Itinerary
The guide will pick you up at the closest meeting point to your accommodation. Our pick up points: Calle Trajano nº6, Calle Zaragoza 1 and Calle Rastro 12A.
We will arrive at the Strait of Gibraltar, in Tarifa, where we will take a ferry that will take us to the African continent in less than an hour, crossing the Strait and enjoying magnificent views of the sea during this journey between Europe and Africa.
Once we arrive in the north of Morocco, a local Moroccan guide will join us. We then will board the transport in and first enjoy a panoramic tour and get to know the most emblematic places around Tangier.
Once the panoramic tour is finished, we will arrive at the center of the city of Tangier where we will begin a magnificent walk through the city of Tangier and than enjoy a Moroccan lunch and taste their fabulous cuisine. After this gastronomic stop, we will continue our visit getting to know more corners of this city and enter some of the hundreds of shops that line the streets.
The visit will end arriving again at the Port of Tangier to take the ferry back to Tarifa from where we will return Seville late at night.

The experience to Tangier Morocco was amazing, the guide was very knowledgeable, he explained very clear in two different languages, not rushing. He directed us to the right location for pictures and lunch was delicious , I will recommend this company Viajes de el Sur travel. The group that travels with us ,wonderful people for all over the world , we meet and create new experiences and friendships. The only negative was a long driving from our hotel in Seville.
Julian did a great job getting us from Seville to Tarifa. He even offered to help us find a restaurant when we returned late in the evening, which was a thoughtful gesture. The trip was well worth the long day. Mohammed was informative and entertaining, and the pace kept even our teenager engaged. Vendors will approach you, but a polite, firm "no" was all it took. Overall, a great experience and well worth the time and money.
We were recommended through our apartment and it was a great day trip we thoroughly enjoyed it. Rachid the guide in Tangier was so funny & informative he honestly made the trip! The stops on the way were a bit short we wish we had more time only 10 mins each and camel riding was €2 extra, but overall a great experience
Excellent guide, Racheed was an excellent tour guide who knew the city in and out and was quite funny. It was definitely a good choice to see Tangier with a tour group, as I would not have been able to experience the crowds and atmosphere the same way we did with the tour guide. The group was large, but it worked out well. It was a long day, we departed from Seville at 7:00, and arrived back in Seville at 23:00 but it was well worth it. The ferry also was very nice, there is a great cafeteria on board with excellent food. Our experience was awesome. And overall it was worth the price.
The tour is educational and entertaining. Our tour guide Ashid was full of humour and knowledgeable. Highly recommended to friends and family.
🚨 A COMPLETE DISASTER: Avoid This Tour at All Costs! 🚨 If you are looking for a stressful, unorganized, and agonizingly long ordeal, then by all means, book this tour. We booked an English-speaking day trip from Seville to Tangier, and it quickly devolved into a logistical nightmare. Let's start with the sole saving grace of the entire day: Rashid, our local guide in Tangier. Rashid was fantastic. He was professional, attentive, and actually cared about our experience. When our time in Tangier was over, he walked us all the way back to the ferry and stayed with us until we safely passed the first checkpoint. He was the only bright spot in an otherwise miserable day. Everything else handled by this company was an absolute joke. Our initial guide gave us absolutely no instructions on what to do once we boarded the ferry to Tangier. To make matters worse, they didn't even bother staying with us until we cleared the first part of the ferry process. We were completely left to fend for ourselves. The Cave of Hercules was included on the itinerary, and it was the biggest, most underwhelming tourist trap I have ever seen in my life. Skip it. The real nightmare began when we sailed back to Spain. When we docked in Tarifa, there was absolutely no one waiting to guide us back to the bus. We had to rely on pure luck, deciding on a whim to walk back to the original drop-off point just to see if the bus was there. Remember, we explicitly booked and paid for an "English" tour. On the return journey, absolutely no one on the staff spoke a word of English. Then out of nowhere, the driver informed us that we were making an unannounced detour to drop people off in Cadiz. At the start of the day, we were explicitly promised we’d be back in Seville between 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM. Instead, we made three separate stops in Cadiz. What should have been a straightforward 1-hour-and-45-minute drive turned into a grueling 4-hour hostage