Seville Small Group Tour: Alcazar, Cathedral & Giralda Options

Very misleading tour title. I booked this trip especially for the Alcazar .. The guide was experienced & very knowledgeable. But it was a waste in terms of money as had already done the Seville cathedral & just wanted to do the Alcazar.. Anyhow lesson learnt Never trust the title always confirm the trip details although must admit that the trip details did specifically mention the Alcazar so clearly a misleading information so disappointed with Tripadvisor & would make this a complaint ..

There is so much to see ,you can't see it all. Definitely get a guided tour. The Giralda Tower isent really worth the trek. The whole history is fascinating. The building itself is spectacular. The art and artifacts are amazing

Great tour guide but misleading booking experience. Alba was professional and very informative. Disappointed as we were unable to visit Alcázar despite the tour being named and the confirmed Itinerary and what to expect included Alcázar.There was no option given to select. 8 people on our tour faced the same issue.

Abraham was our guide. He gave us a wonderful tour that was so detailed and thorough! At no time did we feel rushed. He answered everyone’s questions and was easy to understand.

Our guide Alba was amazing and very informative. Only disappointing piece is the verbiage on this tour is deceptive. If you aren’t provided the Alcazar specific option when booking, only cathedral and tower, you will not be permitted access to the Alcazar despite the tour being named that. We found this out the hard way. Otherwise the tour of the cathedral and tower were great.

The small group tour was cancelled the evening before and we were offered the large group. There was no other option to visit the cathedral so we had to take it. We are still awaiting the partial refund for the price difference of the two tours. Nowhere did it say that shoulders had to be covered either so I had to buy a scarf at the cathedral for 3€. I would have worn a T-shirt if I’d have known that requirement. On the plus side, Ishmael, our guide, was brilliant! He was very entertaining and informative. He is quite a character.

Ivan was an incredible guide. He was very funny, helpful and the information provided was adequate and interesting!

We had the great luck of having Salvafore guide us for the Seville Small Group Tour: Alcazar, Cathedral & Giralda. He was absolutely superb. His knowledge was mind-boggling, and added to his great sense of humor, he was by the far the best guide we have ever had on our extensive travels over the years. I wish we could take him everywhere with us! Thank you Salvatore so much for helping us understand and truly appreciate the hundreds of years of Spanish history encapsulated in Seville.

Please be aware that what you book is not necessarily what you receive. We booked the three attractions but only received one. When queried the tour operator advised we did not select the correct options even though there were no options to select. We had a confirmed itinerary showing all three attractions but this was not honoured. Very, very disappointed as we missed the Cathedral and Giraldi. Tour operator was not interested.

We booked the cathedral tour with the tower. Unfortunately spending over half hour getting ready at the store and followed our guide to the cathedral, we were told that there were no tickets for us. We waited outside the cathedral for a half hour while the freelance guide tried to figure out what was going on. The company’s excuse was the cathedral has changed the ticket rules. There was a very stupid excuse. You are a tour operator, you should know if the rules changed. They knew they did have the tickets but still selling the tour. The refund process at the store was very very slow. Overall we lost over 2 hours of valuable time, plus all the stress to get tickets for the day as It was last day in Seville. My advice is to avoid booking any tours with this company. From what I read from other views, this was not isolated case, except you liked to go through our experience.

We were asked to use the audio guide as they did not have enough people for the tour and then we had a private tour (which was quite average) where we were rushed to finish everything in 1 hour and 15 minutes for $292 for 2 it was way overpriced

Thoroughly disappointed with this company. After spending a considerable amount of time researching different tour options, I chose this one and paid extra expecting a higher-quality, reliable experience. Five days after booking, I was informed that the tour could no longer go ahead because tickets for the Alcázar were unavailable. This simply isn’t acceptable. Had I been notified sooner, I would have had the chance to secure tickets myself or book an alternative tour; both of which were still available at the time of booking. The delay meant I lost those options entirely. As a result, we are now unable to visit the Alcázar during our trip to Seville, which is incredibly disappointing and has had a real impact on our plans. I would not recommend booking with this company based on this experience.

Our tour was cancelled less than 48 hours before it was scheduled, with no explanation provided. Despite having my cell phone number, Naturanda notified me by email, which went into my Spam folder. After trying 4 different phone numbers, we finally reached someone at Naturanda. He had no explanation for the cancellation and indicated that someone would send us an email explanation, which never happened. When we asked further questions, he hung up on us. A refund was only received after several emails and WhatsApp messages were sent to Naturanda. Totally unprofessional and unreliable tour company.

This tour lasted nearly 4 hours and was very informative and well organised. Emilio, our guide was highly knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and had a great sense of humour making all aspects of the afternoon engaging. An excellent start to our Seville adventure.

While the tour was great, we were misinformed. The Cathedral and Giralda were not included. I thought that’s what I purchased in advance, and it was even confirmed in email and text confirmations to follow. Be sure you read the full description and fine print. In addition, we booked a small group/private tour, but the night before the tour I received a call saying that the time had changed (45 min earlier) and that it would NOT be a small/private tour. We were clearly funneled into a large group tour. But no discount was extended. This experience, as well as a mediocre tour of the Segrada in Barcelona, also booked through Viator on this trip, leave me hesitant to book tours through them in the future.

The tour was great. Our guide Emilio was highly knowledgeable and we had an awesome experience. Would highly recommend!

Great way to experience these sights in Sevilla. Our knowledgeable and friendly guide, Laura, provided us with so much information and insight, it was much nicer than just wandering around by ourselves.

