Very recommendable hotel, very close to main sightseeing spots and warm service from the hotel staff. Breakfast is very tasty with a spot for continental breakfast together with plenty of local food options. Overall 5/5 stars!
This hotel is great for family visit due to large triple room. Location is not that bad. Abit further from crowded location but walking distance or 10 mins by car to north The bund. Ome more thing, front desk people are real nice & helpful.
Certainly. This keeps the strongest points and cuts the hotel saga down to something a review website can digest without requiring its own intermission. Very disappointing experience despite the excellent location. I booked a specific 180° view room and arrived at 10 a.m., fully understanding that check-in was at 3 p.m. When I returned at 6 p.m., I was repeatedly encouraged to pay RMB 200 per night to upgrade to a suite. When I asked instead to see the room I had actually booked, I was first told it had only a small window, then that it was “not ready” and would take a long time to prepare, despite it already being three hours after check-in time. After 30–45 minutes of frustrating discussion, I asked for a manager and it was finally admitted that my booked room was unavailable. Only then was I given the suite as a complimentary upgrade. This left me feeling very uncomfortable about why I had repeatedly been encouraged to pay for an upgrade when my original room was apparently not available in the first place. Communication was also difficult. Of around 8–9 staff I dealt with, only one could communicate in basic English without an electronic translator. The suite surprisingly had no safe, there was no currency exchange service, there were several minor maintenance/finishing issues, and even the room scales were unusable because they had only two of the four required batteries. The positives are the excellent location near the Bund and surprisingly efficient lifts. Unfortunately, the poor communication and particularly the handling of my original booking overshadowed these positives. I would not stay here again.
Clean and Nice environment , front dask service are friendly and helpful as specialy front dask 小金 we came in early in the morning like 5 to 6 am in the morning he help us to check in the room early and we are very please and restaurant 的 和娟 大姐 thank you for you sevice for the past few days We 3 Sister's from Singapore are fussy customer been travel for many places befor specialy for hotel we want to be confortable and helpful safft to help ..we very please and thank you for your service we will be back when we come to shanghai
RUDE STAFF and poor service!!! When we arrived, we were treated carelessly and completely ignored. For such high prices, the least you could expect is a smile and some basic hospitality. The drain in our room was clogged, so the shower flooded every time we used it. And to make matters worse, upon checkout the concierge took my phone and rated the hotel positively on my behalf without my permission. Absolutely unacceptable!
