Arrived very late following flight delays, and check-in was quick and efficient even at that hour. The Club Premier King Room was spacious, calm, and well laid out. Exactly what was needed after a long day of travel.
The Club lounge stood out as the highlight of the stay: easy, well-stocked breakfasts and a relaxed evening spread of drinks and canapés, both consistently good throughout.
This is a hotel that delivered reliably and efficiently at every touchpoint. Would stay again without hesitation.
Very disappointing experience, especially for a hotel of this category and price level. The rooms feel old and outdated and are clearly in need of renovation. English communication with the staff was surprisingly difficult throughout my stay.
I had Club access, but I did not use the breakfast even once because, apart from fruit, there was practically no suitable Western breakfast selection. The internet connection was also poor and unreliable, which is particularly problematic for business travellers.
The worst experience was on the morning of check-out, when a member of the housekeeping staff entered my room in a very intrusive and aggressive manner about 30 minutes before I was due to leave. This was completely unnecessary and made me feel rushed out of the hotel.
The location is also quite inconvenient if you need to get around Shanghai, as it is far from most places of interest. Overall, the hotel fell well below my expectations and I would not choose to stay here again.
We’ve had a great stay at this hotel over four nights. We upgraded to include club lounge access and kids Adventure Zone which was fantastic value for money. The buffet breakfast was vast and catered to every need. The deluxe king room was spacious for our needs. The 25 m pool and large hot spa were definite highlights for us. The gym was massive but not used by us due to holiday mode haha. We were well serviced by Evelyn at reception for late checkout.
I had a wonderful stay at Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai, and once again Shangri-La demonstrated why it remains one of my favourite hospitality brands.
As a Shangri-La Circle Jade Member and a frequent international traveller spending more than 130 nights in hotels each year, I have had the opportunity to experience many luxury hotel brands around the world. What continues to distinguish Shangri-La is not only the quality of its facilities, but more importantly, the genuine warmth and professionalism of its people.
From arrival to departure, every interaction with the team was welcoming, efficient and sincere. The room was spacious, impeccably maintained and extremely comfortable, providing a relaxing environment after a busy day. Housekeeping paid great attention to detail, and every part of the hotel reflected the high standards expected of the Shangri-La brand.
The hotel’s location is another significant advantage. Being directly connected to Kerry Parkside and conveniently close to Century Park makes it an excellent choice for both business and family travellers.
What impressed me most, however, was the consistency of the service. True luxury is not defined only by beautiful facilities, but by how guests are made to feel throughout their stay. The team at Kerry Hotel Pudong delivered exactly that with genuine care and hospitality.

Exceptional. We stayed for two nights in early June. The service was fantastic - check-in was a breeze and the staff handled our luggage both upon arrival and departure. The location is perfect. The hotel is across the street from Century Park and within a 10 minute ride of most of Pudong'major attractions. We had three rooms for our group. All three were clean, modern, and the views of Shanghai were incredible. Breakfast was also relatively inexpensive and enormous, perfect for our big group with various dietary preferences. Loved this hotel. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to Shanghai.
