The website said it was a 4 hour tour (1 hour to the olive oil factory, 2 hours for the tour, 1 hour back). Instead it was 3 hours of travel (1.5 hours each way) and 45 minutes of a talk and tasting. I asked the host if there would be a further tour. She said they provide a 1.5 hour tour, but our tour company did not pay for that. Now, the tasting was good, and we bought olive oil to take home. Our driver was also very friendly and helpful, and he did stop to give us a photo op. In the end, we did not feel it was good value for money.

We will start our fabulous time from Seville. We will pick you up at your accomodation.
The mill is subject to availability. The oleotour that we offer it is a new experience in a very typical hacienda (called “Cortijo” in Andalusia region) at Los Alcores countryside, few kilometres away from the city centre. The hacienda was restored as an olive oil mill and today they also have a museum about the traditional art of making olive oil. The guided tour will drive you to the olive trees besides the property and, the owner will give you all explanations and information about the harvesting, selection process, and art of making extra virgin olive oil in a traditional way with modern techniques and a lot of passion. By the end of the tour you will visit the pressing area and quality control department to know the secrets about this old product, andyou will taste different varieties of extra virgin olive oil and finally…a surprise!

We booked a four hour tour that advertised an hour drive, two hours of tour with a tasting, and an hour drive back. Instead, we received an hour and a half drive each way, and a talk and tasting that lasted 45 minutes at most, including the time we took to buy some olive oil at the store. I asked our host at the olive oil factory if we were going to have more of a tour of their facility, and she told me that they do in fact give 1.5 hour tours, but that is not what Naturanda purchased for us. While we enjoyed the tasting and found our driver, Jose, to be very friendly and helpful, we did not believe that we got what we paid for.
Ayman our representative was great. He was extremely informative and had a relaxing attitude. The tour of the olive vineyard was also informative and relaxing. The owners spoke good English, were welcoming and offered samples of their olive oil which was truly tasty and first class. We would definitely visit again when next in the area.
Insightful, and well rounded experience. We enjoyed it very much. We feel we will take our new found knowledge and apply it in our life.
Top quality experience. Miguel was our driver - he was very professional and delivered us smoothly and safely to the farm. On the farm, Elena was our tour guide and she was amazing. Knowledgeable, gave a great tour, and was excellent company. There were only four of us total on the tour, so we had plenty of opportunity to ask questions and Elena had answers for them all. Would absolutely recommend this tour, 10/10, and would also recommend buying lots of oil from the gift shop.
It was wonderful! Learned a lot about olive growing. There were only 4 people on the tour and that made it so special.
We originally had a private tour booked, but it had to be rearranged. They were very accommodating in offering alternatives. The van driver was friendly and shared many tips and stories. Our tour guide st the olive oil farm was excellent. She shared so much information and we learned so much. We loved the olive oil tasting and the sweet surprise! Got to meet Juan, the owner of the farm. Lovely way to spend 4 hours. Do not hesitate to book.
We did a wonderful olive farm and oil tasting half day tour with Naturanda. Very informative, interesting and well organised. Would highly recommend!
Let me start by being very clear: the olive oil farm, factory, and staff of Basilippo were absolutely amazing, and are worth 5/5. This is the only reason I’m giving this a 2/5 instead of a 1/5 because the tour company, Naturanda Turismo Ambiental, did not deliver at all. First, they advertised that they would pick up at our hotel, but our hotel was not listed as a pickup option. They sent an email asking us if “we could keep the meeting location” at their office, so I asked them to confirm that they could not pick up from our hotel just to be sure. They responded saying they would confirm the pickup location the day before the event, without answering my question. By the night before the event, I had yet to receive any communication from them. I sent an email that night asking for confirmation as we wanted to plan our day around whether we needed to leave our hotel to meet them or not. We didn’t hear back from them until they called 2 hours before the tour was scheduled to start! They confirmed they would be picking us up at our hotel, and said to be outside 5 minutes early. They then sent a follow up email saying to be outside 10 minutes early. We were ready on time, and they showed up 10 minutes late. Second, the tour length is falsely advertised. The tour felt a bit rushed and we were at the location for less than 2 hours. The tour was advertised as 4 hours total on Viator, with 15 minutes travel before and after, and 3 hours and 10 minutes on the property. We felt rushed and shortchanged. I feel as though we should get a 1/3 or our money back as we only got 2/3 of the time advertised. It would have been nice to have time to wander around and take a closer look at everything mentioned on the tour, but we were not provided that. If we were allowed to do so, it was not communicated to us. The driver did not let us know we were needing to leave, but started the van and opened the doors. Everyone was a bit confused by the short time, and were concerned we might be left behind if we didn’t get in the van right away. This tour has amazing potential, as the farm, factory and its staff are truly awesome and worth visiting. However, the lack of communication by the tour company and false advertising regarding length of time onsite and the sheer lack of time to enjoy the environment are sadly lacking.
