Great day in Tangier! Mahsa provided us with everything we needed to know ahead of time. She was extremely helpful and organized which made our day run smoothly. Muhamed was an excellent and charismatic tour guide who showed us the entire city. The lunch was delicious and the camel ride on the beach was unforgettable. Thank you for an amazing experience in Morocco!!

Wonderful experience! Fernando was our driver to and from Tarifa. He was interesting and knowledgeable. Great experience driving to and from the port. Once we arrive in Morocco, Mustafa took such good care of us! The day went by so fast and got to see many of the highlights of Tangier. The short day trip made me want to return to Morocco for a longer visit!
What a special day! We did the day trip tour from Seville to Tangier, Morocco. Our driver, Daniel, to and from Seville to the Tarifa port was timely, kind, and got us safely to where we needed to be for our trip across to Morocco. His communication was also great! The day in Tangier was wonderful! We visited markets, Hercules cave, parks, and did a camel ride on the beach. We had a private tour with Mostafa, and he was so friendly and excited to show us all of the parts of Tangier at a comfortable pace. We had one of the best meals at a local traditional restaurant and a chance to pick up some local goods. It was such a neat experience and all of the drivers and guide helped make it a special memory!
Everything was awesome — the tour itself, our drivers, our tour guide. We loved it and highly recommend.
Everything about this experience was awesome. An awesome experience but also great communication, great drivers and great tour guide.
The trip was long but it was so enjoyable you didn't realize how late it was. Fernando was very courteous and got us to the ferry on a timely matter Sharif our tour guide was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, funny, and very kind. We were in great hands
I had an incredible experience on my day trip from Seville to Tangier. Many thanks to Mahsa, Daniel Fernando and the rest of their team. Daniel picked me up directly from my hotel in Seville and drove me all the way to Tarifa. Along the way, he stopped at a beautiful viewpoint where he kindly took photos for me before we continued to the ferry terminal. He was very attentive and caring. He didn't simply drop me off at the port. He accompanied me all the way to the ferry entrance and made sure I understood the boarding process. When I arrived in Tangier, everything went exactly as Daniel and Mahsa had explained. I immediately found my driver and guide. The transition was completely seamless. We explored several fascinating locations throughout Tangier, including Hercules cave and the Medina. My guide took me to a very charming restaurant filled with classes where I enjoyed a delicious lunch, this was a full spread! Along the way I learned about the city's rich history and culture. It was a fantastic introduction to Morocco. I later discovered that my scheduled 6:00 p.m. ferry had been cancelled due to the weather. The team quickly arranged an alternative plan and drove me an hour to another port so I could catch a different ferry back to Spain. Because of delays with the replacement ferry, Daniel had to wait at the port for a very long time. Despite the inconvenience and the late hour, he remained patient, gracious, and welcoming. He safely drove me back to Seville and we arrived well after midnight. It was a very long day but Daniel's dedication never wavered. He genuinely cares about his clients and goes above and beyond to ensure they have a smooth and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for something unique and adventurous. There is something special about leaving your hotel in Seville in the morning, crossing the Strait of Gibraltar, spending the day in Morocco, and returning to Spain that same night. Traveling from Europe to Africa by ferry is an unforgettable experience and one of the most memorable parts of my trip. Even if you plan to return to Morocco for a longer visit someday, this day trip is a wonderful way to experience another country and continent in a single day. Thanks Not Just A Tourist for a truly wonderful experience!
This experience was the best! We are so grateful that Daniel Fernando was our driver. He really went out of his way to make it memorable for us. He was so flexible, stopping so we could have breakfast and where we could see Africa and where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic Ocean on the way there, all the while keeping track of the time. Then, on the way back, he took us to take gorgeous sunset pictures at the signs indicating where the oceans meet! While in Tangier, Mohammed took excellent care of us, teaching us about Moroccan culture and taking us to very interesting locations. All in all, an incredbile experience you won't forget!
Nice day trip to Tangiers Morocco. Driver and guides were professional, nice and informative.
The day trip from Seville to Tangier was amazing. We were picked up at our hotel, and driven to the port for the ferry. The ferry was easy to navigate and customs on the boat was easy to complete. Our tour guide, Mohammed, was so good. He knew everyone and everything about the area, and was very helpful. We would have never experienced Tangier like that without him. The ferry back was easy, and then we were driven back to Seville. Very good experience if you have time while in Spain.