situation. To add insult to injury, during this massive 4-hour delay, we were offered no water, no bathroom breaks, and absolutely no food or snacks. It was completely miserable. When the bus finally dragged itself back into Seville, the driver made another random, unannounced stop. Realizing how incredibly late it was, we ended up just hopping off right there because it happened to be marginally closer to where we were staying. Because of the massive delays caused by this company, we were stranded in Seville past midnight. At that hour, there were zero taxis available and no food options open. We had to walk 30 minutes back to our accommodation on empty stomachs, completely exhausted, and thoroughly disgusted by how we were treated. This company is unprofessional, unorganized, and has zero regard for customer service or basic human comfort. Rashid deserves to work for a much better agency. Do not waste your money or your precious vacation time on this nightmare. **0/5 stars.**
The guides were knowledgable, friendly and funny and made the atmosphere comfortable for a solo traveler. We saw a good mix of culture, religion, real life, and natural surroundings. Susanna and Jose and Rishan were the best!
We did this trip with our 2 young adult kids (19 & 21) during Ramadan. It was fantastic. We were only 1 week in Portugal and Spain and decided to include this day trip to Morocco. It was the highlight for sure, we all agree and are glad we did it. The downside obviously, is the drive from Seville to Tarifa and back, but the day in Morocco is worth it. The guide Rashid was amazing, he was with us the whole time in Morocco. We stopped to do some sights and ride camels before settling in the city for lunch and a walk through the markets. While it was a very long day (7:30 pickup and 11 pm return), it was definitely worth it.
Pia and Rashid were excellent guides. Everything was well organized. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and look forward to taking another tour somewhere else.
Had an amazing experience and our tour guide Pia was amazing. She was help and always attentive. Memorable trip 100%. Thank you
Badly organised pick up, changed the time from 8.30am to 7.15 am and then 6.15am. But no one came at 6.15am! When the office staff came they said the pick up was not 6.15am. I had to show them the message they sent me before anyone believed me! Driver spoke in Spanish to the other people in the van the whole way. Pretty much ignored us. Getting on ferry was also a shambles. Got off ferry and was met by Rasheed, he seemed ok Got driven around in a bus for a few hours. Saw a random cave with paintings that was supposed to be Hercules cave? Went to lunch, a long walk up a hill to the kasbah but we didn’t go inside the kasbah, so that walk was a waste of time. Taken to a shop where guide gets commission, he told us he did. Then we were let loose in the market for 1.5 hours before rejoining the group. Went back to ferry terminal, more drama with long lines at immigration. Husband was sent back because passport guy didn’t stamp his passport properly! He nearly missed the ferry. Long drive back to Seville. Got back to hotel at 11.45pm. It was a long and disappointing day. The group of 47 was too big for the one guide to successfully manage
Run away! They are scammers and liars. They kept changing the time of when we were supposed to leave. I got to the location 45 minutes early and no one showed up, when we reached out they told us 3 different times when someone was there waiting for us, while we were still waiting for someone to show up. They said it was our fault and did not give a refund.
Amazing day trip to Morocco! Very organized and safe. Rachid, our tour guide, was so funny and knowledgable and helpful. He did a great job at guiding the group but also being attuned to individual and family needs/wants. My stepdad is older and Rachid was attentive to his needs and abilities - He would make sure my stepdad knew a more accessible route or restroom with fewer stairs, etc. He also found a local cafe my stepdad could rest at while the rest of the group went on a walking tour. I was interested in antique Moroccan tiles and Rachid walked me to a vendor. He was so thoughtful. The trip is long but with the ferry and bus rides, there is time to nap/rest! :)
We really wanted to go to Morocco. With four women traveling together, we felt safer taking a tour. Our driver to the ferry did not explain any of the passport procedures to us prior to leaving us to get on the ferry, which was very stressful the tour guide in Morocco was very nice. however, his version of Morocco is fantasy. we really didn’t have time to be in the market and feel safe. There were too many hawkers of goods harassing us. Children were begging us to buy Kleenex and crying. It was not a good experience. I feel all the places that we were stopped displayed animal cruelty, and children not being well taken care of. It is better just to travel to the ferry and walk to the old town and then take the very back to Spain.
