A solid day with lots to see with the right tour guide. An excellent opportunity not to be missed. Our guisde Petra was full of life and proud of her role.
Our tour guide was lovely. Catherine she was informative funny and pleasant. Our driver up the rock. Was funny and made the trip enjoyable. Only comment no toilets on the main coach so had to do toilet stops. Other than that the tour was very good. As Catherine would say hmm hmmmm 😂
Daniela, our guide, was great, she gave us facts and cool trivia throughout our journey. She definately showed great dedication and care to everyone on the tour. From going though the border check to making sure all of us we having a nice time. Thank you to Daniela, our driver and Loraine. I had a great time!!!!
You visit 3 spots. One for 20 minutes. Another for ( and one for ten A grand total if 35 minutes. What a wasted of money and time. Need to allocate a bit more time to take photos and show a few more landmarks. Not a hold trip.
I had read mixed reviews so I was a little worried but this tour was fantastic. There was plenty of time to see everything that I wanted to see and the high point for me was the Macaques. We had plenty of time to spend watching them and taking photos. We had a few different guides and they were all friendly and informative. I would definitely recommend if you just wanted to see the highlights. There was definitely more to see, and if we had more days in Spain we might have stayed overnight but this was perfect for us. Oh, fun fact. John Lennon and Yoko Ono got married there. That was a bonus for me.
Our tour guide was Alba and she was fantastic. She worked very hard making sure everyone was where they needed to be and informed. The reason for the 3 out of 5 has nothing to do with Alba. I thought the tour would be more exploring rather than just hoping in and out of a bus/van to see things very quickly. We didn’t really get to see the top of the Rock.
The experience is just amazing. i highly recommend. went to Gibraltar few times and can't stop of doing it haha.
This was a waste of money and time. We were so excited to see Gibraltar, but the “tour” failed in virtually every regard. The description said we would spend two hours at the rock and receive a 25 minute guided tour of St. Michael’s cave. From the time we entered the van to take us up the rock until we were dropped off was well under two hours. We left the van for ten minutes near the lighthouse, for 25 minutes to see St. Michael’s cave and the monkeys (no tour was provided), and for under ten minutes at the ape’s den. Logistically, the trip was a nightmare. After we were picked up, we switched busses at one of the subsequent pick up locations and had seats without a window for what would turn out to be almost 8 hours. We departed the tour office at 8:30 and did not arrive to Gibraltar until almost 1:30. After our short and unsatisfying visit to the rock, we were dropped off near the airstrip separating Gibraltar and Spain. Although we were told only four planes arrive a day, the timing was such that the group got to stand at the gate for about twenty minutes while waiting for two planes to land. This time should have been spent on the rock. Since we were so fortunate to enjoy the lengthy bus ride in the morning, we were further rewarded by sitting on the bus while it made three other drop offs. During the bus ride to Gibraltar, the most useful piece of information we were told was the agricultural landscape in Southern Spain differed from Seville. We were not told anything about Gibraltar’s significance or its role in the Spanish Civil War. After we arrived, we walked past many permanent displays about both, but we were not provided any time to even photograph the displays to read them later. Rather, we walked at a relatively rapid rate through construction sites to reach the Main Street. One “tour guide” for close to 40 people speaking two languages was not sufficient. We were so looking forward to seeing Gibraltar. Had we been given the time promised to us at the rock, we would have been satisfied. Rather, the day was the equivalent of a drive through meal at a fast food restaurant.
The tour was good, but be warned that nearly all of the time is travel time. You get *maybe* an hour spread across three stops in Gibraltar (Europa Point, St. Michael's Cave, a monkey den), have slightly over an hour for lunch in town, and maybe a short hour on a minibus tour of the city (this was surprisingly good, I thought). But all the of the rest of the time is travel, comfort breaks, border control, etc. If I were doing this again, I would try to add a couple hours to the length of the tour, which could double the time actually spent *on* the tour. The bus from Seville was nice and comfortable. Our only real complaint is that our guide for the day spoke English with a very thick accent. You had to pay attention to even catch the switches between English and Spanish; my wife says she understood maybe only 50% of the information he gave out about Gibraltar during the bus trip to there.