Good trip overall, and I’d recommend it to those short on time who want to visit Morocco. Highlight was the camel ride on the beach. Our driver from Seville, Daniel, was friendly and a good driver, and he even let us stop at a viewpoint on the way. Mohammad was our guide in Tanger and he was excellent. He told us just enough of the history and culture of Tanger to keep us interested but not overwhelmed. I do wish we would have had more free time to shop in the medina. We had a little time, but a bulk of the shopping experience was a rug shop and skincare shop that took to much time. The lunch was fine, but a bit underwhelming. All in all though, I enjoyed the daytrip!
We wanted to get a little taste of Morocco and this ended up being the perfect day. Everyone from the rug salesman to the Tangier city guide to the driver, was spectacular! We highly recommend
This was a fantastic tour! Everything went very smoothly, even after a ferry schedule change. Yes, it was expensive and you really do have to pay attention to what it included and what is not, but it was worth it! Daniel was a great driver and gave us some information about Seville and the areas between there and Tarifa. On the way back, he patiently let us sleep all the way because we were exhausted! Omar was an amazing guide in Tangier. He was so nice and patient and an excellent guide and photographer :-) The lunch was a highlight - the food was delicious and the entertainment was fun. The only thing we didn't appreciate so much was the high pressure sales people in the rug market. The rugs were beautiful but we were glad to escape. Highly recommend!
I was a little worried this might be a bit long even though I did really want to get a good feel for Morocco. To my delight, the pace was excellent, as was our guide, Mohammed, as was immersive experience! PS Camels stand up with their back legs first so consider yourself warned lol
This Tangier day trip from Seville was absolutely fantastic and ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip to Spain. Everything was very well organized, and even when ferry times kept changing, our drivers and guide handled it seamlessly. Our journey began with transport from Seville to the Port of Tarifa. The ferry schedule shifted a few times, but our drivers Matías and Daniel were flexible, communicative, and made the logistics stress-free both on the way there and on the return. Once in Morocco, our guide Mohammad truly made the experience unforgettable. He was incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, and passionate about sharing Moroccan culture and history. Throughout the day, he took us all around Tangier and provided fascinating insights at every stop. One of the best parts was how connected he is locally—thanks to him, we enjoyed a wonderful camel ride and walked through the market tasting fresh fruit and olives from specific stands he trusts. These authentic touches made the experience feel very personal. Our driver in Morocco, Abdul, was excellent—professional, friendly, and attentive throughout the day. Despite the ferry timing changes, the entire day flowed smoothly, and we were able to see and do everything planned without feeling rushed. If you’re considering a day trip to Morocco while in Spain, I highly recommend this tour. The team went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, and Tangier left a lasting impression on us.
Our day was pretty good. It started early and friendly with our driver Fernando. He was a fun guy to speak to and hugely accomodating, my twin and I got to practice our spanish and he advised us pretty well. He got us to our ferry with time to spare to grab a bite and he was so friendly we remembered that part of it the best. We got past security and the ferry trip itself was pretty fun, it's a big boat. Unfortunately it took a while to get our passports stamped but our tour guide Omar was probably our best guide so far. He was fun to speak to, informatative and felt more like a friend than a guide. We felt safe and he came off as accomodating and caring. He showed us all around the city and made the most of our time as well as advised us best one where to get gifts and take photos. He's actually a pretty good photographer so I appreciated that. He got us back to the Ferry at a good time too, we dodged a huge line becasue of it and he was patient with us. We returned to Tarifa around 8pm and our driver Fernando got us promptly. He was caring and didn't bother us when we were tired. I tipped them both.
Excellent, well planned trip. It was a long day but well worth it. Mahsa was in constant communication with me from booking up until the day before the trip, giving me options to customize my itinerary. When my original ferry was cancelled, she rebooked me on the next one right away. Fernando was our driver for our round trip drive from Seville to Tarifa. His car was comfortable and we felt safe during the long drive. He even bought us a souvenir from Tarifa while he waited to pick us up from the port. Omar was our guide in Tangier and he too was wonderful. It helps that he seems to know everyone and could get us in without a queue to almost any place. He also knows the best spot for pictures. Overall 10/10 will recommend.
Awesome experience. From the drivers to the guides, everything was first class. Would recommend them.
Very organized. Wonderful driver Daniel. Was so helpful And friendly !!! He made us feel so comfortable. Tour guide Mustafa in tangier made us Feel safe and showed us a wonderful days full of great memories
Excellent trip with Daniel Fernando, our driver from Seville to Tarifa. He communicated with us well in advance and even went out of his way to help us with the ferry tickets and a quick bite to eat. Achrad in Morocco was also very helpful, showing us the ins and outs of the city and the Medina.
