We had an amazing experience with Maria. We got to see a part of Sevilla off of the tourist track. The class was excellent! It was perfect to do before we went to a flamenco show at the museum. We learned history, culture, some moves, and how the artists work together to create the experience for thr audience and for themselves. We loved Maria's stories that helped us learn about the dance. We highly recommend this experience!

This was great fun and really gave us a taste of the flamenco! Definitely recommend this experience, if you are curious about the history and how to do flamenco
This a truly exceptional experience. I am not a dancer but the instructor did a fantastic job showing me the small details and the important steps. She gave a little history of the dance and showed me how to dance and feel strong at the same time. I highly recommend learning to dance with Costanza!
Loved the Flamenco dance lesson with Maria. It made for a really nice family activity and experience on flamenco. Maria also made it fun with stories and kept it interesting. I also appreciated the provider being flexible and transparent in being able to reschedule our lesson to next day as our flight was delayed
The dance lesson was awesome - a truly memorable experience. Costanza was a great teacher and we would highly recommend her. The show was fun also, but the real highlight was the lesson.
Our teacher Costanza was so nice and patient and explained the important parts of the dance well. She was fun and gave us some simple choreography that we could do. Such a fun immersive experience. And then when you see the show you understand what they are doing a little bit more.
The teacher was energetic and very easy to follow. We had a great time. We learned the basics of Flamenco and the choreography for one dance.
Costsnza did an outstanding job. I am old and uncoordinated, but she was a great teacher and coach. She had me dancing by the end of the session. A must do if you like fire and passion,
The Flamenco lesson was a fun way to enjoy family time and this cultural tradition. Our instructor could not have been better - a charismatic and accomplished professional with a gift for coaching varying levels of ability at one time. She made our experience enjoyable and meaningful, and the five of us are grateful for this shared memory. 10 out of 10!
Excellent and fun Flamenco lesson! Highly recommended if you want to learn a few moves to put together in a complete dance set. Our teacher, Maria, was brilliant and a wonderful Flamenco performer. I had a wonderful time! She also went above and beyond to support us. The Flamenco show afterwards was a superb way to end the activity.
Maria was an excellent instructor. She gave us a history of the flamenco music and dance style, along with practical guidance on how to perform the basic steps. We could tell she loves flamenco and her enthusiasm made our lesson so much fun. We then thoroughly enjoyed going to the show afterwards to see how talented flamenco dancers are. We knew what to look for and truly appreciated the show thanks to Maria's lesson.
A true joy. Maria my instructor was so nice. I learned so much about the history of flamenco and just dancing and feeling the music was a highlight of the trip. Beginner level so good for all ages and mobilities. Sadly - I wasn’t able to attend the show that because I had an early night but I HIGHLY recommend. Doing a lesson and seeing a show by professionals was such a great way to live the experience. A favorite. This was a private lesson that happens in a studio and the show is in a different location. The show was a lot later than I initially realized so be prepared for that. I thought it was right afterward. Thank you!
My daughter and I have little dance experience but wanted to learn about flamenco and try it out before watching a show. Nico was warm, fun, and super patient with us, and broke down some of the basic flamenco moves so even we beginners could manage. He also taught us some of the basics about flamenco beats and styles so later, when we went to the show, we knew a bit about what we were watching and could appreciate the very talented performers. A highlight of our visit to Seville; thank you Nico!!!
The most appreciated part of this evening was talking and learning from a Real Flamenco dancer. Kati is so knowledgeable and so friendly. She showed us the famous neighborhood, fed us delicious tappas in a restaurant and placed us in the front row in her club with more tappas served. She performed Flamenco gracefully with tons of energy. Her partner, singer and guitarist were just as good, making the whole team amazing. It was just beautiful to watch and appreciate this difficult dance. Highly recommend this evening in Seville/Triana
Hands down the best activity we did in Sevilla, and that included over 8 days of excursions and activities in Sevilla. Kati is an amazing and authentic teacher. She also happens to be very beautiful and engaging and my sons and I (they are in college) had a blast learning the history and art form of flamenco. What an amazing cultural heritage. Kati was also in the show we saw in Triana along with a really fantastic group. I'm so glad we did that option! I highly advise to do both the studio lesson and the show. We feel like we really understand and appreciate this art form so much now. Class A performance. And Kati is truly a top notch professional. Thank you so much!