It is a great experience that is fun too. Carlos and a woman were our guides (primarily the woman). There was a lot to arrange, organize, and keep track of for at least 30 people in our tour. The guides did it all and without breaking a sweat, even on a hot day! I strongly recommend.
My tour was sold to a different company. The pickup location and time were changed. The dropoff location also changed and was different than the pickup location. There were 43 people on the bus, so not a 20 person max. The local tour in Gibraltar was only an hour and a half, including the caves, shorter than the advertised time. In that tour we only spent a total of 40 minutes standing in the three locations. If I'm going to transit nearly 5 hours there and back I'd like more than 10 minutes in the first tourist area to take in the views and read the plaques. Especially in the caves, I was taking pictures of them to read later when I had time. I wouldn't mind the trip being longer, I want to to be worth it. The tour guide for the overall tour, while a good guy, was basically a chaperone and after a half hour of history on the bus ride down, didn't give much more info during the day. It just felt very much like, "what's the minimum we can do?" The locations themselves were amazing, and I recommend visiting, just maybe a different way. Not sure if my experience would have been different if the original company had given the tour.
Great experience. Appropriate length of free time and stops. Knowledgeable guide and very entertaining. Very pleased.
A great excursion from Seville, but you will spend quite a bit of time on the coach traveling (there and back). The free time for lunch was good, but the amount of time at Europa Point and St Michael’s cave was a bit limited. My tour had a one off issue with the Gibraltar tour provider. Your excursion bus stays in Spain and a local Gibraltar provider takes you after lunch to the end of the tour. Just manage your expectations.
We really enjoyed our trip to Gibraltar from Seville. Information prior to pick up was clear and the pick up was prompt on a clean and comfortable bus. We had some free time in Gibraltar but the trip included a variety of places we were taken to which covered the main sights. There was an unfortunate delay in getting a bus connection in Gibraltar but I appreciate that problems do occasionally occur and I got the impression that this was a ‘one off’. A special mention goes to our guide for the day, Daniela, who was outstanding throughout. She was very personable, helpful, knowledgeable and very clear and articulate in all her explanations in English ( and I assume in Spanish ). A memorable trip.
Our tour guide Peter gave a commentary on the trip that was informative and entertaining. Alvaro was an excellent driver and friendly. They both brought a spirit of fun and adventure to the trip. Peter made sure we were on time always . The tour guide in the city of Gibraltar who took us onto the rock was also very knowledgeable and fun to be with. The entire tour was a must do experience
It pretty much sums up Gibraltar in a day which is exactly what I wanted and expected so it worked out perfectly.
I think the “free time” in Granada was too long. Otherwise it was a great day! Granada is lovely and the tour guide was good.
We enjoyed the visit very much. It was awesome being right next to the monkeys and the sights and heights were spectacular. Our guides Petra and Gary were excellent.
Such a great time with a great guide. Really enjoyed the variety of experiences and comfort of the buses to get there. Would definitely recommend!
Petra was wonderful, full of interesting information and made sure to point out points of interest throughout the journey. The logistics of getting into Gibraltar intimidated me, and I am so glad I chose to do a tour with Petra and get team.
It was wonderful: the sights, the monkeys, the cave, Europa Point. If you are afraid to get lost, it is impossbile with Petra. Follow the noise! 😍
The number of stars was not reflective of our guide Petra. She was amazing and made sure we saw the monkeys. The drive to Gibraltar was long and once you cross into the British territory, they give you TWO HOURS in a tourist trap area to shop and do lunch. One hour is more than enough. Because you spend so much time in the tourist trap area, the time spent seeing the sites in the town and by the sea were minimized. Would be nice to have had more time in nature on a full day tour than that! Be aware that this tour is a full day ( 11 hours from pick up to drop off)
The tour of Gibraltar and St. Michael’s Cave was spectacular and Manuel was friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining!
