Great location if you are working in or around the Caohejing Developing Zone which houses lots of offices for tech and manufacturing companies. Very convenient if you need to visit that area. Not so convenient if you need to head to Pudong or downtown regularly as it's quite a schlepp.
Good for work, mediocre for tourism.
One block /10 minutes Walk away from a big mall with lots of restaurants and shops, and a subway station right next to it.

Very Broad range of food in the buffet breakfast. Staff sometimes a bit too fast clearing the tables...but all in all very good value for money.
Staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast was good with wide range of varieties. Rooms were comfortable and clean . This hotel is located more to office towers , tech parks for meetings with corporate offices. Here for business meetings and not vacation .
I stayed at Renaissance Shanghai Caohejing Hotel in October 2024 and experienced a serious privacy breach. Hotel staff disclosed my personal and room-sharing information to a third party over the phone without consent or identity verification.
Despite acknowledging the call, the hotel denied responsibility, citing the lack of a phone recording. I reported the issue to Marriott HQ, which promised a reply within 5–7 business days — but I never heard back.
This careless attitude toward guest privacy and accountability is extremely disappointing. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone who values trust and professionalism.
Part of Marriott hotel, located near MNC offices. 8mins away a mall for shopping and dining. Hotel room is huge and spacious, good shower gel used. In-house parcel was delivered to the room by the robot, good experience. Staff was helpful and courteous. Good spread of breakfast at ground level cafe. Will be back again soon.
I really enjoyed the stay at this location. It is close to a mall, and there is a subway station nearby. Plenty of food options all around.
The staff was very friendly and you can always see someone in the lobby to help. I really liked their breakfast buffet as well. It has both western and eastern cuisine options. I tried 2 room services dinners, and they were very good as well. They have a fitness center and a pool on-site and they were clean and well-maintained. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.
