The visit was moved from 3:30 to 5:00 and shortened from 1 ½ hours to 40 minutes. They should have just canceled it. The guide was not that knowledgable.
Amazing, I loved the tour guide Maria Jose.
The building itself is cool and the tour guide gave some good information. But she was noticeably rushing and was annoyed when people asked her questions, often keeping her back turned when people were chasing her down to ask questions, seeming like she didn’t hear (if she has a hearing problem I take this back but I don’t think she does), and then sounding frustrated/was very terse when she did answer. The info says the tour is approximately an hour and a half and we were done in 45 minutes… felt like the tour guide had to be somewhere else.
We had a very disappointing experience with this tour provider. We arrived at the designated meeting point at 3:34 PM, just a few minutes after the scheduled time, and the guide was nowhere to be found. There were no clear instructions about arrival expectations, no mention of a strict cutoff, and no visible effort to wait even a short grace period (which is standard in most tours). We waited, tried to contact the guide via text and phone, and received no response. After waiting another several minutes with no communication or presence, we had no choice but to purchase our own tickets in order not to miss the experience entirely. To make matters worse, the booking itself was confusing and inconsistent: we had booked an English-language tour, yet the ticket indicated the tour would be conducted in Spanish. That kind of contradiction does not inspire confidence and suggests issues with how the experience is managed. Overall, this felt like a lack of professionalism and poor customer consideration. When you combine unclear instructions, no communication, and rigid no-show policies, it creates a frustrating experience for customers. I would not book with this provider again and would recommend others proceed with caution.
visiting relevant monuments full of history is always better with a guide, where for the satisfaction counts 50% knowledge and 50% the personality of the guide. You learn a bit while keeping good mood.
We had the guided tour with M. Angeles and it was very interesting, informative and quite funny. We had the best time. Very recommended as it was one hour and a half well spent.
A special house with an amazing collection of tiles. The garden is beautiful and tranquil. Our guidelines was attentive and knowledgeable
On a day when Spain is pretty much shut down for a public holiday (6th Jan), we still managed to get a tour of a historically important palace confirmed. And we had the sheer luck of having Maria Angeles Miguez of naturanda.com as our incredibly knowledgeable guide. She was like a walking encyclopedia of Casa de Pilatos. The amount of information the group of eight we were travelling in got from Maria was miles off what we could reasonably expect, it was simply wonderful. Thank you most kindly, Maria 😊
This is an amazing place to visit- so much history and a beautiful building through the centuries. I would recommend. Great guide Alba x
This has a wow factor. It is the home of relatives of the Catholic Kings Ferdinand and Isabella and therefore it is decorated for uber wealthy European royalty. Arab, Roman and Renaissance motifs throughout. 2hr tour sounds like a lot but, it isn't. My tour guide was Ismael. Very engaging. Great fund of knowledge
Emilio was a wonderful guide, with a lot of knowledge. We had a very nice time and we enjoyed discovering this place. Besides, we were lucky enough to be almost the only one visiting!
We did this tour on our first day arrival in Sevilla and thus was pushed for time getting there about 10 minutes late. The guide accepted our lateness and we took the remainder of the tour and then doubled back to see what we had missed. The Palace is not the Royal Palace of Madrid, thus not overly decorated in gold and tons of fine art. It is though a good look at where some royals lived in their times. The guides were knowledgeable, and their English was within reason for me (with hard hearing) to understand. We opted for the second floor tour that is seperate from the first floor tour, and were glad we did. The second floor had more artwork, more 'feeling' of someone living there, and thus was worth the extra cost and time.
Julián is perfection as a guide: vast culture and total pleasantness.
Alvaro guided us through Casa de Pilatos and it was spectacular. He doesn't just stick to explaining the house, but he also explains history, art... You can tell he is passionate about his work and he knows how to convey that passion!
We took the guided tour with Álvaro and it was great. This guide had a great deal of knowledge about history and Casa de Pilatos. He knew how to convey it very well. It was a great pleasure to have him as a guide.
Wonderful tour with Álvaro, a lot of knowledge and the tour was very enjoyable.
Incredible tour! Full of interesting facts and easy access! Plus with the guide, Álvaro, who presents it in a fascinating way and makes history incredible and easy to understand
Excellent guide who took the time for the tour. Their knowledge of the house is limitless. Bravo
Alvaro introduced us to and showed us all the curiosities of the palace. It has been a luxury to be able to count on a great professional.
The explanations were super good, Alvaro is charming, we loved the visit
The guide María José did a phenomenal job, pleasant and instructive
A very pleasant experience, with a history very well narrated by Majo and many interesting details, the palace is beautiful and very charming. We liked it a lot!
Very interesting and great work by Majo as a guide
The house of Pilatos surprised me, and thanks to the guide, Maria Jose, we were able to enjoy the visit with all the details and explanations.
María José is kind, polite, and addressed all our concerns. She explained everything very well and in an engaging manner. We loved Casa Pilatos.
We loved the visit; the explanations were clear, there were funny anecdotes, and the guide Maria Jose was a great professional. 100% recommendable.
The guide was very friendly, enthusiastic and lots of fun facts about the house and decoration. We had a very nice tour!
I made the visit with Mari Angeles. Very fun, dynamic, interactive Oh, great. Thank you so much 😘
The guide explained everything very well. But the price is excessive. It is not worth paying 200€ more just for the explanation. I think it's an abuse.
We made this visit to Pilate's house with Nevis. I have to say that the experience has been extraordinary. The house is a spectacle and the explanations of Nieves great guiding you and being aware of you at all times with very grounded explanations and full of history. Thank you very much Nieves. We would certainly repeat the experience.
What a knowledgeable guide Nieves we have had. She knew a lot about the history of this house and the family.
I went with my partner and the truth that doing the tour with guide is worth it, and more if you have Mari Paz! Super nice and told us a lot of details, we will recommend it! If I have to put a paste is that the entrance is a little expensive if you consider that you need a little refresher to the house!
Casa de Pilatos: The visit with Julian was very rich and pleasant Historical, architectural, artistic review Comments putting the site in context with the evolution of Seville Julian has been a guide with great empathy for his clients We recommend it
It was a surprise, €12 ticket for the ground floor only, including an online audio guide, a true condensation of the history of noble families who have succeeded in these places and in this "house*, with the various, subsequent and diversified enrichments made. It is worth spending an hour and a half in these halls, with numerous vestiges sin too within reach of "hands" of clumsy or disrespectful tourists.
Nieves was an experienced clerk, she knew a lot about the palace and its history. With all questions she managed to give a good answer with addition. She really took her time at every place in the palace.
Mari Paz guided us around the Pilates house and it was a pleasant tour, full of details and entertaining. He knows many stories and makes it dynamic and interesting.
Mari Paz is a passionate and super well-trained guide. It is a pleasure to discover these historic places with her. Thank you!
Amazing visit to the pilates house of Seville with Mari Luz, very very interesting everything. I recommend if you go to Seville.
Nieves was excellent in his explanation. Willing to answer all our questions and give interesting details. SUPER recommended tour and guide.
Genial Julián. We loved the visit and all the curious facts he told us. Highly recommended for any visit!
Great visit. And many thanks to our guide Julian who made the visit enjoyable and fun. Great connoisseur of Seville and its stories. The beautiful house and although not as well known as other places in Seville, is worth it.
We really enjoyed the visit. Our very correct guide Nieves explained everything very well. Highly recommended. If I ever hire, I'd like to have the same guide
