Express By Holiday Inn Putuo Shanghai

Despite being booked as a non-smoking room, the smell of cigarette smoke is constant — it’s present in the corridors as well as in our room. Changing rooms hasn’t helped, since the strong smell spreads through the ventilation system, and smoking is clearly happening in multiple rooms, not just one. The hotel staff seem unable or unwilling to address this issue.

The location is okay since the metro station is nearby, but I cannot recommend this hotel. There is a strong, foul smell—almost like rotting—in the corridors. It was very unpleasant and made the stay uncomfortable. For the price, I believe you can find much better options in Shanghai. Better to look elsewhere.

We stayed here for three nights during April. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and fairly spacious. Breakfast was included and offered a wide range of Chinese food, although less Western food. The hotel is about 300m from Zhenping metro station. There did not appear to be "high quality" restaurants in the area, although a lot of lower cost Chinese restaurants near the mrt station. Metro line 7 passes through Zhenping station, which conveniently takes you to the high speed train station for the airport. I highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent location near the main spots on the city and super close to the Shanghai circuit y If you go for f1! The service it’s super nice and the staff are super kind. Big thanks to Tom he is super cool and try to help as much as possible. The metro station is quite close to the hotel , they also provided with shuttle bus in the morning which I think is an excellent service.