What a great experience! I learned so much on this tour. The owner is very passionate about his farm, and it was so interesting to see the old and new ways that olive oil is pressed. We had a tasting, and wow what a difference quality makes! So glad we took this tour. Highly recommend!
Really interesting, informative, friendly And helpful driver and guide at the farm. Really fun, interactive experience. I learned a lot about olive oil!
The tour was wonderful! Our guide (Angela) was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the farm and olives. We also met the owner of the farm who was very friendly and great to talk to!
The description showed a 15 min drive out of town with a 3.5 hr tour. Which appealed to me. I received a call evening before the tour to tell me they’re using a new, modern farm but it’s 1.5 drive each way with a 1.5 hour tour and tasting. The facility is very nice however it’s much too long of a drive for such a short tour. More driving than tour! The farm was a quick tour of the outside and mostly inside. Beautiful building with nice place to eat as well (but this wasn’t included nor was there time to eat, instead we were stopped at some cafe next to a gas station to grab a quick bite. I wouldn’t recommend. If they changed up their itinerary, maybe
I learned a lot on this tour! There were beautiful views and amazing olive oils to taste! They will even ship directly to your home!
Great experience all around! Transport and host José Luiz was extremely friendly and helpful. Tour guide at farm was knowledgeable and funny. Really enjoyed!
The tour was better than expected! Isaac was incredibly knowledgeable and made learning about olive oil an enriching experience. Highly recommend!
Very informative. We enjoyed learning about olive growing, harvesting and oil production. The area was lovely and the driver was prompt and friendly.
This was an amazing trip. The young guide did an outstanding job explaining the world of olives and olive oils. We were introduced to the 6th generation owner. Exceptional tour and highly recommend.
We spent a few hours at a magnificent olive oil farm ( Basilippo) and watched the whole process of growing the olives to the final production of olive oil. Our guide was passionate and knowledgeable about how to choose olive oils and learning about the timing of picking olives. We ended up buying quite a few gifts to take back to the states.
This was a very informative and enjoyable tour. We learned a lot about the grading of olive oils and the entire process of growing, harvesting and processing the olives into oil. The highlight of the tour was the taste test. The guide was excellent and the facilities were clean and modern.
Our guide Nacho had such great historical knowledge and was a pleasure to converse with. Pickup right at our hotel was perfectly on time and the trip was smooth. We did miss part of our tour as we were supposed to arrive slightly earlier but the tour was beautiful and the experience was well worth the trip. Thank you to our guide Nacho for teaching us so much more about Spain and specifically Sevilla!
Great experience! Wonderful and knowledgeable tour guides both driver and at farm, left feeling really satisfied. Would definitely recommend to anyone that is curious to learn about olive oil.
