Stayed here 2 nights. Room is nice. Location is pretty bad. 2.5km to nearest subway station and this is west of the old Shanghai airport. Problems, no hot water for shower. No matter which way I turned the shower there was no hot water. Not even luke warm water. AC isn't cool enough. Hovers around 25degC. Set it to 22degC and it never goes there. Lifts are very slow and only 4 lifts. No China TV3 channel. My favorite china TV channel and they don't have it. They have every other CCTV station except 3.
A very tired poorly maintained 4 star hotel. No fridge or minibar, no usb port for charging phones etc worn frayed towels and generally not 4 star standard hotel. Maybe a 3 star (just).
The hotel seems a bit run down and old, got a room in level 8, there is also a funny smell. The charging ports are outdated, the toilet has a funny smell.
Even the air con is not working properly, I was drenched in sweat the whole night
It's atleast an hour away from the city and other tourist spots, this location is closer to the hongqiao airport and station. Otherwise highly disappointed in this hotel.Something for the management to look out for.
There were few staff who were helpful in speaking English which helped the stay.
Nice lobby, clean rooms, but bathroom door wouldn't stay closed, breakfast ran out by 8.30, food are generally cold (except for the freshly cooked stuff). Location is out of the way, not much close by. Kettle in the room but no tea nor coffee. Body lotion was already almost empty and even on the 3rd day still not refilled. Shower pressure is good though, amongst the other 3 hotels we stayed at. Concierge and counter staff were helpful. I couldn't pay the didi driver cos my linked card didn't work. He helped me to pay and I paid him cash. It's a super high traffic hotel with tour buses daily.
What a great hotel! Very luxurious and clean. They were updating the front gardens when we were there but it still looked neat and tidy. The complimentary bottled water in the room everyday and walking distance to shops and other utilities. A couple of really good massage and hair salons nearby. If you feel like some fresh fruit there is a great fruit shop nearby. Use WeChat to look up. The buffet breakfast was spot on every morning and we were pleased to have western coffee from the machines available in the buffet. Staff were very friendly and helpful, there were a couple of people that could speak a little better English than a lot of other places we stayed but with a good translation app you can’t go wrong. Highly recommend a stay here and not far from the Airport but lots of traffic at the time we left so give yourself enough time to get to the airport.