I'm glad to describe what a great day trip I had from Seville to Tangier... it had the right activities, carefully curated, organized, and timed to get the most from our day. Miguel, our organizer, and Rashid, the guide in Tangier, were both exceptional. I'm usually a bit leery of group tours, but this one was so good I'll have to reconsider. Thanks for a terrific experience.
JuanRA was our awesome tour guide from Seville & Rachid was our energetic guide while in Tangier, Morocco. Raul was our excellent driver. Both of our tour guides were very knowledgeable about the information provided. We felt safe at all times. The ferry transportation & passport check went smoothly. We loved the camel ride, visiting the museum, shopping, free time. We loved everything! They made the tour super special & celebrated my b-day during our lunch. The meal was delicious! They even got me roses! I totally recommend this tour. The meeting point is easy to find. It was very memorable & fantastic!
The experience was excellent and friendly. Juanra ( Juan Ramon Jinenez)was a great tour guide. He was very pleasant to everyone and always aware to keep us safe
We absolutely loved this experience. Everything about it was wonderful. The highlight for us were our tour guides, Merce y Rashid. They were the best guides, so warm, welcoming and friendly. It was an overall long day but every planned stop and visit were simply perfect. An excellent way to see a little bit of Morocco.
Local guide was great (Rashid). Seville guide was adequate but not clear instructions at times. Lunch served at a place clearly only tourists go to.
Not so great tour, the tour guide Rachid was more concerned about bringing us to stores where he can make a commission out of the sales, rather than have better activities. Restaurant food was sub par, the band was adamant about getting tips from us after playing, I've had better Morrocan food in the United States, the restaurant was dirty. The Hercules Cave tour should be removed. It has no value except for the hawkers and scammers inside. The spice store needs to be removed from the tour too. It was a complete waste of time and was probably added for commission, and does not offer value to the tour participants. The Camel ride was too short for a bus load. I dont feel we got our moneys worth from this tour and offered little value and experience. We paid a lot for this only to be brought to places where it benefited the guide rather than the tourists. It's a loooong day too! We started at 730am and did not return till almost midnight. It's almost a 3 hour bus ride from Seville to Tarifa and another 1 hour ferry ride to Tangier. The only highlights of this tour are the camels and the Med Sea/ Atlantic Ocean marker. This tour could be better if some items were replaced with better sights.
The tour guides were fantastic, but I felt like the tour gave precious time to activities without benefits. For example, we visited Hercules cave. I think it wasn't worth it at all. Instead, I would like to spend more time riding by the seaside with the camels. The lunch, which was included, was a little bit simple. The tour operator took us to shops where they accepted credit cards, but the price difference between them and the street vendors was exaggerated. Even though you have to negotiate with everybody, I feel ripped off.
We did not enjoy this trip. Several concerns : our local guide’s English was mediocre at best. He seemed more interested in moving things along rather than narrating. There was not much to see on the panoramic city tour. Tanger was just a series of standard low level tourist shops that could have been anywhere in the world. In addition the two promotional stops for woolens and one for spices were a waste of time leaving only 30 minute free time. Not worth the 2.5 hour bus ride plus an hour ferry ride
They said I would be picked-up at 7 and to be there 6.45; the bus came only at 7.30 so it was quite a while waiting in the dark empty street. No one was at port of Tarifa to greet us so we had no idea who would give us our ferry tickets etc. The driver didn't know either and didn't speak any English. Someone in the group managed to call the provider and someone finally showed up to take us to the ferry, give us our tickets and further instructions. Ferry takes 1 hour. Guide in Tangier was ok, made sure no one got hassled or left behind. Camel ride is €2; it was the highlight of the trip. Cave was artificial. Drinks during the Moroccan lunch were not included, €1.5-3 non alcoholic. We visited a textile shop (more expensive than zouk) & a shop with oils; it felt like we were mostly there to get us to buy stuff. We were back at the ferry at 17.00. Others had booked the same tour starting from Tarifa for €85 thru Grupo Star. Bus Sevilla to Tarifa costs €25, so for €110 you could do the same tour instead of paying $ 250! Part of our group was at the end of the line waiting for immigration so even though we got out early we had to wait until everybody was in the bus to start the 2.5 hr drive back. Back in Sevilla at 23.00hr.