Because it was very hot, the tour of more than three hours was exhausting, but it was absolutely worth it! Our guide, Emilio, was very knowledgeable and enthousiastic, really taking us along in the history of Sevilla and its architecture. Climbing Giralda was less of a challenge than we expected, because of the ramps. Catedral and Alcázar were simply amazing!

EMILIO. The visit to the Mosque/Cathedral, the Giralda tower and the Real Alcazar would have been long and boring if we did not have a guide as good as Emilio. He is very knowledgeable. He knows the facts. He engaged the participants in sharing what we know about the history of the place, pointed out details in the architecture of the place, shared some trivial facts, making jokes, showing "shooting locations" in Game of Thrones, showing photos from his tablet. Such interactions made our otherwise "usual tour" into something special and time passed without us noticing it. Bravo Emilio! Kudos to Naturanda for having a guide like you! PS. I was not able to take as much picture as I was totally in awe of the place while Emilio explained details and history.

It was a great experience and the explanations that José Luis gave us about the history of the Cathedral and the Giralda of Seville were very clear.

It only includes the cathedral and the Giralda. The guide was very good, but we booked it in a misleading way thinking it included the Alcazar and that was not the case.

In my case, I had reserved the visit to the Alcázar of Seville in a small group. The reduction turned out to be a tour with 20 people, when their website indicates that it would be a maximum of 12. We were summoned at a time in front of one of the company's offices. When the time arrived, I, along with other people who were also going to take the tour, saw a group entering the office who had just completed another tour and were leaving again shortly after. At that moment, we asked about our guide and were told that it was that girl, so we had to run after the group to catch up with them. At no point did the guide take attendance before starting. After this, and once we were integrated into the large group, the guide was surprised that we were so many people and said that she did not have headsets for everyone (this is basic math; if you have 20 tickets, you need 20 devices, it is not very complicated to know). She offered us 1 headset for 6 people, so we all chose to decline it because it did not seem normal to us. This forced us to do the visit without the listening device and to have to stay close to the guide if we wanted to understand the explanations of the visit. To no one's surprise, I did not understand a good part of the explanations (considering the number of people visiting the building at the same time). Finally, we completed a visit of just under 1 hour, which I believe is insufficient time for a building like the Alcázar. Although the explanations from the guide, Ana, were correct, they did not overshadow the other mistakes, which even led me to cancel another tour that same day conducted by the same company, preferring to lose my money rather than my time once again.

It has been a truly great visit, especially because of the guide, Jose Luis. He knows a lot and has made the tour very enjoyable; it felt short... it could have lasted all day and you wouldn't even notice.

The idea of being able to visit in one experience the Real Alcázar de Sevilla, the Giralda and the Cathedral of Seville is undoubtedly very attractive and practical. However, our experience did not live up to expectations. The visit lasted more than three hours and the guide demonstrated a fairly limited knowledge. On several occasions, when asked questions by the group, the answer was simply “I don’t know”. The explanation was extensive but unenriching, with vague information and a superficial level in both history and art. It is a shame, because the places are really spectacular and totally worth the visit. However, we believe that the experience would have been better using an audio guide or touring them on their own.

We did the tour of the Alcazar, the Cathedral and the Giralda in a small group and it was an excellent experience. Our guide, Álvaro, was fantastic: very friendly, dynamic and with a deep knowledge of the history and details of each place. It explains everything very clearly and entertainingly, which makes the tour very enjoyable and easy to follow. In addition, he was very close with the group and always willing to answer questions. Thanks to him we understood much better the history and importance of these emblematic places of Seville. We highly recommend it!

An excellent experience with our guide Emilio. We were lucky enough to visit with him the Alcázar de Sevilla, the Cathedral and the Giralda, and we could not have chosen better. I would especially highlight his close and professional treatment, in addition to the great wisdom and knowledge he conveys in each explanation. We spent an entertaining morning thanks to our fantastic guide Julian. Despite being a tour with a lot of content to visit, we were very pleased with Julian’s explanations and jokes. You can see that he really likes his work and at all times he was very careful so that we could all be as comfortable as possible. The visit to the Royal Alcazar of Seville as well as the Cathedral and the Giralda have been perfect both for the duration and the very high level content. Ivan, our guide spared no information being the same given in a pleasant and professional way, a special recognition for him.

Great work from Julian. More than 4 hours explaining in depth each of the sites we visit. He did it dynamically and enthusiastically. It gives great added value to the experience.

I consider the experience an essential tour to know the history of the main monuments of Seville. Carmen, our guide was very accessible, entertaining and fun as well as offering lots of relevant historical information and anecdotes of many of the places toured.

We traveled 5 friends and opted for this tour to visit these emblematic monuments and immerse ourselves in the history of Seville. The schedule was at 11.00am, we were 15 min earlier there, but it was chaos the start of the route. Note that the meeting point is in a very narrow street, that they had to hand out headphones for several groups, and with the passage of more people along the street it was quite uncomfortable. Nacho was our guide, passionate about history, perhaps delayed too long in explaining, which meant that we had to go later too fast in visits. It's a long visit, because buildings give for that and for more. In my opinion, to be able to enjoy these monuments more, I advise not to make in the same visit Cathedral and Alcázar.

My guide was Mari Paz and I loved her way of explaining everything, the way of being attentive to people and her sympathy, you can see that she likes her work. Very advisable the experience and congratulations Mari Paz.

We toured the three places with the exquisite explanation of Julian. Excellent guide with solid knowledge of the history of the place. We were left alone that day, and although it was tiresome, because it lasted about 5 hours and was very hot, it really was worth it.

Guide V did not control at all what he had to explain. Disjointed and sometimes incorrect information. It was a pity to visit the Alcazar and the cathedral in this way, we had never happened before on a tour...
