Our guide, Emilio was great and shared a lot of historical knowledge of Italica and the monestary.

Itinerary
This is a guided tour of Italica, the first Roman city founded in the Iberian peninsula and the birthplace of the Emperors Trajan and Hadrian. The main building on this archaeological site is the amphitheatre, the third largest in the world with a capacity for 25,000 spectators. Italica is also well known by its mosaics and 'domus'. Then, visit 'San Isidoro del Campo' - a restored Medieval fortress monastery, all by minivan (optional). Episodes from the Game of Thrones television series were filmed in and around the Roman ruins of Itálica. Most of it, the Roman amphitheater was the setting of the Dragonpit, where several key characters held a summit in season seven.

Our tour was on a very hot day with a knowledgeable and intuitive guide. Pia, was sensitive to the pace and needs of the group. The information was delivered in a tailored manner and there was plenty on opportunity to ask additional questions. Her passion and pride in her heritage as well as the history of her people was evident throughout. We couldn’t have asked for a more informed, fun and warm guide. Thank you!
This tour was absolutely fabulous. Our guide Jesus was very knowledgeable and funny. He explained everything in a way that captivated the whole group. Very good tour. I would highly recommend to anyone who likes to learn about the Roman way of life and ruins. Big bonus for Game Of Thrones fans too.
This truly is a must if traveling to Seville, even if you've already toured Rome's Colosseum! Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and also kept the tour moving along which was particularly helpful for our younger children. Our family tends to fly solo, but we found the (very reasonable) investment in a guide to be especially worth it here because signage is still fairly limited, and she offered so much historical context.
Miguel was a great tour guide and extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history of this often overlooked sight. If you appreciate the history of Rome then this is a definite must see. Also this tour lets you go and visit the monastery where the first Spanish translation of the Bible was written which adds to the significant historical experience this tour offers.
Booked this through Tripadvisor recommendations as there are plenty to choose from. Very good guide and a very good trip. Wish I had re-watched Game of Thrones before we went so I could picture the exact scene. Not that it would make a great deal of difference as, in my opinion, is an unnecessary, tenuous link anyway. I must admit that I got very confused over what parts were genuine and which (bricks, stone structure) were replicas. Our trip also included a guided tour around the monastry which was also interesting. Was not sure of the depiction of the 'black' Jesus was real of just grim though! Trip only spoilt by rude Americans barging their way about and breaking the unwritten rule of coach trips in sitting in the same seats and not rushing in to get better ones.
Emilio was a great guide and very fun to talk to! Highly recommend this if you are into roman history and game of thrones!!
Fascinating visit to the Roman ruins at Italica, our guide Juanra was very informative and took time to answer questions....also had a good sense of humor. We found our walk through history so interesting and to witness the remains of private houses brought it back to life. The site is still undergoing exaction too. Would highly recommend if your visiting Seville.
jesus was very insightful and welcoming with a hint of comedy! very nice guy ! Deserves a pay rise! Very knowledgeable on ancient Rome
We enjoyed this tour. Did the tour in November Highly recommend. our english speaking guide Nieves is highly knowledgeable and funny….
Jésus our English speaking tour guide was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and kept our interest through humour etc. Would definitely recommend going out to see the beautiful city of Italica ! There is lots to learn. And thank you to our wonderful tour guide.
Alberto, our English speaking tour guide was amazing. His knowledge of Italica and Monastery were second to none. Even my 9yr old daughter stayed engaged.
The sites were amazing and full of cultural history. The tour guide, Alberto, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the trip and information, which made the tour even better.
Alberto was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was also able to simplify the information provided. The sights were well preserved to the best of abilities, and the mosaics were brilliant artworks.
When this was sold to us it was titled “ Game if thrones filming locations Italica Seville”. Description said See filming locations in the Seville area during this Game of Thrones tour • A guide tells you behind-the-scenes facts about the hit TV show • Visit one of the largest amphitheaters in the world in Italica • Beat the heat in an air-conditioned coach with bottled water provided Combine Roman history with Game of Thrones facts during this tour to Italica near Seville's center. Learn about the Roman emperors born in the city long ago, and see filming locations from GOT, the hit HBO TV show. A guide tells you all about the areas of the city the show used while filming its seventh season, If you are a GOT fan DONT waste your money! You are taken to Itálica lumped with other people who have no interest in GOT and told nothing. We have done the GOT tour in Dubrovnik and it was fantastic. This was a waste of our time! Trying to get a refund but havnt received anything yet! How they can even say filming location “plural” is a joke. You go to italicia nothing about GOT and then a monestry where it wasnt even filmed!!!!!
We had 2 tours with the company. Tour guides were great and knowledge, especially Grecia who walked us through Italica.
Tour started 1/2 late. We were charged full entrance fee which was stated as included in tour fee. Dual language tour not as stated. Guide had good knowledge of Italica and spent the required time to inform both groups and answered all questions but no information about Game of Thrones sets or production other then phone pictures from internet. Which was the title of the tour.