The van ride was not comfortable. The spice and weaving sales pitches were a waste of time. The bus tour in Morroco was good.
Overall it was a great experience packed with activities all in one day from Seville to Tangier and back! Only thing to point out is thar there was a Mosque visit mentioned however that was a very small mosque door and saw it only from the outside. I thought we would visit the Great Mosque of Tangier which would have been a more fulfilling experience. Also the cloth merchant and argan oil shop visit time should have been less and optional (not carried out like a class lecture). We would have liked to explore the shops atTangier souks more. The camel ride, view of the beach and Hercules Cave visit was excellent.
The tour itself was great but 48 people is far too many for a single group, which cut into the enjoyment a little and limited our time at some places. If this were run with half that number or less it could have been much tighter. I also question two sales pitches being part of the group (one for textiles, one for natural remedies). Not that they werent interesting but I'm not a huge fan of being made to sit through a presentation during what's meant to be a relaxing vacation.
The most memorable part of the experience was the rude, disgusting, disrespectful piece of trash that was at the reception desk at Rastro St. 12A on August 24, 2024. Email stated 8:30 AM pick up at that location, at 8:25 the trash at the desk made it clear as flippant and rude a demeanour as she could muster that the driver has left 15 minutes before. Completely unhelpful. We had to press her for a solution. Irritated, her exasperation on full display, she decided to call the driver. We took a cab to the next pick up point. Our Spain side guide was an amateur. Unprepared and an obvious novice at communicating and controlling a crowd. The company added insult to injury by offering to pay my cab fare. Here is the great customer service, I had to take another cab to one of their offices to pick up reimbursement for my taxi fare!!! I declined their offer and they had a brilliant idea; they delivered the reimbursement to my hotel!!! Do yourself a favour, don’t take this tour!!!
Interesting in concept but a heck of a long day. We had football tickets for the same night as we were told we would return to Seville by 20:30. Then the guide said 22:30 but we did not return until midnight. Had it been a great trip I would probably not have minded. It was not a great trip. The entire ferry ride over was spent standing in line waiting for Moroccan passport control to enter our passports into the system. The tour was fine until we were frog marched twice into sales pitches for items we were not interested in like perfumes and holistic medicines. Add to that the lunch where we had to pay exorbitant prices for drinks like water and colas. Then the constant, and I mean constant, street sellers who just will not take no for an answer. All this added up to an experience that I cannot recommend to anyone.
The Tangier one day tour is very fulfilling. We visited many parts of Tangier, such as the famous cave and Medina. There is also free time for us to explore more by ourselves. Assia is a very nice tour guide. She made sure that we had a great time. I really appreciate her hard work, patience and kindness. Thank you.
This trip was fantastic! Our guide Rachid was phenomenal. He was so friendly, energetic and fun. This was our first time in Morocco and we will certainly go back after this great experience.
On the whole, we enjoyed the trip and don’t regret spending an entire day seeing Tangier. As other reviews have stated, the transport part of the experience was LONG, over 2 hours in the bus each way and then an hour each way on the ferry (many people got seasick) and Rachid, the guide in Morocco, was absolutely fantastic. The people hired to get us from Seville to Tarifa and back though were two teenage girls who did not speak English (we were an English speaking group) did NOTHING to try and keep the group together and really dropped the ball in every possible way. My travel companion and I both clicked into Mom-mode and took charge of making sure everyone was accounted for and didn’t get lost in the crowd of the ferry. I sure do hope that this was an isolated experience and that those two girls do not work for the company any longer, because neither of them is suited for this industry.
