiencing the same issue. Cleanliness was another problem. I’d rate the room a 2 out of 5 — the bathroom smelled bad and clearly wasn’t cleaned properly. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless you’re only after a good location and don’t mind compromising comfort.