Great experience with not a tourist with our guide and driver Fernando who took us from Seville to Tangier. Thank you so much Fernando
Great experience!! Daniel in Spain and Aschraf in Morocco were awesome! They expalained the history and answered all the questions that we asked. Daniel went above and beyond to try to help us in everything we asked. Would recommend to anyone
Everything was great. The communication with the driver, Fernando, regarding our pickup spot was timely and easy to follow. Hotel pickup is only available if the street your hotel is on is wide enough for the van, so we had a 3-minute walk to the pickup spot. The van was full, so we sat in the front seat with Fernando. It was a bit cramped for my wife in the middle seat, but the great view of the scenery made up for it. Fernando apologized several times for the lack of room, and did his best to make as much room for her as possible. In Tangier, our guide Aziz was the best. He told us so himself, and by the end of the tour I believed he was right. Part of the tour included a spice market which made me sneeze, so Aziz took my wife and me on a private 10-minute tour while the others shopped. The ferry ride both directions was smooth and easy. Fernando was waiting with the van when we arrived, and he gave us a mini Spanish language lesson on the way home which was much needed and appreciated.
Our guide was confused about the time change and thus did not show up. We got a substitute guide Aziz 1 who did a great job. Driver Joan was excellent and very helpful. Only other thing I would have liked to have done is go to a large bazaar to buy bulk spices.
Daniel our tour guide was pleasant. Very knowledgeable about this trip. We were picked up from our hotel taken to tarrifia and hopped a ferry to Tangeir. Where we men another Guide who took us around all day then got back on the ferry and Daniel took us back to the hotel. What an experience to have. This was a highlight of our trip and I would recommend this trip. Daniel and I wish I could remember his name were great. Could not have been a better day!
Wonderful driver and guide in Tangier. Our driver Daniel Fernando was professional and safely drove from Seville to Tarifa and then back. Our guide and driver in Tangier stayed with us the entire trip to ensure we had the customized experience we wanted. All in all excellent.
The tour was fantastic. Daniel Fernando, our driver, was punctual, friendly and very professional. He accompanied us to the port and drove us promptly and safely back. The tour in Tangier was great. Aziz our guide was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. We had plenty of to time to walk through the Kasbah and Medina neighborhoods, pointing out great historical sites and traditions. We also drove around to see the city and the great views of the beach. Would definitively recommend it.
Our day trip from Seville to Tangier was perfection! Even though we began the day with a major traffic delay and did not make our original ferry departure for tangier, our driver Fernando was able to communicate with the tour company get us on the very next one, and the company communicated with our tour guide in Tangier (who was FABULOUS)… and everything still worked out perfect, with us just returning an hour later than originally scheduled. The whole day was beautiful and our guide in Tangier asked us what was most important to us to see (which was architecture, history and the sea) and made sure to point out all the prettiest places to us. Camel rides were also really cool! Would recommend this tour for sure, and thank you to Fernando for getting us to and from Seville for this amazing day trip!
Our tour guide and driver in Tanger's were absolutely wonderful, but the person who organized the trip, Masha from NOT JUST A TOURIST, was not. Before we even left, Masha repeatedly contacted us asking for additional money to cover the ferry, camel ride, and lunch. We later realized all of these could have been easily arranged directly through the tour guide in Tangiers. Then, the day before our departure, Masha contacted us again to tell us we needed to pay more in order to make our scheduled ferry. That turned out to be false. Our driver, Fernando, dropped us off late at the ferry terminal, and we missed our boat. We ended up buying new tickets through another provider to catch the next ferry. We expect a refund for the original tickets we purchased. On the return, our guide in Tangier went above and beyond making sure our tickets were correct and walking us to the terminal. But once we arrived back in Spain at 10 p.m., there was no driver waiting. We called and texted Masha multiple times, but she never answered. Even our guide in Tangier tried to reach her, also without success. We were stranded 2.5 hours away from our hotel in Seville, late at night in cold, windy weather. Eventually, Fernando answered his phone, but instead of meeting us at the terminal, he was parked on a random street outside, with no way for us to know where to find him. To make matters worse, my phone had died. Thankfully, my husband had spoken with Masha earlier that day and was able to reach out again, though she still did not respond until the following day. When she finally did contact me on WhatsApp, she claimed she avoided messaging because it “wasn’t private.” The entire experience left us feeling abandoned and frustrated. While our guides and driver were excellent, Masha’s handling of the tour was unprofessional, dishonest, and unacceptable. I fully intend to share this experience online. For reference, the company is Not Just a Tourist.