I had a one to one private flamenco dancing less. It was SO great! Kathy was really friendly, energetic and knowledgable about the art of flamenco. She immediately put me at ease and was really inspiring and and really talented dancer. By the end we completed a little flamenco dance routine. I loved it and would like to learn more.
We loved our dance lessons from Nico. He could tell us alot about the history of Flamenco and the city Sevilla. He was also good in giving us a dance routine that suits us. Since we were beginners it was nice that he made it easy enough to follow. It was a good start of the holiday since we could understand the Flamenco better when visiting Flamenco shows afterwards. Nico was a very good dancer but also a very knowledgable person who could answer all our questions.
Our dance lesson with Constanza was great fun. Very interesting to understand the structure of the dance and to be able to dance a small choreography by the end. Don't be put off by the location, it is a rented studio in a community arts facility in an old sombrero factory. We were initially concerned as we walked out of the tourist areas bit there was nothing to worry about. The evening show was impressive and intimate in a small bar. I do think that there are better places to watch flamenco in Sevile.
We felt we had an amazing introduction to the art of flamenco with Nico. He was an excellent and patient instructor with an exceptional flamenco background, and he was clearly passionate about flamenco. This instruction truly helped us enjoy the phenomenal flamenco show afterwards.
Absolutely wonderful experience with Nico. Not nearly long enough to truly learn Flamenco but long enough for my dancing daughter to love and respect the style.
I received a gift for a voucher for an experience with Not Just a Tourist and I was so excited to see all the options for activities and experiences! My boyfriend and I were able to do the flamenco dance lesson with tapas and drinks afterward. It was an amazing experience and I fell even more in love with Sevilla! Thank you Not Just a Tourist!
It was a lovely experience. Prior communication was great via the booking app & Whatsapp , they ensured I had the information I needed. When I met with Eva, we went to the studio and I was lucky enough to be the only person so I had a great one to one class. We practiced footwork and hands and with music as well, Eva was patient and explained thoroughly. Afterwards, she took note of my dietary requirements as we went for a tapa afterwards. They also suggested a flamenco show which they organised for me, at Flamenco Esencia which was great and intimate. Would recommend!
Me and my partner had a great time learning Flamenco from Costanza! She provided some background information on the history of Flamenco and then taught us a great routine. She danced the whole thing with us so we could follow along as needed. We got tapas from a local bar after, which was nice and allowed us to learn more about Sevilla!
The lesson did not take place. We arrived at the stated time and place, which appears to be a deserted apartment. Phoning many times. only an answer with no message. To be called on mobile 10 mins after lesson started. with new directions for another location we could not understand.
Kati is beautiful, knowledgeable, talented and a wonderful instructor! We were fortunate that it was just my husband and I for this class. She started off giving us background about the beginnings of flamenco and the history, taught us about the musical timing and then different parts of a dance that we could put together and take back home to keep practicing. It was so much fun and not uptight, very relaxed atmosphere and she was very encouraging. Highly recommend this experience!
We had a wonderful lesson with Toni - he was patient and fun and forgiving of our inappropriate shoes and awkwardness. Lol. We had a great time. The location was a little surprising but was quickly eased by meeting Toni and learning about the art community in that area. The flamenco show that evening was beautiful. Maria was gracious and welcoming and did a great job of explaining the songs and dancing. It was stunning. We got lucky and some famous Spanish actor wandered by and came in and did an impromptu recitation of a Lorca poem with improvised dance. It was amazing. (Who was he??).
