Sangria Tasting Experience

Unfortunately we had a bad experience. The tour operator needed us to change the time, two hours later. After several requests we conceded. We were asked to show up 10 minutes early, and then waited for our tour operator for 20 minutes. Once we were escorted to the rooftop we waited another 20 minutes for our first Sangria tasting. Then another 30 minutes for our second tasting. There was still two more tastings left. We asked for them to please speed this along since we had very early morning plans, but after 15 more minutes we decided to leave. We were there almost 90 minutes and the tasting was only half way through. Also, they never brought out any cheese as the tour described only some olives. I don't blame the actual server, she seemed to have a lot of parties to attend to and she was only one person. I regret this tour it was a waste of our money since we were unable to stay and they took so incredibly long.

Great location for sipping sangria - we enjoyed a gorgeous autumnal sunset with gorgeous views across the river. We had a lovely couple of hours learning a little more about 4 different sangrias and how they are made and some historical context to them... loved the final sangria - very unusual! We also enjoyed some local Manchego cheese and olive tapas too. Would definitely recommend on a short trip to Seville.

This sangria tasting was very fun! I enjoyed learning about the history of sangria and how some of the more modern takes on sangria came to be. The sangrias themselves were also very good. The tasting takes place on a rooftop overlooking the river, and the 7:30 tasting was perfect because not only did we get to enjoy the sangrias and learn more about them, but we got to watch a beautiful sunset from above the city!

Our host Eyrian was absolutely lovely, really funny and friendly. The value for money on the sangria tasting was exceptional, 4 different sangrias; sherry, white, red and sparkling rose. Each with their own historical background. The tour takes place on a rooftops with views of the Cathedral and over the river, simply stunning. My partner and I absolutely loved this tour and would highly recommend it.

The rooftop setting was beautiful, with amazing city views, and tasting the different sangrias was a great way to discover local flavors. The olives and cheese were the perfect addition, making it a memorable and enjoyable experience.

We arrived at the meeting point 6 minutes late as it was really hard to find. The tour operator weren’t there and wouldn’t answer the phones. We lost our money and Viator refused to support a refund. I feel so ripped off!!!

Our Guide was very good. She was very knowledgeable about the subject. The problem is is there were six people in the group and we weren’t all sitting together which made it difficult to have a conversation and left two people out. Next time we suggest that the tables are put together in a way that everybody can join into the conversation.

Really lovely afternoon with Fabio, such a nice and knowledgeable guy. We loved trying all the different sangrias of Seville. Thank you!

This was a great sangria tour, and we got to taste different types, and we enjoyed all of the options. The guide was also great, and very insightful into the sangria types we sampled. We’d definitely recommend this tour and add the extra refills if possible, as the rooftop bar where this took place was great to see the city and watch the sunset!

The Sangria tasting experience was incredible! The views alone made the experience magical. On top of that we got to have 4 glasses of different sangrias and it was the perfect afternoon. Our guide Fabio was so gracious and knowledgeable - he told us about the origins of the drinks and the recipes and a bit about the region. Would recommended to anyone coming to Seville - sign up for the experience. It was about 90 minutes and the rooftop had stunning views of the city, the river, and the hills.

We loved our rooftop sangria tasting (even though it was a little chilly at 730pm!) The sunset overlooking the river and night views combined with the history lesson on sangrias and how they are made plus getting to taste them all was wonderful! We opted for the appetizers and they were all yummy! Our daughter is studying in Seville for the semester and she and a good friend joined us- was a great activity to do all together! loved it!

The other reviews are correct, it is hard to find. I think I picture of the door and instructions of what button to push to call the company would be helpful! It was great and Paula was amazing!

So difficult to find the venue… We ended up missing the experience and never found the place. Organiser didn’t seem overly interested in helping us either.

This was a very informative and enjoyable experience, held in a great location overlooking the cathedral and city.

Such a great experience. My partner and I were the only two doing this experience and despite that we were treated absolutely wonderfully. The host went above and beyond for us explaining the history of sangria and the recipes. The view was next level.