Rashid was an amazing tour guide. He was the highlight of trip. Make sure to bring euros, you will need cash for multiple things including photos with the camels, water or soda at lunch and some shopping. I would also suggest bringing some snacks (or buy some food on the boat) as you will return to Sevilla around Midnight and not much is open, meaning lunch could be your only meal of the day. It was a very unique experience to be able to take a boat across the strait of Gibraltar and land in North Africa. We had a nice drive around Morocco in a very nice bus, made a quick stop to take photos with camels on the side of the rode, short of an experience but a nice instagram moment. We went to a lookout point to see the beautiful coast line and had a nice lunch. After lunch it felt more commercial than we would have liked. Rashid was very amusing walking us around the streets of the Medina and giving us a little bit of history, but we spent most of our time in two shops, one the sells handmade scarves/blankets/towels and one that sold Moroccan oil skincare. We then were given 45 mins to go shopping before we got back on the bus to go back to the boat. Overall it was a nice way to see a glimpse of Morocco from Spain, but it is a long day for only a few hours of sights.
Don't waste the day. The ride to the ferry is 2+ hours. The ferry wait is another. Getting off the ferry takes another hour. Your actual tour is less than 5 hrs. You drive past major sites and get a few minutes to see a site, take a picture and rush off. The camel ride is 30 seconds on the side of the road. The sites are so busy you can't get good pictures. Near the end you get 45 minutes in your own to shop or try some treats before going through the hour or more boarding process, ferry ride, passport check back in Tatifa and ride back to Sevilla. Lots of money and not what we hoped for so just lost a day in Sevilla.
We would definitely recommend this tour as a way to see Morocco if you only have one day! Our guide in Morocco, Rachid, was incredible! Very knowledgeable, entertaining, and kept us moving! The lunch provided was an experience in and of itself and the demonstrations arranged with vendors gave us confidence we were buying from reputable shops. This was a great way to see and experience Morocco in a day! It was a long day, especially the bus ride to and from Seville. Don't forget to bring something to do or plan to get some sleep on the bus rides!
Everything was perfect. Best trip i ever been Starting with our driver from Sevilla to Tarifa- -Alberto and finnishing with our guide from Tanger- Rashid...best guide i ever met- a very funniest , sweetest and worming person
Our day trip to Tangier from Seville was a long day, but totally worth it. Our driver to and from the ferry was friendly and polite and the transportation vehicle was exceptionally clean and comfortable. In Tangier, our guide Raheed was brilliant, multilingual, and exceptionally good at getting us around and managing our group. We saw a lot by bus and on foot. Lunch was surprisingly good for it being a tour group meal. We were fortunate to go during a quieter time of year--our group in Tangier was only about 15 people and we would have had a different experience had it been larger. Word to the wise: the ferry ride was VERY rough on the way over, and many passengers were sick, so bring some Dramamine.
The tour was amazing! It gave us a great snapshot of Moroccan culture, and our tour guide, Rachid was top-notch! He had a great love for the culture, the people, the history and the faith traditions of the country. It was a full day, packed with travel, fun, and great experiences! Our only suggestion would be not to spend time at the cave of Hercules, since there was such little history in this place, and it seemed like it was just a small little tourist spot. Time spent elsewhere would have been our preference, but overall an amazing day!
