The trip was interesting, informative a great place to explore and find out facts about what happened to this wonderful place. I highly recommend going to visit this wonderful interesting site, exploring and imagining the lives these people lived, the frivolous lives , basking in the sun been fed grapes, and enjoying drinking wine and eating wonderful foods and enjoying life.

Jesus was an amazing tour guide he kept us engaged and explained everything in a way that made sense. He was very knowledgeable and you could tell that he was very interested in the topic!
Emilie was so incredibly knowledgeable and a fantastic guide during our tour. We visited during unseasonably hot weather and he did everything he could to help keep the tour enjoyable, including distracting some of the kids during our guided visit. He had great insights about the archeological site my family enjoyed him very much!
We absolutely loved this tour, our guide was so knowledgeable. So much to see and well worth a visit.
Wow, what a wonderful experience! Petra our guide made the ruins come back to life with her full and vivid descriptions. Amazing walk back in time!
I was very underwhelmed with our guide. He spoke poor English and led us around for an hour and a half is high heat with little shade. I have been on quite a few tours on this trip to Spain and was given a clear introduction about the history of the country and the site I was visiting wherever I went. I honestly cannot repeat anything of what I was supposed to have learned here. The guide was constantly talking about what it possibly could have been and we were repeatedly told to use our imagination and many theories. I could have walked the site in less than half an hour for the 1,50 Euro entrance fee and it would have been done faster and walked away equally informed.
I purchased the tickets the night before and the process was effective and quick. The guide staff was waiting for me at the entrance.
Quite interesting site, be aware it’s cash only to enter , very cheap at E1.50. No cash machine on site but luckily the next door garage did let me make small purchase with cash back . Site has a lot of entrances gated so you can’t get to as many parts as wished for , the mosaics are very interesting. It could do wit more information screens / notice boards. Take note , only facilities on site are toilets and drink vending machine. We did struggle to get a taxi or uber to pick us up after due to it being out of the city . There is a bus service but times seem to vary!
What an amazing tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable. She gave us a lot of information and context and answered all our questions.
Our Itálica tour with Nacho was absolutely outstanding. He was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing the history of the site with so much passion and detail that it truly brought the ancient ruins to life. Beyond being informative, he was patient, respectful, and made everyone feel comfortable throughout the experience
This tour only covered basic facts that were already posted throughout the ruins and in the museum. Moreover, our guide (originally French) was low energy and made weak jokes and odd facial expressions- think Peter Sellers’s Inspector Clouseau in the Pink Panther. Initially, we even thought she was drunk! Recommend you save money and skip this tour. Start at the museum near the entrance- it has a short video giving a nice overview. Then tour on your own. It’s not a complicated site and pretty small.
It was very interesting and educational and fun tour. Jesus made it very enjoyable with lots of facts, funny stories and tons of information about Roman times and life’s of this town. The tour exceeded my expectations.
We were told the wrong meeting point, the guide arrived 20-25 mins late with a coach party and the expected lateness was not communicated to us. I was about to look at site by self and complain. I tried to contact tour co b=va violator - no reply. I only got to them by looking up he tour company’s details on web. Even then, they did not answer phone but did respond to whatsapp
Very interesting tour made more enjoyable by our guide Alberto. Alberto was a fantastic guide. His knowledge of the ruins and their history made the trip a highlight.
A great tour. Another history lesson on how advanced the Romans were as a civilization. Homes. baths, sewers, water, and enertainment. Also, if you like Game of Thrones, a must visit location. Carmen (tour guide) was nice and very knowledgeable.
Alberto is an excellent tour guide, extremely knowledgeable about Roman history & the Italica site. His enthusiasm for the subject was infectious and I learnt a lot more about the history than if I did a self guided tour. As a history enthusiast, I would have preferred more time on my own after Alberto's excellent explanation to explore both the remains & the amphitheatre. In my opinion, extending the time on site by an extra 15 minutes would make the tour better. The booking was made in one of Naturanda offices which was easy to arrange. An interesting tour with a knowledgeable guide which I would recommend to others.
Very beautiful roman architecture which you can definitly enjoy better if you have a guide with you. My guide was C. Contarini and she showed us definitly the best sites in the area. Would book it again!
Carmen was entertaining and very knowledgeable the tour went very well despite the extraordinary heat, worth to do at anytime
We enjoyed a well narrated tour of Italica. We rode in a clean van to the sight from Sevilla with our guide Jose Luis. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The site is a beautiful archeological site and well worth the visit. Then we visited a nearby monastery and Jose knew a lot about the history and the art. I would recommend this tour from this company.