Petra was the best! We got to see very nice things in one day. I will come back to Gibraltar for sure and then I will choose this compagny again.
Tour guides and bus drivers were all very good. But the tour itself was not good. Takes 2+hrs to drive there. You pass customs, then you have 2hrs of free time in Gibraltar city center. That’s about 2hrs too long. There is nothing to do other than eat and shop. Really a waste of time. Then you take a bus to the lighthouse and have 10mins to take pics. Was a cloudy day so not much to take pics of, could barely see anything. Then up to st Michaels cave and have only 25mins. Although not a ton to see in the cave but still felt rushed. Then drive back down and have a 5min stop for a pic of the city. And then back down and cross the border and head back. That 2hrs should have been used to give more time at each stop. I would not recommend that trip at all.
The views were amazing! Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and accommodating! We were able to see monkeys, the cave, and a lighthouse on our journey!
Gibraltar was such a beautiful place to visit! So much more than “just a rock.” The bus travel to and from Gibraltar was comfortable. Our guide, Petra, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic throughout the tour. We also appreciated the bus driver Gary, on the Gibraltar during The St. Michael Cave tour. A great way to see and learn more about Spain and the history of Gibraltar!
Seeing the breathtaking views from the top of the rock and seeing the monkeys. Our tour guide was excellent and the local guide/ driver was very knowledgeable and very entertaining
Too much of this tour depends on the weather, and since you typically book well in advance it’s a gamble. It’s all about the views and the day we went it was cloudy with few views. The bus was clean and comfortable and the bus driver was nice. It’s a two plus hour ride each way with one bathroom stop along the way. That’s a lot of driving for what we ended up actually doing. Petra was our English speaking guide. She was knowledgeable, entertaining and easy to understand. She gave information about Seville on the way out of town and different points of interest along the way. Once we got to Gibraltar we had to walk through customs and into town to a car-park to get a new bus. It wasn’t far or difficult but there were stairs and it’s definitely not handicap accessible. The second bus was clean and comfortable. However we wasted a lot of time waiting on the second bus. There were several tours waiting and there seemed to be some confusion over the buses. We stood around in a car-park for probably half an hour before resuming the tour. Our group split onto two buses and we had a new guide, Maria. She was knowledgeable and entertaining also. I don’t remember the bus drivers name but he navigated tight roads and turns with skill. They dropped us off at the town center for around two hours of shopping and free time. That was disappointing. Petra advised against the cable car ride to the top because there was no view so there wasn’t much to do except shop and eat. Just a tourist trap. Since we were running late, the rest of the tour seemed rushed and it was the best part. It seemed like we spent 20 minutes in the caves, 20 minutes near the apes and 20 minutes enjoying the views. Just not enough for a 10 hour day.
Great day trip from Sevilla! Our guides were very knowledgable about the history of Gilbralter. The caves were spectacular!
This was a great tour. Aside from a scenic ride, the tour guide was terrific! He was very knowledgeable, friendly and fun-all of which made it a great day. I loved the proximity of the monkeys. I thought the light show in the cave was a bit hokey, but overall, it was a great day!
I had been to Gibraltar previously as a solo and took my time ( several days ). This trip, basing in southern Spain, I wanted to take my friend to Gibraltar for the day. So decided to engage with this tour group for this trip. The transport from Sevia, a large bus was packed to the rafters, though was all right. *** what you really need to know is *** Once arriving in Gibraltar and crossing the border / runway…, we were given two hours to wander downtown and enjoy a nibble / bevy also wander & shop… all fine! Now… although you do go to the “Rock” you are transported by a van directly up to St. Michael’s caves for a *rushed* tour/walk-through. Then transported back down the mountain. At no time were we allowed to go to the top of the rock to the observation platform or wander on the rock to see any other sites.. this was VERY DISAPPOINTING for my friend & myself. In my opinion, this tour should be enhanced…… 2 to 3 hours added to allow the individuals who have chosen to take a day and travel to Gibraltar from Sevilla the time to thoroughly enjoy the top of the “Rock”. There is so much more to see than Saint Michael’s caves.!!!!!!
