A fantastic experience combining food, culture, and stunning views of Seville! The rooftop setting was beautiful, the local wines and appetizers were delicious, and watching the paella and sangria preparation was a highlight.

We did the Sangria tasting and followed withe paella demo. The experience was a lot of fun. They did not skimp on rations. They gave plenty of sangria and paella. Maria, our host was knowledgeable and lots of fun!!!!!
Such a lovely experience. Extremely accommodating to all my dietary requirements. Note that you don’t actually cook yourself but nevertheless was very involved. Views were incredible of the city but the building was a bit difficult to locate. Surprise dessert was delicious!! Definitely recommend
Don’t book this experience! I couldn’t leave no stars so 1 is wat they get and that’s being kind considering the situation, I didn’t even get to experience it, the building is insanely hard to find and when I eventually did locate it with the help of lovely locals I couldn’t enter the building, the host didn’t answer my calls nor respond to my texts and so I had to leave after waiting around to try and get in - oh and they won’t refund me either so they essentially took my money and denied me entry - to say I’m disappointed is an understatement, shame on the host and Viator for such dreadful service!
On our first day in Spain I planned this cooking class. We arrived at 12:00 for our class and no one was there. It was an extremely hot day and after several messages (while sitting outside) to class and Viator we found out the instructor had us coming in the evening; however, all our documents (3) had noon or 12:00. Viator at first refused to give me a refund but when I sent them all my documents they agreed there was a mistake. We asked the teacher if we could come the following day but when we didn't hear back we just cancelled the class and booked a different cooking class with Expedia. I will not use Viator again. This made our first day in Spain an unpleasant beginning.
Very, very disappointing. It is not a cooking lesson. It is a demonstration and you sit in a chair and watch. The paella was so bad no one ate the rice. Everyone picked out the vegetables and seafood (which were not that good) and left the rice. Some of the seafood was cooked in advance of making the paella so it was bland and had none of the flavor of the spices. There is no demonstration on how to make Sangria. Instead you are given a small wine glass of Sangria with the paella.
We learned how easy paella is to make at home with simple and clear instructions with our chef, Fabio. It was a relaxed, casual evening and we enjoyed having our paella with sangria in the patio afterwards.
You don't get to do it yourself, you follow an explanation. There was also very few time on the Sangria explanation. Actually just the recipe was mentioned but we didn't do anything ourselves other than eating and drinking.
What an amazing experience! We got to experience how paella is made here in Spain and try local wines and cheeses. We also got to taste sangria while eating paella out on the beautiful rooftop of La Terraza del Cristina. Highly recommend this experience!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an unforgettable experience at La Terraza del Cristina! The panoramic views of Seville from the rooftop were absolutely breathtaking, especially seeing landmarks like the Triana Bridge and Torre del Oro while sipping local wine. The cooking demonstration was both fun and informative. Watching the chefs expertly prepare traditional Spanish dishes like paella and sangría made the experience even more immersive. The food was delicious, with fresh seafood paella and sangría that was perfectly balanced. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, sharing great insights into Seville's culinary traditions. Highly recommend!
The paella demonstration was great, the chef was engaging and knowledgeable, however there was no sangria demonstration at all. We just received a glass of Sangria with no explanation as to how it is made. The Operators then held a Sangria demonstration at the next table with another group but it was sold as a separate experience. It was meant to be 2 1/2 hours of drinks, however we were told after two hours there would be no more service and the waitress was quite rude. It ruined what could have been a great experience.
Not exactly what we were hoping for. The paella cooking demonstration and explanation was good but the paella ended up pretty darn salty. It was advertised as all you can drink but limited on the host seeing your empty glass. When the food was served there was nothing to drink. Most at our table just picked at the food and were finally given a glass of Sangria just before leaving. All in all better off saving your money.
It was a pleasure learning about our favorite meal. The atmosphere was so amazing. Enjoy the experience
So much fun! Antonio was hilarious and gave us so many tips for cooking a paella! You get to enjoy the paella on a rooftop with stunning views. Definitely reccomend
The experience was cancelled by the operators the day before the reserved date. The trip had been reserved a month prior. They initially asked if we could change our date to the day before or the day after our reserved date. We couldn’t accommodate due to our scheduling. They said they had no choice but to cancel due to a problem in their kitchen. How do you anticipate to have a problem in the kitchen on Tuesday but no problems in the kitchen on Monday and Wednesday? We were looking forward to this experience and are upset with how unprofessional the operators were at letting us know last minute. We also believe that the reasoning doesn’t make sense and they weren’t very truthful with the reason for cancellation. Make sure you have backup plans when booking this experience as you never know if they will cancel on you 24 hours before!