Alberto was wonderful. He was informative and answered all questions. He was very personable. He is a Great quide.
The tour was incredible and an absolute must see. Our tour guide Miguel was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job explaining the history of the ancient city. The amphitheater, (the dragon pits from Game of Thrones) were a highlight if you are GOT fans. Our one big complaint is that there is NO public transportation back (i.e. no taxi service to Sevillla) and we were not forewarned of this. There is only bus transport back - takes cash ONLY - (which we ran out of and had to walk 20 minutes to an atm to pull out cash) and is a long way back to the city (over 1 hour with all the stops). Highly recommend only doing this tour if you have a car and can drive yourself or book a tour with transportation to and from the city. Viator needs to be more clear about the transportation options. Still a great trip though!
Great trip to the italica roman city and the nearby monastery. We'll organised and Alberto was the perfect guide for this half day!
A bus collected our group in de centre of Sevilla and headed to the site of Italica. Our guide Alberto has very detailed knowledge of Italica and he presented it to us enthousiastically, as wel as he did in the Monastery afterwards. This trip I surely can recommend!
This was fascinating! The ruins were incredible, and our guide Jesus shared so much interesting information as we walked through the ruins. The group was not too big and it was easy to hear him. I learned so much that I actually took notes so I could remember it all! An incredible experience.
Fascinating visit to the Roman ruins, including the amazing amphitheatre and remains of Italica city. We had a private tour and our guide Nacho was passionate and knowledgeable about the subject and good fun to spend time with. He also gave us a lift back to Seville! Highly recommend this trip.
Alberto is an exceptional tour guide! Thanks to his deep knowledge of history and art, he introduced us to the fascinating historical context of Italica, making the tour much more meaningful. Without his explanations, we would have only understood part of the site’s significance. As an Italian, I was amazed to realize how the ancient Romans brought their ingenuity, art, education, and competitive spirit even to the farthest western reaches of their empire. Additionally, Alberto’s artistic expertise is incredibly diverse, and he shares it with great passion—though his heart undoubtedly beats strongest for the Baroque period ;-) Highly recommended!
I’ve never heard of Italica until I visited Seville. It is a must see historical location. The beauty of the mosaics and how great they look even though they are so old from this ancient Roman city is amazing. Alberto is very knowledgeable and is very passionate when it comes to history. I recommend to take this trip once with him and then stay there as I did to view the entire ancient city. He makes sure you know all the important history on this beautiful site.
I’ve never heard of Italica until visiting Seville. It was an amazing must see place to visit. How well preserved and the presentation of this ancient Roman town is amazing. Alberto is a great tour guide, he knows his history and is very passionate. I recommend to go once with him to learn all the history and a second trip to go at your own pace to really appreciate and see the entire ancient city.
Unbelievably good tour but the tour guide is off the get his doctorate so will no longer leading the tour. Really knowledgeable and made the city come to life...
The tour of Italica and the amphitheater was awesome! Fascinating, informative, beautiful. Alberto Cort was our guide and he was absolutely the best! Knowledgeable, accessable, fun, and attentive. He made Italica come alive.
Worthwhile tour. Itálica ruins were very interesting and the guide was very eager to provide us with all of the history.
The amphitheater was the highlight for me—massive, well-preserved, and full of history. Scattered throughout the site, you’ll also find stunning mosaic tiles, some still exposed to the elements, adding to the authenticity of the experience. A fascinating glimpse into Spain’s Roman past!
This tour is by bus and is about 30 miles east of Sevilla, it is of ancient Roman Ruins that are currently being excavated. Many of the excavated ruins have been 'rebuilt' to show what once was. The main attraction is the 'theatre' that is in the round and constructed of mainly rock and a cement type mud. Our guide was knowledgeable and explained the constructions, the usages, and much more of the history than one could absorb in the short time we were at the site. There are bathrooms and a small museum at the site. Plan on an hour or more walking on cobblestone and up or down slight hilly grades. Plan on doing some reading of the plaques as you tour the many ancient ruins. It you have been to Roman ruins in Italy or Turkey, you will be surprised at the 'difference' in construction in Sevilla. There are some preserved tile floors and walls at this site, and you may get to see some archeologist and their 'students' at work hand-digging the rocky soil looking for more artifacts.
Rebecca delighted us by accompanying us in Italian to discover Italica. The visit is worth it. They should charge for the ticket to have the funds to be able to dig further and bring to light as much as possible.
