(0/5 if possible) Our family of four from New Zealand stayed at this hotel for one night while transiting on our way home. We arrived late at night and were informed that a shuttle bus would be waiting in the front lobby at 10:45am to take us to the airport before 11am for our 2pm flight. The room we were given was appalling. It was damp, dirty, and appeared unfinished, with cold concrete floors and plaster throughout. The bathroom sealant was poorly done and had visible black mould. When the toilet was flushed, the water rose and overflowed out of the bowl. There was also no privacy — from the beds you could see directly into the bathroom, which was extremely uncomfortable for a family of four. We were only provided two towels for four people, and the air conditioning did not work, leaving the room cold all night. As it was very late and we were exhausted from travelling, we reluctantly stayed the night. The photos online are very misleading — do not be fooled. The worst part of our stay happened the next morning. We arrived in the lobby at 10:20am, well before the scheduled pickup time, to ensure we would not miss the shuttle. Despite waiting exactly where we were told to, the bus left without us. The driver did not check the lobby, call out for guests, or do a headcount — we were not even aware the bus had arrived. At 11am, when we realised something was wrong, my father approached reception and was told the bus had already left. Shockingly, the two staff members at the counter tried to blame us, despite the clear instructions we had followed and a noticeable language barrier. This was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. We were then told another driver would come back to get us. By this point it was already 11:30am, and anyone travelling knows airport check-in and security lines can take a long time. When I went back to the counter to ask for an estimated pickup time, one staff member appeared annoyed and spoke rudely, prompting the other staff member to tell her off — they argued in front of us, which was uncomfortable and inappropriate. After another 10 minutes, a driver arrived in a very small car. Our three suitcases and multiple carry-on bags barely fit, and we were driven at speed to the airport, arriving at approximately 12:20pm. To make matters worse, there was no Uber or taxi service available in the area, so we had no backup option if the hotel failed us. Overall, this hotel was chaotic, unhygienic, and unprofessional. The staff were rude, dismissive, and lacked accountability. I rarely write reviews, but the condition of the room and the handling of the airport transfer were deeply concerning. There was a complete lack of care, responsibility, and respect for guests. Do not rely on the staff, and do not trust the reviews. I would not recommend this hotel under any circumstances.

Fantastic room with animal cushions, which were great for the little one. Although this is an airport hotel, note that due to the size of Pudong international, you can't walk. However, taxis are relatively inexpensive and the hotel reception will happily arrange one for you as needed. We used for a layover and were very happy. The shower was fantastic and just what you need after a long haul flight.
I recently stayed at Lin Yin Art Hotel Shanghai and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel is conveniently located near Pudong Airport, making it an excellent choice for travelers with early flights or layovers. The complimentary airport shuttle was punctual and efficient, adding to the convenience. The rooms are spacious, modern, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and thoughtful amenities. I particularly appreciated the artistic decor that added a unique charm to the ambiance. The staff were friendly and accommodating, although communication in English was occasionally challenging.
Had a 20 hour layover in Shanghai, was given this hotel by a travel agent. I was able to call the hotel from the airport information desk, and a shuttle bus was there to pick me up in about 20 minutes. Though the staffs' English was not great they did everything they could to help me, Sheng even upgraded my room for free, she was very sweet :) I slept at the hotel for four hours, had a shower, and left with the 2 pm shuttle. This is my second time in this city and the first time in the more suburban parts so I was a little uncomfortable about leaving, but the hotel itself is marvelously modern, someone with a better understanding of the Chinese language would get around much better than i did
Such a beautiful hotel and location. Our room was big and had this nice smell of wood that my partner and I loved so much. It was next to a river and offered this beautiful view both day and night. The hall is huge and very cozy, and everyone at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. They have a free transportation service to the Pudong International Airport starting from 4 in the morning. Would 100% stay at this hotel again.