I would like to preface this by saying that the driver, Rey, was AMAZING. Very knowledgeable and helpful. However, the website is misleading. They tell you that it lasts 3 hours, it lasted almost 6 and I had somewhere to be at 8:30 and didn’t get to make it because we arrived at 8:45. The site also says that you’ll be sampling various olive oils - we sampled ONE. And the guy at the store provided no information and seemed peeved that we got there “late”. Not sure what time he expected us but everyone was on time - early actually because the tour supposedly started at 4 and they made me meet at the point at 3. By the end of the almost 6 hours, everyone was super hungry because we didn’t eat and thought we’d be sampling lots of olive oils with bread. In reality, again, we sampled ONE with 2 pieces of bread. They told us that depending on the time of year, not all the distilleries are open. Perhaps that’s something they should mention on the website. I stayed an extra day in Sevilla just to do this tour and I regretted it
If I could give less than one star I would! Do not do business with this company! Zero customer service! Six adults booked a private tour and the guide arrives in a vehicle suited for 4 - as we attempted to squeeze a 6’4” man into the vehicle- the two smallest crawled into jump seats in the rear with their knees in their chest. We then were told, it’s a nice car … duh! And we would be riding a little over an hour to & from our destination - we decided then, it would be impossible. The poor girl, Desiree at the kiosk had no idea what to do … she called and said there’s no other vehicles available and tells me to contact the company via email or phone. Sent multiple messages via phone - even reached out directly to GetYourGuide as this company was the provider. No one seems able to respond and make this right. This activity didn’t happen and we spent over $700 … I would like a full refund! GetYourGuide cannot respond until they hear from the local provider - Naturanda. Getting my Travel Agent involved now! Avoid this kind of situation for your vacation!
Amazing experience learning about olive oil production at a quality olive oil farm! The family of the olive oil farm was gracious with their time and attention to visitors. Transportation from Sevilla was efficient and Patricia was a great host on the trip from Sevilla to the olive oil farm.
I have had many excursions around the world over the years and this ranks as one of the very best ever. A comfortable minivan took us on a 30 minute scenic ride to the sixth-generation family-owned Basilippo olive farm and oil factory. A family member who lives on the farm and is passionate about olive oil and is an expert taster gave us an informative tour of the farm, factory, and tasting. I learned so much and now appreciate high quality award winning olive oil and brought some home for myself and friends. There were only four of us so it was a private tour.
Patricia was very nice and on time to take us to Basilippo! The tour at Basilippo was amazing, the guide walked us around the property and explained the entire process from start to finish. The tasting was delicious, and we now have a good recipe for ice cream with olive oil!
Patricia was amazing to start the trip, so punctual and sweet getting us over to Basilippo! Then the tour itself was incredibly informative and the tasting was a perfect ending to the outing. Definitely recommend!
Extraordinary! The breath of knowledge and the passion our guide has for olive oil making process was pure joy to experience.
Wonderful tour of the Olive Farm. Patricia was a great guide. The olive farm was out of the world. Educational and informative, we learnt about the entire process and also tasting... It's a must do if you are in Spain.
The host is great, very friendly and informative. The farm produces great products, I would definitely recommend visiting the farm.
We enjoyed the tour- very informative and enjoyed the olive grove, factory and tasting. The owner gave a wonderful tour and shared a glass of his organic wine while we enjoyed the beautiful view. Our kids found the drive long - it was an HOUR and 20 minutes, not 20 minutes, as written in the description. After our 8:45am pick up and picking up fellow pax at another hotel, we arrived at the olive farm at 10:30. That would be our only critique.
We had booked an olive oil tour from Seville at least a month in advance, but it turned out that we were the only two people to sign up. The original tour to a larger facility therefore had to be cancelled, but Naturanda made new plans for us and we were driven to a small, organic olive oil producer, Oleum Viride, outside the town of Zahara de la Sierra. It was just us (and our very patient and friendly guide José) with the charming owner, who gave us a detailed and informative tour of the facility and described all aspects of production. It was a fantastic experience.
We never took the tour! Trip Advisor said 9:45 am departure. Since we were flying in that morning from Palma that worked well. The evening before when confirming with Naturanda, they said it was moved to 8:30, then to 8:45 which we could not make. So I asked for a refund, which they processed through you. I received your email at 1:45 pm confirming refund in process.
My fiancé and I booked this tour on our visit to Seville. We’ll be recommending our friends who visit Seville experience this olive farm. The owner was knowledgeable about the industry, helped explain the types of oil classifications (we will be buying Extra Virgin back in the states now) and the property is beautiful. This is a small family farm and will be giving them my business in the future. However, the tour company that took us there left some to be desired. They did NOT offer a hotel pickup for us (or anyone as we could tell). I asked them 10 days before the tour to confirm they would get us at our hotel, they told me they would confirm the day before. The day before they gave us a meetup address, a 20m walk from our hotel. They told us to arrive at 8:45 (listing said 9:45) and when we did, we waited for 30m for everyone else to arrive. Other tours were leaving at the same time and there was no clear organization. We then walked 10m to the van. The tour guide spoke maybe 2 sentences the entire time, and it was clear she had never been on this tour again. The van driver also took a wrong turn. The farm is 30m out of town, so in reality this 4 hour visit was 30m waiting, 30m driving, 120m on farm and 30m driving back, to be dropped off at a parking area where we were picked up. Still giving this 5 stars as the farm was fantastic and I don’t want to discourage visits to this small business. But the tour company has room to do better.