Wooow!!! Katy is an incredible artist and teacher. I learned a lot of things about flamenco and gipsy culture. I felt really comfortable dancing with her, it all seemed so easy ... It was amazing ! Thanks a lot.
Kati was excellent at teaching and friendly so I felt at ease with learning the rhythms and doing the arm movements and steps of Flamenco. This would be suitable for beginners or those who would like a refresher lesson and videos are sent afterwards. All together a good experience. I would highly recommend.
My wife and I had a blast taking a private flamenco lesson with Kati in Sevilla during our honeymoon. She was very patient as we did our best to learn the basics. But what we especially loved was how Kati taught us about the history of flamenco and the different types. It helped us appreciate the two shows we saw while we were there, including one place recommended by her. Thanks for helping make our trip special!
I had a few reservations as my friend booked this as a surprise but after speaking with Sarah, and getting reviews on the experience, I was excited to try it. Once we got there I quickly realised I had no reason to worry, Maria made me feel very comfortable and we all had a great time. Would definitely do it again!
My friend and I had a fun evening with Maria learning some flamenco moves and getting to hear about flamenco culture in Seville.
It was a thrill to have a private lesson from Kati!! She's a professional dancer with decades of experience. She was very informative about the history of Flamenco, and she gave me insight I didnt have before. She also gave me confidence with her positive feedback. I'd take this class again in a heartbeat!! Olé!
This was such fun!! My friend from school and I rented the costumes and had such fun learning about the history of flamenco. The costumes, different rhythms, hand and feet movements were all expertly (and entertainingly) shared by our guide. I would highly recommend the experience as excellent value for money. My only regret is not also booking the flamenco show through this teacher.
Thank you to Kati our patient and lovely teacher for teaching us some flamenco and giving us an educational appreciation of the story and skills involved. It really helped us have a better understanding of the show we saw later that day - we all loved it - thank you.
Fun and educational! My wife and parents had seen a flamenco show the night before, so it was interesting to learn the meaning of the different moves. A great way to experience Spanish culture.
What a great way to be introduced to the art of flamenco and couldn't have asked for a better teacher! Maria was extremely welcoming and had an extensive knowledge of the history of flamenco which was great to hear about. She made the class fun and interactive, and I can say I definitely picked up some great flamenco moves for my stay in Spain! Maria took us to a local & tasty tapas bar after the class which was the perfect way to end the evening. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to do something a little different whilst in Seville.
We had a fantastic experience taking a 1-hour class with Kati. She taught us basic flamenco steps, gestures, and clapping, incorporating them all into a short choreography. She also told us a great deal about flamenco's history and the present-day culture of it in Sevilla, which was very enriching (especially if you have or will go watch a show). She also had recommendations of where to go see flamenco in Seville. Overall, the hour flew by and we all had a wonderful time! I recommend this to anybody who likes dancing or wants to get a deeper appreciation of flamenco.
We had the most special flamenco experiences in the three days that we spent in Seville: wonderful introduction-class with Maria who intruduced us to the world of flamenco in Andalucía in a most professional and amusing way, we had so much fun! then a really magical privet show in our birthdayparty with an autentic sevillan gipzy-family: beautiful dancer and her husbend guitarrist- singer, with two children dressed up for flamenco! and to make the experience even more mindblowing: the last day an unbelieveble flamenconight in a small venue in Triana, local, autentic, by the river. Strong and moving experience!-we got to know so much about flamenco and andalucian culture! Thank u for making our trip so special!
Maria was a wonderful teacher, who also explained some things related to flamenco, to get you into the spirit and also get closer to the "theoretical" part. The practical lesson with choreography was super fun and interesting, I think the time available was used in the best way!
Want to take a break between visits to the many monuments of Seville? I strongly recommend this small flamenco course. There were two of us and were able to enjoy a private lesson (there were no other participants). The teacher was extremely friendly and was able to adapt the content to our level (we are beginners). Nothing wrong. Once again, I highly recommend this little moment of relaxation!
