Clean and friendly! Very convenient for long layovers. Candy, one of the receptionists was very nice and accommodating. Food was great, both for breakfast and lunch. Overall, great place for a short stay!

There are big shopping malls nearby. Easy access to central points. There is a halal restaurant right on the back street. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the staff is caring. The pool is small. I stayed 2 times. Maybe next time I can try another hotel

This wonderful hotel is located at a very prime location. The check in process was smooth. The rooms were huge and well maintained. The complimentary breakfast was elaborate. The fitness centre was a big one and was well equipped. They have a few inhouse restaurants. The pool was clean. There is also a spa here. Had an amazing stay, would surely visit again.

Holiday Inn Shanghai – A Wonderful Stay! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Shanghai from May 4th to May 10th, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. Although my trip officially started on May 9th, I checked in earlier and everything went smoothly. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are extremely supportive and helpful, especially towards foreign visitors. One of the highlights was the breakfast – it was delicious and had a good variety of options. Initially, I was concerned about the check-in time, which is 2:00 PM, since I arrived at the hotel at 8:30 AM. After speaking with the staff, they informed me that early check-in might be possible around 12:30 PM. I made a few polite requests, and to my surprise and appreciation, they kindly allowed me to check in at 11:00 AM. That flexibility made a big difference after a long journey. Thank you, Holiday Inn, for making my stay so comfortable. I truly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers visiting Shanghai.

The worst IHG hotel I’ve ever met. Avoid this hotel, if not, you will regret. Staff is not professional. The check in staff took away my identity document without notifying me and my permission. Though the hotel has a smoke-free policy, from the moment I entered the room, I was overwhelmed by a strong smoke odor that permeated the entire space, like entering a KTV room. The lingering scent of cigarette smoke is disgusting. The odor of cigarette still exists even I changed the room. I guess it is come from the ventilation. These unpleasant odors made it extremely difficult to feel comfortable in the room. Beyond the odor issues, the overall condition of the room was highly unsatisfactory. Room is old and deteriorated. The dated, worn furnishings and fixtures gave the impression of a neglected, low-budget hotel rather than IHG hotel brand's standards. Overall, it is not worth the price. The management really have to work hard to improve the conditions.