This was a great evening. Was very interactive and fun and learned a lot about how to make a “proper” paella. Drinks and food were wonderful. Highly recommend this!
This was really a fabulous experience in Seville. Antonio was a perfect host/chef/guide. The information that he provided while preparing the paella was excellent. The food, drink and ambience was truly memorable. The prep area for the demonstration was well organized - everyone had a great view of what he was doing at all times. Eating out on the terrace was fantastic- great views and paella was excellent. Highly recommend this tour
The experience was superb. Antonio is a master chef and communicator. Wonderful tips to try cooking a paella back home. Beautiful views from the terrace as we enjoyed the paella and sangria. We will do it again on the next visit.
The whole show was great, learned so much about cooking paella and its history. Antonio was great and made the session funny and informative.
Very memorable experience. Our host blended history with food, culture and cooking in a fun and relaxed way. He was very engaging throughout the evening.
This was a great experience to see some of the tequniques used to ooke paella. The chef was happy to pass on his culinary knowledge and some fun paella food facts. We enjoyed the views while eating the delicious paella and enjoyed the company of our new found friends.
Antonio, the chef, did an amazing job teaching us about the native paella dish! He also did a fabulous job with explaining everything in detail so that we could understand it and why things are done the way they are. Highly recommend this! We went with our family which had four kids ages 18-10 and they all enjoyed it and loved the food!!
A wonderful experience. Not only was the food and Sangria delicious but the chef was very entertaining too. Everything you could ever want to know about making paella. Well organised and a glorious setting.
Amazing experience. Very informative & loved Antonio’s passion for cooking. We felt like this was the best thing we’ve done while in Seville. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to get back to Canada & my husband to make a Paella for the family.
This was a wonderful experience! Antonio was very personable and knowledgeable about food and Spain. The food and wine were also delicious. I would love to see more of Antonio’s cooking in the future!
This is a really fun experience. The chef Antonio was excellent. A real pro and very informative and friendly. The paella and sangria on the roof top was a great experience in itself with wonderful river views.
This is an absolute must do experience!! It is more of a cooking show than a cooking class but it has been one of the highlights of our trip so far! Enjoy some tapas (meats, cheese and olives) along with bottomless wine/beer/water while watching traditional paella preparation. We learned so much about paella and loved every minute of the experience. We then enjoyed the paella on the rooftop with a wonderful view of Sevilla! We would recommend this class to anyone (no cooking involved by participants so great for everyone). This class is run by the owner who is so welcoming and provided many great tips for restaurants in the area!
Antonio was engaging and very knowledgeable! We loved the wine and snacks and lesson! Fun for the whole family! And the rooftop meal at the end was simply stunning.
Approx 20 in the group, plenty of wine to drink whilst watching the cooking. Chef was very interesting and clear, involving the audience and creating rapport. Really enjoyed eating the paella with great views over the city
We really enjoyed our cooking class with Antonio. We learned Spanish traditions and influences that go into the meal. And eating the paella afterwards with Sangria was really good, too. I highly recommend this.
Antonio, our chef, was very engaging, interactive and knowledgeable and prepared an amazing paella dinner for us! He shared the history, culture and techniques behind paella, which was very interesting. We enjoyed delicious wine and appetizers while he prepared and cooked the food and chatted with our fellow diners, a small group of 5 of total which was perfect! Once the food was ready, we went to the rooftop terrace and had sangria, took some beautiful pics of the city and ate our delicious meal! Truly one of the best and unique experiences we had while in Spain!