Even though the weather was cold and rainy it was very interesting experience and our guide was very funny and well informed. I wished we could have spent more time but weather didn’t help! The monastery was absolutely amazing and beautiful, that was a plus! Bus left and picked us up on time. Very short trip from Sevilla, only 35 minutes. If you have time then visit Italica!
The Italica tour with Ines was an outstanding experience. She was incredibly friendly and highly knowledgeable, making the exploration of this historic site even more enjoyable. As the birthplace of emperors like Trajan and Hadrian, Italica’s significance is undeniable. The ruins are impressive, with well-preserved structures like the amphitheater and other recognizable elements. Ines explained everything clearly, making the tour accessible and engaging, even for those less familiar with Roman history. Highly recommended for history enthusiasts and casual explorers alike!
Jesus was engaging and energetic, full of information garnered from his archeology background. He delighted in the details we might have missed like the pipes in the ground and the game boards etched in the player waiting area. We learned about life in Itálica, Roman civilization and had a lot of fun.
Our guide, Catherine, was friendly, knowledgeable and interesting. The trip was well paced and took the needs of all guests into consideration. We loved learning so much about the history of Italica and Spain, and the monastery visit was a wonderful, unexpected bonus.
Did the Itálica tour with Alberto and was well educated and rewarded. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. His love for art really showed.
The visit was very interesting, even though we were a small group. Maybe it was even better like this, so we could listen more carefully to the guide. Our guide León was very friendly, professional and well prepared. You could see his passion for history and archeology from the way he talked about it very thoroughly. I highly recommend this tour for every history lover. I really appreciated it.
Italica was amazing...so was our guide Alberto....perfect trip I strongly recommened to everyone to visit italica..
I’m so glad my husband and I ventured from Sevilla to Santiponce for this tour. It was not far at all by taxi, and was a refreshing change from all the medieval / early modern sites we had been visiting while in Andalusia. We had Alberto as our guide, and he was a joy and pleasure. He knew so much about the site and communicated the information with the perfect amount of context to make you appreciate what we got to see together. The ticket cost for this was much lower than La Mesquita in Cordoba, La Alhambra in Granada or the Catedral y Real Alcázar here in Sevilla. And despite the lower cost, Alberto was the best guide of all the sites we visited, and the experience just as enriching and fun as some of the other places. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the region. It sets such important context for understanding the area prior to the Visigoths. I would also pair this site with a visit to Palacio de La Condesa. Many of the mosaics that were “purchased” from Itálica in the 18 and 1900s were moved to the Palacio de la Condesa here in Sevilla. So getting to see those plus the ones in situ at Itálica really brings to life Roman Hispania.
It was a very interesting tour. Italica was an amazing place. Alberto was a very friendly and good guide! He could easily answer every question we had.
It was amazing! an unforgettable stay and interesting stories from the guide. We saw the place from Game of Thrones. Greetings from Poland
It was a lovely tour. We were separated in spanish and an englisch group. The English group was fairly small, which was nice. Alberto was an amazing guide. He knew a lot about Italica and told nice stories. Also he made sure to find places in the shade for us to stand while he was telling us things. Which was good because it was a hot day with a lot of sun.
I booked the tour for three teenagers. Two of them got sick and Naturanda was very flexible and offered me to change the date for this tour. It was easy to communicate with them and responded very quickly. The kids loved the tour! I am from Sevilla myself and since I could not go with the kids I found this a great option.
We had a very interesting tour around the Roman ruins near Seville, Jesus was a very knowledgeable tour guide whose interest in everything Roman was clear from the enthusiasm he displayed throughout the tour. Would definitely recommend if you want to see and learn a little bit of history.
We stopped in Italica on our way driving from Cordoba to Seville. Definitely worth the stop. In the middle of a small town there are these amazing Roman ruins with incredible mosaics. I didn't really believe that it would be as impressive as the guide book wrote but i was impressed. It is a large site so make sure to walk the entire area to see all the mosaics. Then stop at the nearby bar - just a few feet outside the site for a refreshing drink. I recommend this for everyone who is interested in history and especially in ancient history.
Fab educational tour … Leon our guide was so knowledgable & made the history so interesting…. Mosaics were out of this world…
Our guide, Alberto, was very knowledgeable and gave very insightful commentary during the tour which made the tour a lot more interesting. The tour duration was also just nice and it was overall a very enjoyable visit to the Italica.
