My experience here was mostly positive: - Friendly service - Rooms are clean and stocked with free water - Good breakfast buffet (costs extra) - Close to metro station However, I'm taking a whole star off for the annoyance caused by the rooms' doors chirping/beeping two seconds after opening them, presumably to prevent you from leaving them open by mistake. It's totally unnecessary and triggers 80% of the time just from normal use. God forbid you're actually trying to be quiet. Also, the toilets auto-flush, so they need to be unplugged if you don't want to wake your partner in the middle of the night.

The location is pretty good, about a 5-minute walk from the subway station. Since I was going to Hangzhou the next day, it wasn't too far to walk to Shanghai South Railway Station either. The Sun Moon Light Center is nearby, but unfortunately I didn't have a chance to shop there. The area isn't very lively, which is a bit of a shame, but you could also say it's very peaceful. The lobby isn't very luxurious, probably three to four stars, and the restaurant is small, but the service is very attentive. Besides having a delivery robot that can bring food to your room, there's also free laundry service, which is fantastic. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the price is reasonable, making it excellent value for money. Having hot noodles for breakfast was very comforting.