Nieves was very knowledgeable. While some information was available on posters she added an important overview of Italica which explained the areas and their purposes rather than focus on individual properties alone so we had a greater understanding at the end.
As a GOT fan, I can't tell you how much we looked forward to this tour. The reason for the 2 stars falls solely on the tour guide. First, he arrived late, then he sped through the ruins while on his phone. He acted bothered when we asked questions because he had to get off his phone & it slowed him down. Some questions he dismissed completely & kept going. Finally he pointed us towards the Amphitheater arena & left. We learned close to nothing. The Amphitheater arena is a must for any GOT fan & worth the visit. I have always been happy with Viator tours. I am sure I would have given this tour 5 stars if we had had a better tour guide.
My friend and I took the half-day tour to itálica from Seville with Patricia and Adrian. We really enjoyed the tour and it had more than we expected! We visited the old Roman town of itálica and learned about the history. Patricia led the English speaking group and was exceptionally knowledgeable about the history. She explained everything very clearly and was able to answer all questions. She went at a good pace. We visited the amphitheater where she also gave us a little history of the popular TV show Game of Thrones. Finally we visited an old monastery that was recently restored and got to see different stages of restoration and learn about some catholic history. In the tour we stopped at a little bar and were all given some sweet wine made of raisins and a manchego cheese tapas which were both delicious. The tour lasted from 9:45 ( they pick you up from a spot close to where you’re staying) and it ended at around 2pm. Itálica is very close to Seville and was a short drive. It was perfect to do prior to my evening flight. Another great perk to mention is that we left our suitcases with the tour office since we had checked out of our Airbnb. Worth the money and good about time! Would recommend this tour! Especially Patricia.
The place steals all the attention; I wish more resources were allocated to restoring the heritage. I didn't have much luck with the guide; she seemed a bit overwhelmed, perhaps. There are plenty of shaded areas to stop at during the tour, but if you go in the summer, keep in mind that the sun and heat can make the tour a bit difficult. It is very easy to go and return by bus from Seville.
Fantastic experience for two reasons the first and definitely immerse yourself in a place although nn very extensive but full of charm and curiosity 'the second reason and Jesus our guide who in addition to competence and passion expresses a sympathy and a way of doing that involves you !! Jesus and the number one!
Guide Nacho very well knows a lot about history made everything very enjoyable. The city is very nice and looks like they lived anciently
We were accompanied by a Catherine guide. Our experience was very satisfying. Catherine accompanied us with clear and interesting explanations. We recommend this experience.
Tour very well organized, our guide was Rebecca, very good and considerate, including historical notes, curiosity and advice.
We visited Italica + Monastery next to Seville, it was a great time, very well organized and we had a great guide Nieves! Thank you very much!!
I want to make a warning to future travelers about this tour, before you buy it, know what they don't tell you before: 1) the location of the meeting point and the tour is outside of Seville, another city, more or less like São Paulo/San Bernardo. 2) Naturanda does not take you from Seville there. You will spend more or less 25 euros by taxi to get to the meeting point.3) the address provided, which is Avenida Extremadura n. 2, Santipoince, Seville does not exist. This is a deserted place where there is only one Toyota vehicle seller. So the location is not accurate. My family and I did not find the place, although we tried to get in told by the channels informed in the voucher. Nobody answered us in time. We had to borrow the cost of the taxi to go and return from there, frustrated for not making the ride we would have done. However, neither the booking platform, of which I am a client genius 3, nor the tourism company Naturanda compassioned our problem, much less wanted to return us the high cost of the unrealized tour. Therefore, be careful before buying. Could be a hole!
An impressive archaeological park, it is a spectacular place. We were lucky to enjoy the explanations of a magnificent guide, Alberto, from Naturanda.
Thank you to the guide Nieves who was very kind and speaks very good French. She showed us everything in great detail. Thank you very much, Nieves.
Cliqué para el Domingo y me dieron la cita para el Sábado y al no darme cuenta, perdí los 39€ y no pude hacer la visita guiada.
We had Mari Paz as our guide, very nice and explained everything very well, the site is beautiful and extensive, you spend about two hours seeing the place.
Essential excursion if you pass through Seville. The guide Nieves had an excellent treatment. I would certainly repeat
We have made the route with Jesus. And we have enjoyed a lot, despite having made a morning of rain and air. Jesus has been very funny and instructive in all the explanations. Our congratulations to him. I totally recommend taking the guided tour, as it is not the same to see stones to be explained
Muy buena experiencia, los guías son muy buenos y la parte del anfiteatro es increíble si eres fan de Juego de Tronos.
The tour of the ruins and view of the mosaics of the houses the city of Italica. Excellent guide Miguel, who extended everything he could and explained wonderfully well. A 10 for Miguel, I have already recommended my colleagues to try him when they go to visit.
