Seville: Sherry Wine Tasting Experience

The Sherry guide was so knowledgeable and imparted the information in a very relaxed style. The Sherry and accompaniments were all really nice too.

This is a fantastic experience! Antonio is very knowledge on sherrys and makes the experience very personable. Loved every minute of it and learned so much. Great food pairings as well.

Lovely location, elegant. Nice small group and good set up to make it easy to chat to other people. It was interesting and a good balance of information, tasting and nibbles to complement the sherry. The 90 minutes flew by! Would recommend.

Very interesting. The guide was very knowledgeable, but spoke very quickly. I sat at the end of the table and couldn’t see much of the display monitor.

We enjoyed learning about the different types of sherry wines, the grapes, the process in making the wines, the different regions that produce sherry, and the food pairings with the different tastes.

Incredibly informative tasting that really helped me develop a better understanding of sherry. Also very helpful in knowing how to best drink it.

Israel was passionate about the subject and led a fantastic sherry wine tasting as an external provider at our hotel in central Seville. Sadly the acoustics in the room made it difficult but not impossible. Not Israel’s problem - the problem was the room. We all learned a lot and were taken on a journey through sherry production of different types - great experience.

The host had an exceptional knowledge of sherry and its production. Very interesting and informative. Good quantity of sampling and great pairing of olives, cheese etc. Very well worth doing.

They cancelled the event but continued to advertise it as available on multiple platforms.

Our host Fabio was extremely knowledgeable about the Sherry making process and the types of sherry we were tasting. He paired them with some meats, olives and cheese.

We booked the sherry tasting experience for an advertised 4pm Saturday in mid March...Seville is very busy at this time with tens of thousands of people about the city, BUT, two days before, we got a Whatsapp asking us to change our booking to a Sangria tasting...no thanks, I asked for sherry #? so we cancelled, didn't even get a reply. Try someone reliable if you can. Just sayin!

Antonio was a great host - enthusiastic, friendly and engaging. We learned a lot about sherry and enjoyed tasting 5 different ones. I would recommend this activity.

Even as wine lovers, we knew very little about sherry. It is not a wine that we purchased other than occasionally for a specific dish we were serving… Our relative ignorance went away today thanks to Antonio, who was absolutely fabulous. The first-rate education that accompanied the five different types of sherry he poured for us (with olives, meat and cheese) helped us to more fully appreciate sherry as a fortified wine and be more adventuresome with it going forward. We also enjoyed meeting people from different parts of the world. It was just a memorable and really wonderful experience that we would highly recommend to anyone curious about sherry.

His classroom is well appointed and allowed the attendees to chat and get to know each other. I’d definitely recommend this experience to friends.

We had a really fun and enlightening visit. Before attending we didn't really understand much about the sherry-making process, or about any of the differences between the different types of sherry. Our host made the experience a really relaxing and enjoyable experience, and we now know a lot more about sherry than we did before we attended. We also know more about how to look after the different types of sherry, when and where to serve them and with what types of food. A really great visit!

Antonio was a great host and was so enthusiastic about the whole sherry making and tasting process. We had a great time and feel a whole new world of sherry has been opened up.

Unfortunately, the Sherry winetasting was not available on the day we were in Seville and therefore we were offered the sangria wine tasting instead. Our host was very knowledgeable about the different sangrias we tasted and all recipes were provided to us. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon, meeting new people and spending a few hours away from the busy tourist attractions

We are serious wine drinkers and wanted to learn about sherry wine: We signed up for this tasting as an introduction before visiting a bodega in Lebrija. We were very satisfied and in fact surprised with the high level of this tasting we received from Antonio. To be honest, the additional services advertised after we had booked - like infused olive oils or ice cream - slashed our expectations. But this was the best and most thorough tasting we have ever attended. We learned so much! About the sherry triangle (Palomino triangle), about oxidizing sherry wine, about different types of sherry. We went into details like the climatic effects of the ocean on manzanilla vs. fino. Our host has interesting backgrounds, a geographer among others, and he is a very good lecturer. Do not expect just to come and drink and learn nothing. This is a rigorous 2-hour class; Antonio prefaces it with saying: “If you want to drink wine, you must first learn about what you drink.” The venue is not a restaurant — it is s small cozy room, well equipped for this kind of events. Wines are served at different temperatures (!), small bites are also provided, all very delicious. There is a restroom on site. Wines are also available for purchase at fair prices, and of course we bought some. Thank you, Antonio, for a memorable tasting! We will recommend to anybody visiting Sevilla.

This was a very in-depth, fun, and a even educational experience about how Sherry is made, how to taste it, when to drink it. Antonio is clearly an expert and the experience in his tasting room gives you time to chat with the other travelers and nibble on some basic snacks that pair with Sherry. It's easy to find, fun, and you'll probably even have a solid buzz when you leave after an hour and a half or more of chatting with new friends. Highly recommend

Wow what a great afternoon my wife and I had at the tasting experience. Antonio was exceptionally knowledgeable about all things Sherry and my wife particularly enjoyed the writing element on the whiteboard which he used to get his information across . The Sherrie’s which Antionio chose for us were a Excellent choices to highlight the depth of taste, colours and flavour on the different varieties of Sherry and.also 5 glasses and olives and salami to pair with them represented great value for money. All in all a great experience and would highly recommence Antonia and the rest of the staff for their friendliness and professionalism,

I thought I knew sherry until this tasting! Our host was incredibly knowledgeable and brought each wine to life with stories and insight. I never imagined sherry could be so complex and fascinating. A delightful experience I’d absolutely recommend!

The selection of wines was outstanding, each one introduced with clear, engaging explanations full of passion. We learned about the history, the production processes, and the unique characteristics of each type of Sherry, from the driest to the sweetest. The tasting was perfectly paired with small bites that enhanced the flavors of each wine even further. You can feel the love and deep knowledge behind every detail. Antonio is a super knowledgeable host. The wine and appetizers were served in copious amounts. A fabulous value for the money. The entrance location was a bit confusing, but it worked out in the end, and we’re super happy we attended this experience.

We found it very hard to find the venue. The address and joining instructions were poor. Once we got there we really enjoyed the experience and would not hesitate to recommend it.

This tour surpassed my expectations! Antonio was super knowledgeable about sherry wines as well as the geography of Andalucía. We first learned how sherry is made and the effects that geography and different conditions have on it! Then we got to try 5 different sherrys! Generous amounts of wine especially for the low price! I also got to meet people from all over the world: England, Portugal, and Poland! Such a unique experience. 10/10 Thank you Antonio!!!!
