Really depends on what you are looking for. Disney is close and so is a nice high end mall. Place is a little old and run down but not bad. First room they tried to gove us was tiny we asked for a different room and it was fine. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Was cool to walk around thw area and see the non city side of Shanghai. Alleys with local restaurants and shops and prices.

I was a little worried after reading the reviews below, but the experience turned out to be incredibly friendly and satisfying. From the check-in counter in the hotel lobby to the person who appeared to be the manager, everyone explained everything in English. They explained the facilities to me even while we were being taken by cart to my room. I had seen reviews mentioning only one use of the hot springs, but when I asked at check-in, they told me that the number of times I could use them during my stay didn't matter. The hot springs were excellent, and the room was clean. Also, I was having trouble with my payment at the hotel entrance, arguing with the delivery person, when an English-speaking manager came over and resolved the issue by communicating with a local in Chinese. They even helped me call a taxi the next day. As a Korean visiting China for the first time, and traveling with my grandmother, this was a truly wonderful start to our trip. When we were leaving, one person even wrote "Grandmother" in Korean while shaking my hand. I am truly grateful for the kind hospitality. And I would like to thank the manager who helped me once again.
I truly regret to say that my stay here has been one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve ever had in what’s supposed to be a five-star hotel. From the moment I arrived, communication was extremely difficult as none of the staff at the lobby spoke English, so I had to rely entirely on translation apps just to check in. It took an unreasonable amount of time, and the attitude of the staff made the whole process even more unpleasant. When I was finally taken to my room, the driver who escorted me seemed completely uninterested and unwilling to assist in any way. There was no sense of hospitality or professionalism. It felt like every step of the arrival process was a struggle. I’m currently staying in room 4102, and this happened on Thursday, October 23. It’s truly disappointing to have such a poor start to what should have been a relaxing experience at a so-called five-star resort. I hope management takes this seriously and improves the service and communication for future guests, because right now, it’s far from meeting international standards.
Lovely hotel. It’s beautiful and so close to Disneyland and just opposite Shanghai village (premium outlet). They provide free shuttle bus to Disneyland. The hotel has onsen too. Great to visit the onsen after Disneyland.
