I recently stayed at ATOUR Hotel in Shanghai and overall had a very pleasant experience. The hotel offers a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere that made the stay enjoyable from check-in to departure. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, especially the bedding and overall room setup which allowed for proper rest after long days in the city. The breakfast selection was also impressive, with a good variety of delicious options that catered to different tastes. It was definitely one of the highlights of the stay. What stood out the most was the staff. Everyone was professional, warm, and very helpful throughout my visit. Their hospitality and willingness to assist guests truly added value to the overall experience. The only area that could use improvement is the centralized air conditioning system in the room, as there was a noticeable cigarette smell coming from the ventilation at times. Perhaps the hotel could consider investing in improved air conditioning filters and additional hotel fragrance solutions to maintain the fresh and clean ambiance that the property otherwise provides very well. Despite this minor concern, I still had a very good stay and would gladly recommend ATOUR Hotel to travelers visiting Shanghai.

A bit Confusing Layout (Stayed in from April 2, 2026 to April 5, 2026) New International Expo Center branch of Atour Hotel situated at quite area. The location which far from hustle life wasn't mean the hotel lack of guests. Instead, Atour Hotel appared to be popular among locals. Few foreign guests were seen too. Some of the hotel guests might took advantage of the location near Shanghai Metro Longyang Station and Shanghai Maglev Longyang Station. From outside, the hotel looks like an ordinary hotel. Inside the building, the floor layout give opposite impression. For unknown reason, the hotel had weird layout like a maze. Some rooms weren't facing outward the building. Presumably due to regulation reason, all rooms have window, even if the window shown the void inside the hotel building. This could lead a confusion for first-timer. The room was very spacious. Certain things in the bedroom also was available in large size, such bed, table, and television. However, it lack of beautiful view from the window, as I got bedroom facing the void inside the hotel building. Unusually, the television had large amount selection of local channel rather than CCTV. The room had bright lighting. For the room, the score was 9 of 10. The bathroom wasn't as spacious as the the bedroom, but nowhere being cramped. For the bathroom, the score was 9 of 10. Due to space limitation, the hotel had small size restaurant for breakfast. It didn't hindered to able to offer wide variety of breakfast menu. Mostly mixture between Chinese and Western. The menu tasted great. For the breakfast, the score was 9 of 10. All the staff, unfortunately, can only speak Mandarin. Despite this, they try to communicate with foreign hotel guests with translator apps. They tried to help as possible as can, ignoring the language barrier. Exactly at the front of the hotel, there was Tesla supercharger.
There aren't many reviews of this well positioned hotel. The beds are very comfortable and the location can't be beat, if you are coming or going from Pudong airport. The maglev terminal is easy walking distance and it is on three Metro lines. Great spot. The breakfast buffet is extensive with a focus on the Asian palette, obviously. More difficult to find if you are using google maps, so download Amap to find it easily.
The hotel is wonderful! I'm Brazilian and I fell in love with it, from the kitchen to the housekeeping staff and the attendants. They were all very kind and helpful! By the way, I wanted to ask the hotel staff a favor. Does anyone have their email address, please? I don't speak Mandarin, so I can't call them.
Hotel Review: The hotel's location is excellent, as it is conveniently close to the expo center and metro station. The rooms are spacious and incredibly comfortable, ensuring a pleasant stay. The staff members are highly accommodating and courteous, always ready to assist. However, one aspect that could be improved is the availability of English-speaking staff. There seems to be a shortage in this area, which can sometimes hinder effective communication with guests.
