Perfect choice for an overnight layover Pros: We stayed here for one night during a long layover, booking two rooms for our family of four. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and felt brand new or recently renovated. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were surprisingly large. The location is excellent and highly practical. It was very easy to find after arriving on our international flight, and just as simple to get to the departure hall the next day. The breakfast selection was extensive and provided a great start to the morning. Cons: The check-in staff spoke very limited English, which made communication a bit difficult. Additionally, the breakfast area was quite crowded and a bit chaotic when it came to finding a table to sit down. We didn't have time to test their restaurant during our short stay. Verdict: Overall, a great experience and a highly efficient, comfortable choice for an overnight transit stay.

A wonderful airport hotel experience that pleasantly surprised us. The hotel is connected to the airport via a dedicated tunnel with clear signage. A bit of a walk, but very easy to navigate. The staff, even at midnight, were incredibly welcoming and kind, and even generously offered us a complimentary late checkout. A really nice touch for weary travelers! The facilities are modern and a refreshing respite after a long day of travel. Special thank you to Jett, who kindly helped us with our heavy luggage through some crazy long hallways despite the late hour. Overall, a perfect airport stay with excellent service and comfortable accommodations. Room service ends at 2 am and there’s a foot massage place downstairs. Highly recommended staying here!
Stayed here for one night during our Shanghai Pudong Airport transit and it was a really good choice. The hotel was clean, comfortable, convenient and reasonably priced. Funny moment walking to the hotel — a lady was speaking Chinese to us the whole way, we couldn’t understand her and she couldn’t understand us, but somehow it was still friendly and made us laugh. The hotel itself was easy for a short stopover and perfect if you just need somewhere clean and close to the airport before the next flight. Highly recommend for transit travellers.
I stayed here for one night before an early flight. The free airport shuttle service is incredibly convenient and makes this hotel perfect for long layovers. The room was quiet, perfectly equipped, and spotless the bedsheets were flawlessly ironed and even the showerhead was gleaming. The front desk staff were wonderful and super helpful when I kept asking for extra water. Breakfast is included, though it's heavily geared toward Chinese cuisine. If you want a sweet, Western-style breakfast, the options are limited to fruit and yogurt. Overall, a stress-free, clean, and highly recommended stay for transit travelers!
I stayed at the Holiday Inn Shanghai Pudong Airport after a late‑night international arrival, and its location is easily the hotel’s strongest asset. Being right on airport grounds makes the entire transit process effortless — it’s a short, clearly marked walk from the terminals, which is exactly what you want when you’re tired and just need a place to rest. The convenience factor is hard to beat, especially compared with hotels that require shuttles or long transfers. Another advantage is the direct airport train line that connects Pudong Airport to Hongqiao Airport and Hongqiao Railway Station. This makes onward travel extremely straightforward the next morning. The only caveat is that the walk from the hotel to the train platform inside Terminal 2 is fairly long, so you’ll want to allow a bit of extra time if you’re catching a specific departure. Still, having a one‑seat ride to Hongqiao is a major plus for travelers connecting to domestic flights or high‑speed rail. In terms of value, the hotel is very reasonably priced for an on‑airport property. The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable, and the overall experience feels polished without being overpriced. For a simple overnight stay, it strikes a good balance between affordability and reliability. The one limitation is the room size. The layout is efficient, but the space is tight, and you feel it when opening luggage or moving around. For a short transit stay it’s perfectly adequate, but travelers expecting more room to spread out may find it a bit constrained. Overall, this hotel is a practical and dependable choice for anyone arriving late or departing early from Pudong. The unbeatable proximity to the terminals, easy access to the Hongqiao connection, and solid value outweigh the compact room size, making it an ideal stopover option for international travelers.