Excellent value and spot on tour guide and drivers. Good guidance from operators interesting tast of Morocco
This was an amazing tour! We had two guides on this tour. Our driver Fernando was so kind and helpful. He picked us up as close to the hotel as he could since we were in a no traffic zone. Then drove us safely to the port. He then walked us into the ferry port and made sure the counter had our ferry tickets before saying goodbye. In Tangier we were met by Ashran. He was an amazing tour guide. He Took us to see Tangier as only a local can. We were driven around in a nice car to all the different parts of the city. Once back to the port in Tarifa Fernando was waiting for us to drive us home. He actually went out of his way to find us a great view point of the Rock of Gibraltar to be able to take pictures. He was the nicest guy. We really appreciated all his efforts to make our day great.
This tour is expensive but for a few good reasons. You have a private bus driver request Mr. Fernandez Bautista - he's brilliant) to get you to the ferry and to pick you up. You then have a private tour guide when you arrive to Tangier, and then a private ride around Tangier. My wife and I were nervous about the trip to Morocco as a whole because of all the reviews we read and our experience was very positive as first time visitors. We will return to Morocco and use Not Just a Tourist's company again. You get to see all the major parts of Tangier with an absolute expert. We rode the camels, saw the caves, and saw different parts of Morocco than what we expected. Our tour guide Abderrahmane Alami Taidi (Alami) made our trip into town feel better - he was able to introduce us to the top coffee shops, foods, and places for shopping while discussing the history of the place. He also made us feel more comfortable with going in and out of shops. Overall, the attention to details and layout of the day is exceptional, and worth the money especially if you are a first time visitor.
Daniel Fernando was a wonderful driver. He was on-time and easy to contact. The drive through Spain was a smooth one, and getting through customs and over to Africa was actually quite simple with instructions provided by the company. Once in Tangier, Abdul was a fantastic guide. Not only did he keep us on-track, but he also made sure to show us all kinds wonderful sights in Morocco.
We had a truly amazing experience! We were well taken care of, and saw a number of beautiful sights in Spain and Morocco. We were a little worried about getting through customs and making our way to Africa, but again, the whole team made it a breeze.
What an incredible day in Tangiers! This was a very memorable excursion. Our driver from Sevilla to Tarifa, Daniel, was so warm and kind. He made certain that we knew exactly where to go upon arrival at the ferry terminal and was very communicative. Our guide in Tangiers, Abdul was so awesome. We arrived on a big national holiday, so some of the activities were limited or closed, but we loved having the streets to ourselves in the morning. Abdul looked out for us and made sure we had everything we needed. His information about the city and history was enlightening and vivid. It felt like touring with an unrivaled expert. The drive from Sevilla to Tarifa is about 2.5 hours, so this really is a long day. But we got back to Sevilla just in time for a great late tapas meal. Highly recommended.
Trip was wonderful. I was able to see and experience everything I wanted, and Joan and Abderrahmane are absolutely the best. Highly recommended!
This tour was excellent. I would definitely recommend it. The driver down to the ferry port in Tarifa was friendly, courteous and efficient. The tour operator sent us instructions ahead of time on how to navigate successfully the ferry system, and the local tour guide in Tangiers was true professional. His English was excellent, and he really knew the ins and outs of Tangiers.
This was an excellent tour. The driver down to the port was friendly, courteous and efficient. The ferry crossing is a little tricky with certain details that need to paid close attention to, but the tour operator sent and email a few days in advance explaining the necessary steps and the pitfalls to avoid. The local tour guide in Tangiers was truly a pro. He spoke good English and new all the ins and outs of Tangiers. We paid a supplement to the tour operator get a private tour instead of a small group. I would recommend this option because it provides the flexibility to stop at individual shops and take more time at your leisure. All in all, it was an excellent experience.
Our day trip to Tangier was very well organized. Our driver Daniel was top notch and did a good job keeping in touch regarding our return time. Our guide Asid in Morocco was very knowledgeable and showed us many areas of the city and surrounding area. One suggestion for future travelers is to ask for more time in the Medina to explore and to skip the pre-planned stops in some of the shops that appear to be affiliated with the tour company. The restaurant Asid took us to for lunch was very good with great flavors and no upset stomachs later.
This was a great small group experience. We were two couples. Tangier is very beautiful and our guide, who grew up there, was able to give us tons of insights into the history and culture. I would recommend this trip.
Amazing experience in Tangiers with an awesome local tour guide - Abdul Rachmon. Very thorough with his knowledge of local Moroccan and Tangier history, and very proud of his home city! Very focused on giving us a local vier of the culture. Would highly recommend!
