I stayed here with my family during our trip to shanghai at the end of march and this was a phenomenal hotel! When we arrived we had just completed over 20 hours of flight time and layovers and were exhausted, but the whole staff was so friendly and accommodating! The location was great to be able to get to Disney. I saw other reviews say that businesses around were not conveniently located, but we never had an issue with that. We would just call a DiDi that would arrive within 5 minutes and the drive to main locations was not long at all. The hotel is absolutely worth it. We stayed in a family suite and it was perfect for our family of 5. If and when we go back to Shanghai we will absolutely be staying here again! I also have photos and videos of our room, but it’s on my phone. If I can I will update to add those as well.

_ovely architecture and landscaping, honoring the old China. Nice and quiet. Lovely time walking around the buildings and the lake Chinese restaurant on site is aood to with a very diverse but expensive menu. Courtesy shuttle to and from the airport is very handy and comfortable option if you flying PvG airport. Close to metro line 2 as well. Specia mention to chef Abdullah to go out of his way to accommodate our dietary needs. Front desk staff can show some more enthusiasm. The breakfast can be improved with more options
We booked two rooms but one them has a cigarette smell and the phone kept ringing even though there was no one on the other line, overall the room were pretty good. The reception told us that you could just go to high tea but you actually needed to book it ,but the waitress was really nice and let us eat there without a booking although it took a few minutes of waiting. The buffet was fine but not that good and the swimming pool is too tall for children but that was fine too the kids love the game room and we didn't have the chance to go anywhere else but overall it was good.
This is a beautiful hotel. The buildings, the interior, and gardens are very well kept. I spent over an hour just walking around the hotel garden paths - stunning. The breakfast was below average for this star range, but had good mix of choices. The spa facilities was an interesting walk through what felt like an underground parking lot (not great) and the spa reception smelled heavily of cigarettes. I didn't book a treatment because of this. In fact, that's what has kept me from making this 5 stars: my room smelled like a mix of stale and fresh cigarette smoke. For a smoker, this may feel like home, but for a non-smoker like me, it's very off-putting. Has hourly shuttles to Disney and PVG airport. I wouldn't say this hotel is geared towards western foreigners, but I think for the average traveler, this would still be a good choice if you want to experience something different. I would definitely chose this hotel again over a generic Hilton/Marriott brand - even with the ciggy smell.
the hotel is beautiful chinese style 2 level maximum, near river but car and delivery are allow inside the residence. it s not quiet and calm for the children. no place outside to play. good swimming pool but go with room towel if you don t want pay. fitness center good kids club soso just a small room underground. breakfast poor, the people remove your plate so fast you haven t time to finish your coffee In the breakfast room, no heat everybody wear parka. they want you leave quickly. the bed mastress are hard as usual not good for me. even with windows closed i can see curtain move the isolation is very poor the smile no exist specially front desk in the lobby. 5 star hotel