Another fantastic tour by Naturanda! Easy to arrange, great communicators! Isaac at the olive oil farm was super friendly, great communicators, very knowledgeable - would take tour again! Carlos was super friendly as well and great at communicating!!
We were very happy with the olive oil tour we had with Naturanda. It was very interesting to visit the oil farm and taste different olive oils. The tour was very versatile and we learned so much about olive oil production. The guide at the farm was good and the Naturanda guide who drove us there was excellent, since he kept explaining even more things about olive oil throughout the drive. We had a great day!
It is *really expensive* for what you get. It should be $50 not $100. It’s a shuttle ride to an olive oil farm called Basilippo Oleoturismo that you could probably get a taxi for cheaper and call ahead to arrange your own tour. I would like to think you’re paying for the guide’s expertise and time, but I saw him take another family right after us. So, you pay premium for transportation and no headache. We got to taste one of their olive oils and one of their infused olive oil. I wouldn’t recommend or do this again at this price.
The tour is truly exceptional. The farm they parter with to visit is uniquely charming, and the co-owner who leads the tour groups while there is the perfect host. It is hard to describe how much of a great time this is, but it is WELL WORTH your time. I cannot recommend it enough.
WONDERFUL experience. The host was knowledgeable, experienced and an expert. Super cool, relaxed experience. 100% recommended. Transportation was excellent and well coordinated.
This was a wonderful tour! I am a big fan of olives and olive oil but now I’m a proper olive oil snob. It was extremely enlightening. The tour guide (son in law of the family business) did an excellent job. He was very warm, funny, and a great teacher. We didn’t get to pick olives as we were there past harvest but it was still neat to see the grounds and the mill equipment and little museum. It only takes a few hours so I think it’s very worth doing. I highly recommend!
We had a great experience, the guide was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He taught us how to Identify great olive oil. It was also so good to get out into the countryside—despite a rainy day.
Jess took us to a tour of the Basilippo Olive Oil Farm and Manufactory. It was a wonderful experience. Isaac conducted our tour - he is a charming, welcoming host and so knowledgeable. We enjoyed learning about olive oil farming and harvesting and the production and rating of the oil. And we were treated to an exceptional tasting at the end of the tour. Highly recommend.
It was interesting to learn about the different types of olives. The guide was knowledgeable and was open to answering questions.
We arrived at the Basilippo olive farm/orchard after a pleasant and informative ride with our driver Guido. There we met Issac whose in depth knowledge of all aspects of olive growing and production were a tremendous source of detailed information to us. The orchard itself is beautiful and set among the hills north of Seville. The tasting of their delicious oils occurred in an elegant room of the hacienda. Fantastic experience which I highly recommend.
This tour was great! At first I didn’t expect to much going to an olive oil farm tour, but our tour guide, Guillermo, was AMAZING! You could really tell how passionate he is about what he does, and it showed. His energy was great for the entirety of the tour and he really did a great job of explaining everything and immersing you into the whole olive oil experience. This tour is a MUST DO for anyone coming to Seville! 10/10 recommend!
Worth the commute out of the city to explore and learn and definitely to taste! Learned a lot about the process, history, farm, etc. The tasting was educational and delicious.
The host was gracious and welcoming to their family farm. The tasting of pika was quite interesting. I highly recommend the tour. The only suggestion is for the excursion company needs to improve the pick up arrangements.
A real highlight of our trip. I enjoyed learning about growing the trees, processing the olive and tasting it!
This was a fun half day trip out of Sevilla. Our guide, Sergio, was extremely knowledgeable and told us interesting facts and details while driving there as well as at the olive oil venue. He knows all about the process and is very passionate about teaching people he is guiding. We had a great time and recommend this if you want something fun to do and see the outer area of Seville.