Amazing experience! If you are able to fit this into your vacation time DO IT! It was arranged so well. Everything is seamless and easy from beginning to end!
Perfect Day. We paid extra and had a private tour to Tangiers. Our family of 4 was picked up at our accommodations at 6 in the morning. There was a 2:30 min. driver to Tarifa. Took a 1 hour ferry over to Tangier. Seamlessly met our guide in Tangier. We had a driver and a guide. The guide was amazing. His name is Sarhan, he grew up in the community of Casbah and had such an easy way about him. I would ask specifically for him, I cannot imagine anyone better. We toured Casbah, the markets and had an authentic lunch, which was fantastic and included....also, bought a Moroccan Rug...not in the plans, but will be a great family memory. We saw a snake charmer, had pictures with a monkey and parrot, etc. The tour continued to caves, a light house and we opted for a walk on the beach vs. a camel ride on the beach. That decision worked best for us, but I can see how those with little ones would love the camel ride. We had other stops in between, but can't remember exactly what they were, but all was well done. Then, back to the ferry for a ride to Tarif and van ride home. We got home around 10:30. I would highly recommend Not Just a Tourist. The communication can be slow at times, but they got the job done in a big way. They are a small company and do not always respond in a timely manner. Just be patient with them, it was worth it. Of note: We had a perfect weather day, 70 degrees and virtually no wind on the Strait of Gibraltor. The guide told us that the week before, the ferry only operated one day out of the 7 because of weather. You might want to have a back up plan for the day if you happen to be scheduled on a bad weather day when the ferry does not operate. For reference, we traveled on March 27th.
Very long day but well organized and the tour guides were great. Felt very safe and taken care of the whole time
Be prepared for a long day with a lot of walking and the ferry sometimes gets canceled due to weather. Otherwise it was an awesome experience, fun and informative. Our guide, Omar, made the whole experience so memorable with his fun personality and humor. 10/10
This trip was amazing. We went with Grandmother, Daughter and Grand Daughters together. Ana planned our trip and made it so personal to us to the detail. Fernando was our driver and was so courteous and helpful. Thank you for such a wonderful trip. We will never forget it.
A unique experience and a really cool day out to Tangier. Not Just a Tourist took care of all the logistics making it a seamless trip between continents. The day stated early with Dani picking us up for a 2 hour trip to the port in Torifa. He was really nice and friendly and let us catch up on some sleep on the drive down. Once in Torifa he explained the boat procedure and sent us on our way to the ferry terminal. Not Just a Tourist took care of all the ferri bookings, we just gave a confirmation code and we were on our way. Remember to get your passport stamped on the boat while sailing or you will have to go back onboard to do it Once landed, we met our guide Mohcine and our driver Yasim who were fantastic. Mohcine was a delight the whole time and made us feel like locals with stories and introducing us to other locals. We added the optional camel ride which was good fun. Lunch was also included and was delicious, and the fruit was so tasty. Much better than back home. We left Mohcine for the 7pm ferry where we met Dani again to drive back to Sevilla. Overall a fantastic day and a credit to all those involved in making our day special.
We did a day trip to Tangier and our guide for the day was Mohcine. We were so grateful for his hard work, passion, patience, and great information about Tangier and Morocco throughout our tour. This experience made us eager to return to Morocco and learn even more! He went above and beyond to make our day in Tangier truly amazing! We also had a great experience booking with Masha, and with our wonderful driver Mohammed. I would very highly recommend working with Not Just a Tourist! Can't wait for our next trip! :) PS: For anyone who might be hesitant given the expense of the tour for one day, as we were initially, this is so completely worth it! The help with scheduling the ferry, with escorting us through the whole day, and the wonderful lunch experience made this absolutely worth it, and we would do this tour again in a heartbeat! Thank you so much for a wonderful and truly memorable experience!
Not Just a Tourist had phenomenal communication and beautifully arranged a very complicated day trip. They provided step by step information to guide us through the whole process. Everything went very smoothly with the logistics. Our tour guide in Tangier, Abdel, was incredible. His knowledge of the area’s history was very interesting and well presented. He tailored our day to our needs perfectly. I cannot say enough good about this trip. Highly recommended!
Our tin with Omar in Tangier was amazing! Great tour guide and very accommodating. Muhammad, our driver, was excellent as well. I highly recommend the camel ride on the beach. It was a highlight for us. The ferry ride is about an hour long. On the way back to Tarifa, the crowd is not organized at all, so be ready for some chaos. All in all, an amazing day! You’ll love it.