Our trip on July 27, 2023 started with a change in pick up from 06:30 am-to-08:30 am. We were the only tourists with a family of 2 boys (15 and 12 1/2 years old). Miguel was our guide for the excursion and was very pleasant, knowledgeable and funny who had a lot of experience being on multiple trips to Morocco. I would HIGHLY recommend him. On landing in Morocco, the group was split into 2 buses (Spanish-speaking of about 50 people) and English-speaking ( 11 people, primarily Canadians). Miguel had informed us that the local tour guide that he normally uses had a family emergency and was replaced with a new guide (he was really informative!!). A great day with a "small taste" of Moroccan culture, sights, lunch, and tour of the Souk market. However, it was the end of the trip that left a sense of security amongst our small group. The INITIAL local tour-guide that cancelled due to family death had come to the port to mention the ferry will be LATE possibly by 2 HOURS! During this time he offered to take the small group of 11 and show the beach/other sites and return back to the port in 2 hours....Than the story CHANGES that the FERRY MAY NOT be leaving and could be cancelled. This caused A LOT of confusion and PANIC since the group had not met him. Our guide, Miguel had re-assured everyone that he has full-trust and experience with the initial local tour-guide that arrived at the end of the trip. As a group, we felt unsure and had WANTED to stay at the port TERMINAL. The issue was that the local guide HAD in POSSESSION our RETURN tickets for the ferry. Two couples had to argue with the Moroccon-tour guide to demand their tickets and went on their own to the terminal. Eventually, a single Cdn tourist went to speak to an offical at the gate of the terminal and asked about the arrival/depature for our ferry. She had mentioned the ferry was LATE, BUT WAS NOT CANCELLED and will be departing back to Tarifa (Unlike the Moroccon-guide changing his story that the LAST FERRY WAS CANCELLED). In the end I would have 2 RECOMMENDATIONS for Naturanda: 1) Departure tickets for the ferry should be provided to the Spanish-tour guides at the start of the trip regardless if there may be a change in itinerary. 2) Guides working for Naturanda should be in communication with the Ferry companies for ACTUAL time arrivals/departures and NOT rely on the local Moroccon-guides for the information. My opinion suggests the local INITIAL Moroccon-guide who WE DID NOT SEE TILL THE VERY END was very erratic and was possibly trying to take advantage of the SMALL tour group of < 11 people to spend more tourism dollars or possibly have us stay the night?? As a group we felt very uncomfortable at this point. Meanwhile, the 2nd LARGE tour group (Spanish speaking) was ALL waiting at the terminal for the ferry. In the end, instead of arriving around 23:30 into Seville, we had arrived around 01:45 am. Unfortunately ruined the following morning of our trip in Seville with the kids extremely tired and exhauseted. It was not how I wanted the trip to end given the whole day was AMAZING for our family apart from the ending!!
The touring company made travel to and from Morocco easy from Seville. It is a long day and we covered a lot. The highlight was our Moroccan tour guide, Rachid, and the lunch - yummy!
The tour guides were great and the whole process was well explained and really easy. Overall, the tour was very fast paced, which was perfect for me and my group because we like to see things and keep moving. If you don't like to be rushed, then it may not be for you, We got to see so many highlights and Rasheed was a funny and interesting guide throughout tangier. Our ferry ran an hour late so we missed out on the sultans palace, but still got to see the cave and ride camels and got the best meal ever. I really loved this trip and although I wish I could have spent more time in Morocco, it was a great way to see some of it in one day.
Thankfully - we had the BEST group of people who joined in......let's face it: You are together for a VERY LONG DAY! One needs to understand that there is a TON of walking hills and steps and hills! A total blast...but please recognize that some of this trip is packed with visiting vendors (who are friends of your tour guide) and ENDLESS hackers who surround you asking you to buy crap. Smile and know that this is how they make a living.....not a great tour for anyone with a quick temper!
Itinerary was changed the day before and we ended up going to Tetouan, which I was fine with. However, we got stuck at the Morrocan border for over two hours. They ended up cutting a bunch of activities out of our itinerary. We did not visit the market or have free time to shop and we did not visit the pharmacy. We only had lunch and some breif tours. Instead of giving us free time in the market, the tour guide took us to a carpet shop where they went through every rug trying to sell it. It was very uncomfortable and they were clearly just trying to scam some college girls into buying their rugs. It was not worth the 200 euros I spent. I messaged asking for a refund and never recieved a response.
