A family trip with two boys who wanted to stay in five star hotels but our China Agent found a very cheap hotel with great pics. So I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at Hotel Guangdong — it truly deserves much better reviews than it has online! The lobby is big, bright, and welcoming, with a lovely koi pond that immediately sets a peaceful tone. The elevators are efficient, and my room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the soft, fluffy towels and the thoughtful touches — like free fresh fruits in the room and six bottles of water provided daily. There’s even a small convenience store inside the hotel, which was very handy. The neighborhood felt completely safe, and the free shuttle service to the Canton Fair was extremely convenient for business travelers. Breakfast was superb too.. with continental and Chinese… dimsum, chicken soup, etc Not to mention the cute robot floor cleaner is always making sure the hotel is CLEAN. Overall, my experience at Hotel Guangdong was excellent — clean, comfortable, and full of small thoughtful details that make a big difference. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Guangzhou.

Rooms and their service were good, but the hotel seems to be little out from the main area at around 30 km from the iconic places
