Everything is good except - Front desk, a few front desk who always look like hating her job - Momo cafe Managers are loud ( both female and male ) Always yelling at staff . The executive chef ( man with highest hat, glass ) always shove food in his face with both hand , in the MIDDLE of kitchen where everyone can see him . NEVER wash his hand after , He did it every day that Im having breakfast. THIS IS SO UNSANITARY , he ate and touch our food with same bare hands. someone need to teach the managers in the dining room as well as the kitchen staff are always so loud and you can hear everything they say. The only people are so quiet is the waitress and waiter cause most of the time they always got yelled at!

I stayed in Courtyard Shanghai Xujiahui for two nights last week. Its location is convenient, just a few minutes to the subway stations. The room is big and clean. Their service is great.
I stayed one night at the Courtyard Shanghai Xujiahui in May. The location is convenient, and while the rooms are somewhat outdated, they are acceptable for the price. Unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by a serious safety and service issue at breakfast. While serving myself oatmeal, I was burned by steam coming from the serving pot, which was extremely hot. The dining manager was standing nearby and witnessed the incident. Rather than checking on me, she simply instructed staff to turn off the stove to prevent other guests from being burned. No one offered assistance until I asked for ice. Later, I went to the front desk seeking treatment for the burn. I was told they only had Band-Aids available. When I asked to speak with a manager, the front desk agent first questioned why I wanted to do so, which I found surprising given the circumstances. Eventually, they agreed to provide burn cream and said it would be delivered by the hotel robot. However, when the robot arrived, it was completely empty. After another phone call, the medicine was finally delivered by a staff member. What disappointed me most was not the accident itself, but the complete lack of concern and professionalism shown afterward. At no point did anyone proactively check on my well-being or apologize in a meaningful way. I subsequently contacted Marriott Customer Service to report the incident and received no response. As a Marriott Gold member, I expected much better handling of a guest injury. Based on this experience, I will avoid this hotel in the future and am reconsidering my loyalty to Marriott properties more broadly.
Very bad service, room is smelly, facilities are dated! Worst hotel I ever tired in Marriott group!!
Normally, I do not stay in this part of shanghai. Nevertheless, it was a good stay. The rooms on the 21st floor are newly renovated. The suite is nice and comfortable. Marriot Elite members get good recognition. The club lounge is also nice and modern. Will definitely consider staying here in the future.