This was an excellent tour for my partner and I. Reyes, our tour guide, was friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. She had vast knowledge about local history and was quick to share her expertise with everyone on the tour. The pick-up from Seville was easy and the drive down to Tarifa was without stress. The ferry ride from Tarifa to Tangiers is breathtaking and worth the cost of admission alone. While in Tangiers, our local guide, "John Travolta," was equally as pleasant, knowledgeable and friendly as his Spanish counterpart. The tour through the Medina is obviously the highlight of the tour... and yeah it might be a little tourist-y but it all takes place in a day! It's the perfect balance of being in the mix and being a tourist. The lunch that was provided was fun and the food was excellent. Plenty of opportunities for shopping. I would recommend this day trip to friends and family and I would definitely book another tour with Naturanda, especially if their guides are like Reyes.
We booked this trip at least a month before. Three days before the trip we were emailed by Naturanda to say "The situation at the port of Tangier will be kaotic these days so that is the reason all the companies operating tours have decided cancel them, it is just for your safety, we can not guarantee a good service." Apparently due to Moroccans travelling to Spain en masse the return ferry would have a problem. They asked us if we could travel on the Saturday but we were already scheduled to have left Spain by then. If we had been told this the previous week we could have rescheduled being told at the last minute meant we missed out. :(

the tour was not much of a tour but more like an opportunity for the guide in Morocco to take us around on a shopping trip to his friend's shops. There was very little in the way of history and culture that was imparted to us. it could have been so much better but instead it was just a glorified shopping trip.

it should have included some historical sites and information.

I would not sign up for this again.

Since we were in the South of Spain, we wanted to add a visit to Morocco, and this was an easy way to do it. Our guide, Lupita, picked us up at our hotel and from there it was about a 2 1/2 hour ride to port. She was outstanding and shared interesting information along the way. She was extremely helpful in helping us check in at the port. The ferry ride is only about 40 minutes and another guide met us when we arrived to help us with our passport. Be prepared for long lines for the passport.
Once we were gathered, a tour guide in Morocco then collected us and to give us an overview and took us for a quick ride and photo opportunity on a camel. That part was fun! Our guide then drove us to the old part of the city for a walking tour. It was beautiful and full of color. The walking tour was interesting and our guide was easy to understand and well informed. We then had a traditional Moroccan lunch, which was a great experience. Once the tour was over, I was hoping to see more, but we were disappointed in the remainder of the afternoon, which turned in to a shopping adventure. Our first stop was a rug shop. This would have been fine to see, but it turned in to a sales demonstration. The next stop was to a pharmacy where they sold herbs that was also a demonstration, and the 3rd stop was an antique shop of sorts that also sold jewelry. This is not how we wanted to spend the short time we had in Tangiers. After that it was time to go back to the port. We would have much preferred walking and learning more about Tangiers vs in shops.
This is not a place where you want to be with out a guide. They help navigate the area, but you also have so many people on the streets coming up to you to try to sell stuff that they help protect you a bit from that, so I am glad we had a tour. However, the time spent after lunch was a complete disappointment. We were happy to see Lupita when we arrived back at the port and she once again was extremely helpful to help us get back to the bus. She was a welcome site by then!
We arrived back in our hotel late in evening, so be prepared for a long day. We would also recommend that if you don't eat lunch, that you eat some snacks on the ferry or take some with you. We arrived back at our hotel after 11:00 pm which was too late for dinner.

it was a wonderful visit. we had a divine time and I wanted to thank Mari Carmen "the one from the Kiosk" in the town hall square of Cadiz, because she especially served us very well and very professionally
It was an exhausting day trip from 7:00 a.m. from Seville until we were back at almost midnight. But it was an incredible experience. It is definitely worth it. Natasha was very caring toward us, and Raschid, the local guide on site, was also truly exceptional.
The guide was very nice, interesting tour