100% recommend!!! The view was amazing the sangrias were tasty! Do not hesitate and book!!!I wean’t with my family for the first time and not only was the conversation good but were learned about the different sangrias, how it was made and it’s history.

Was an enjoyable and intimate wine tasting, our guide was experienced and was pleasant to talk to, the views from the rooftop were very nice. It does get chilly, so maybe bring a sweater.

Excellent host who served 4 unique drinks with good portions. Rooftop setting with beautiful views. Meeting point provided was not accurate, actual point was around the corner. No problem though because host sent a text when he did not see us.

Our host Fabio was an expert on sangria. He taught us so much on sangria variations, history and how it is made. We enjoyed time to relax, drink, eat and take in the best rooftop views in Seville during our experience.

Fabio was excellent in his explanations during the tasting. Very knowledgable. The sangria was great and the view, just magnificent. This was such a great experience for my wife and I on our trip to Seville.

The man who helped us was friendly. Beautiful view! It was a shame, though, that there was construction going on on the rooftop terrace, which didn't exactly make it look very inviting. A friend of mine had been there before and was very enthusiastic. In that sense, I was disappointed. She got 3/4 sangrias and was with the cherry tasting group and a larger group. I would have preferred that, so it was a disappointment.

Unfortunately this experience was cancelled on the day of the event after earlier confirming with the operator that it would happen. No reason given. The operator was very apologetic which was appreciated, but after walking 30mins in the Seville heat it was a very dissatisfying outcome for me and my friends. The cost was refunded but we lost around 7 euros due to the exchange rate. Not a big amount but still very annoying.

The lady that served us was lovely and gave us loads of information about the drinks and history of sangria which was interesting. It was a group of 8 of us and the people happened to be lovely and we enjoyed the experience together. Sangria itself was lovely and refreshing and some unique recipes too. The only ‘disappointment’ if you can call it that was the decor. The rooftop was not particularly decorated and had some bits and bobs lying round such as boxes and random bits. Other than that, a lovely experience, great length of time and worth doing.

We had a lovely evening. Our host was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. We had loads of lovely Sangria and the views were beautiful. We went at 7:30pm and it was nice to have the sunset.

Lucia did a great job explaining the different wines and recipes used in the sangria! We really learnt a lot and the location was gorgeous with a great view of the Torre del oro

Rooftop views and the sangria are absolute perfection! I never knew the history behind sangria, but I do now. We had a lot of fun!

Our guide was knowledgeable but the venue was horrible especially at 5:30 in Sevilla! It was outside with no circulating air, dirty floors and the shade kept moving so occasionally you were in the sun. The rooftop was probably way over 100 degrees. We couldn’t wait to go inside to use the bathrooms and we did as much as we could just to get out of the heat.

We had a wonderful experience learning about the history of Sangria & especially enjoyed the tastings.

Absolutely loved the sangría tasting! Each version had a unique twist, and the host explained the origins and ingredients with such passion. A fun, relaxed experience with delicious drinks and great company!

We enjoyed meeting new people and trying four different kinds of sangria. I would recommend this if you have a few hours free when you're in Seville

Our host had very good knowledge and gave good explanations. The testing was excellent. The only issue was the short notice change of date and time but the actual presentation was very good.

A fun experience and a nice activity to do, we had lots of fun and enjoyed very much! We loved sampling and discovering our favourite type of sangria and learning how to make it!

This class was amazing! We learned so much and enjoyed all the sangria. Lucia was very knowledgeable about everything having to do with sangria. We were sad that we were not able to use the terrace due to construction, but the vibes indoors were cozy and fun. Our only suggestion would be some quiet music for ambiance! And maybe some bread or meat in addition to the cheese and olives.

There were four rounds of drinks, each with an explanation and history of the drinks. Apparently it rains 20 days a year in Seville, and our day was one of them! This is not set up for rain, but it made for a cozy atmosphere under umbrellas.