Our day trip to Gibraltar was an incredible experience! Luca was a great guide, knowledgeable about the history and very informative throughout the tour. The highlights were definitely St. Michael’s Cave and the playful monkeys, which made for a fun and memorable day. At times, the tour felt a bit rushed, and we would have preferred more time exploring the historical sites rather than in shopping in town. Nonetheless, the stunning views and rich history made it an unforgettable day!
Great way to see Gibraltar from Seville- guided through the passport checks with ease. The visit to St Michael’s cave is a must! Manuel looked after us very well and was very knowledgeable during the whole trip.
Petra was our guide in Gibraltar. We found her phenomenal. She was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. She made our day trip more enjoyable. We had about 9 guided tour in Seville while visiting and she was the best we had. Thank you so much Petra!!
The trip was good and scheduled, the tourguide and driver are very professional, everything is good, 5 star service! Recommend this trip!
Petra and Irene rocked the tour! Incredibly professional, entertaining, funny and helpful! 100% recommendation!!!
Really worthwhile tour from Seville. Excellent guides (Petra and David) and the chance to see all the major sites in Gibraltar. Comfortable bus for the two hour trip. Would recommend.
It’s really enjoyable trip with my daughter. Tour guide is very professional and escorted the group very well . The tour activities are worth for the money we spent. Hope to join another group trip in other program soon.
Nice way to spend the day (and get away from the 100 degrees + weather in Sevilla!) I really enjoyed everything we did (Gibraltar is beautiful, we had a great view of Morocco, and the monkeys were awesome!). I do wish we were able to go to the "top of the rock" but this tour does not include that. Also we had a lot of time to kill (2 hours!) in this small area of Gibraltar with a bunch of shops but they did have some Costa Coffee shops so I was happy! The bus was very nice - comfortable seats and great air conditioning. Petra was a great tour guide - very friendly and fun! She provided good narration during our trip including showing us lots of storks in their nests. I would highly recommend this tour - I really enjoyed it!
Nice tour guide and drivers, well organised tour, comfy, modern bus with good ac, time with the monkeys and in the cave was too short though, just 30 minutes altogether. In Gibraltar it was 2 hours for the shops. This time could have been reduced for the time with the monkeys and the cave.
Great guide - very knowledgeable and energetic - made sure everyone had clear instructions and explained history & geography of Gibraltar clearly. Thanks
Great tour! You see every highlight of Gibraltar in one day. Very good organized and you have enough free time for yourself
Excellent trip to the most iconic Rock, watching monkeys was a must and the St Michel Caves were astonishing.
We had a great day. Manuel provided us with all of the information we needed a good histpry lesson too. The views from The Rock are amazing.
We had a great time on this tour. We would have liked to have a little more free time to allow for visit to the Top of the Rock. Manuel was great and made the trip more fun. He did a very good job of explaining everything to us and cared about everyone on the trip, especially those who might have had difficulty crossing the border and returning. We did take the cable car to the top of the rock. Unfortunately we took too long and we were not able to get a taxi back to the meeting point to continue our tour. We were able to make meet up with the bus at the next stop. He was in contact with us during this time. Note that taxi drivers are not very accommodating because they want to book tours instead of rides. We were told by our driver that they are supposed to take you back to the center, which would have been nice to know that we could push back. Overall a five star experience.
Wonderful day trip from Seville! When they say you ‘must’ be able to walk, take that seriously! It’s about a mile from Customs to the main Piazza in town. Manuel and our driver provided a safe and enjoyable ride to/from, with additional information along the way
We travelled to Gibraltar with guide Petra. She was very informative and had a sense of humour. Excellent time had by myself and my partner. Thanks again.
Not the tour guide! She just walked and talk to whomever was next to her. On the bus she gave excellent history and information. The scenery was Beautiful.
