Baolong Hotel Shanghai

Classic hotel with nice hospitality! I booked a room at Baolong Hotel through an online platform just an hour before checking in, and the hotel couldn't find my reservation in their system at first. However, the front desk staff was extremely patient, polite, and respectful while working to solve the problem. Unlike many experiences where staff might show frustration or impatience during unexpected issues, they handled everything with remarkable grace and guest-first professionalism. They resolved the issue quickly and got me into my room in no time. The property itself is quite large. While the decor isn't bright or modern like newer hotels, it offers a timeless, classic feel with warm lighting that creates an atmosphere of traditional luxury. The room was spacious, spotless, and fully equipped with standard high-end amenities. The bed, pillows, and bedding were soft and very comfortable, and there was even a beautiful backlit stone art piece that added a lovely touch to the ambiance. For international travelers who might hesitate to book a local Chinese-named hotel like Baolong Hotel rather than an international chain (due to concerns about inconsistent standards), I can confidently confirm that this hotel fully meets Western standards for its star rating. I was thoroughly impressed and will definitely stay here again!