The location is beautiful. The views from the rooftop from the "Terraza del Cristina" of the Guadalquivir River and the Torre del Oro are spectacular. When we arrived with our group of 13 people to the indoor kitchen and cooking area, the chef seems a little rattled and did not want us all to sit together or take the front seats, though no one else had arrived. We sat where he said, and it worked out ok. Once the event began, the chef was engaging and answered questions from the audience. We had wine and tapas as the chef cooked our meal. The cooking demonstration was fun and very informative, particularly for those who had never cooked, or perhaps never eaten paella. Two in our small group did not eat shellfish and a vegetable paella was prepared for them. We ate our food outside on the sunny deck (with awnings). The paella itself was very average, nothing spectacular, and a bit burnt (not toasted as it should be) on the bottom. We ate it however, as it was certainly edible. The ambience was terrific and it certainly was a pleasant experience overall.
Great location on top of building near the Torre del Oro. Modern facilities with a good view for all inside and lovely dinning with a view afterwards. Antonio, trained at the Basque Culinary Center, was not only an expert paella chef, but an enthusiastic teacher. His personal details added depth to the paella experience and everyone engaged.
We really enjoyed this experience. The host was fun and interacting. The food and drinks were amazing.
We enjoyed the entire experience... host was knowledgeable and added information to every step, and the result was delicious. (Note the form that asks who was in our party is not adequate... we were three adult siblings and a spouse)
The tuition was informative and engaging and no excess information. Our host was generous with his hospitality, the cooked dish was devine snd the setting was 10/10, and there was a magnificent balcony sunset to boot!
Overall wonderful experience. Antonio was professional, knowledgeable, passionate, and spoke great English. The show cooking made it manageable to recreate a great paella dish for anyone (and tasted great). There was responsive and clear communication from the team for arrival time and location. Two thumbs up for the whole experience.
Antonio was a very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun host who ensured that we (a group of 8 middle-aged men) had a really good experience. Our glasses were constantly refilled with wine or sangria which obviously enhanced our experience. His cooking tips were clear and really helpful. The time passed very quickly and the real piece de la resistance came when we went out on to the balcony to eat the paella and were then blown away by the fantastic views across the river and city. We stayed there eating and drinking as long as we wanted with our glasses refilled. A perfect way to spend 2-3hrs.
Antonio was a great host - interesting and informative - fabulous paella!!! Learnt lots of tips about cooking the perfect paella - met some lovely people - and ate the best paella ever out on the roof terrace!!
It was a nice learning experience. Our chef was very interactive and fun. The rooftop where we ate our lunch had a great view of the river.
If you are in Sevilla and are looking for a fun and memorable experience I highly recommend booking a paella and sangria rooftop experience with La Terraza del Cristina. Antonio, the host, is incredible and teaches you so much about the history of paella and sangria while you enjoy the beautiful 360 views of Sevilla! The paella and sangria is also delicious!! So much fun and a key experience I had in Sevilla!
Great experience. The chef was very knowledgeable and made the class interesting by getting everyone involved. The only thing that would have improved it is if we were also taught how to make sangria.
Highly recommend this experience when in Seville. Such a great way to spend an afternoon. Food and sangria was great.
Antonio did a wonderful job making us feel welcomed and comfortable. We enjoyed the snacks and wine while he showed us how he made paella. Eating the delicious paella rooftop was a fun experience. The white wine sangria was the best I have ever had! Loved the experience and highly recommend it. Our 16yr old boy and 18yr old girl also enjoyed it.
This was the activity my daughter and I were looking forward to doing! Everything was beautifully preparer. Our host was so knowledgeable and we learn so much! The food was delicious and eating on the rooftop with such great company was everything and more we had imagine!
This is a must in Sevilla. Antonio is a phenomenal host and even better chef. The weather could not have been better not to mention wine and sangria. Perfect activity at the end of a long day.
What a great cooking experience with a knowledgeable and passionate instructor! The paella was amazing, and although I’ve been making Spanish omelette all my life, learned a new way of making it and it was delicious! And what a great venue!!
This was really fun. It was a demonstration of how to cook paella, (and make Spanish omelet) which we then ate after. The cook was really knowledgeable and interesting. The setting is very pleasant as was the free wine and sangria. Well worth it.
All round good experience. Lovely food and wine. Lots of helpful cooking tips followed by lunch on the roof with fab views.
An excellent experience giving the true flavour of Spain with the added bonus of watching a beautiful meal unfold in front of you whilst sipping your favourite drink if choice. What's not to like!
