Communication with the hotel prior to check in was not great but the experience in person during check in was good. We arrived before 6am, room wasn't ready but staff offered a room for a half day room charge which didn't make any sense to us. 🤔
We dropped our bags and went for a walk. Called the hotel (they said they can't call us) after 9am as agreed and the room was ready 👍🏽😃
Room was big, clean and comfortable 👍🏽👍🏽
Shower was strong with standard size shampoo and body wash gel.
It's located in a quieter side of the FFC but Didi was easy and short drives to nearby landmarks. 👍🏽

Jinjiang Hotel is truly a gem in downtown Shanghai. The location is unbeatable, right in the city center yet tucked inside a quiet, beautiful area surrounded by historic buildings. The environment feels peaceful and elegant.
The room was spotless and thoughtfully decorated, creating a very comfortable stay. Staff were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout my visit. Overall, a wonderful blend of history, convenience, and warm hospitality. Highly recommend!

It isn’t a “Stared Hotel” at all.
No one appeals good English, room service is horrible.
They do not pick up the phone right away.
The room is old style and doesn’t have a good view.
The refrigerator is horrible and doesn’t cool anything.
The hotel has a nice location next to People’s Square and South Shaanxi Rd Metro station. There are a lot of malls, cafes and small cute shops around. The building is historical with lobby, corridors and common areas a bit outdated with and old grandma house smell. We have chosen Cathay Garden. The staff of the hotel is not speaking English properly and not very helpful as you would expect normally in 5* property. The housekeeping has done a great job every day, the room was cleaned and all amenities were in place. The room itself is also a bit outdated with old carpet smell. The beds were comfy and clean. The bathroom is amazing having shower and 🛁 in place. Very clean and unique in old antique style. Overall, the stay wasn’t bad, but I would not consider to stay there again.
