I chose to make a mosaic tile and was able to create my own design with help and guidance. There were abundant materials to choose from and instruction about all the tools. My instructor was patient, kind, and friendly, and had a beautiful dog! I had a wonderful time!

Itinerary
There are four different sessions offered to choose from: wheel-turning, mosaic, and two ceramic painting techniques, majolica (with a brush) and dry rope (using a knob to apply the paint). In the wheel-turning session, participants will receive a brief introduction to the process of creating pieces. They will then have the opportunity to make as many pieces as time allows during the session. Firing of the pieces is included, but you will need to wait a week to pick them up, as they require drying and firing. For the majolica and dry rope techniques, you will be able to decorate a 15x15 cm tile with Sevillian motifs, although many choose to create their own designs, which is entirely possible. These pieces will be ready to be picked up between 2 and 3 days after the session. Finally, the mosaic session is ideal for those who have a short stay in Seville. A 10x10 cm mosaic is made with a free design, where you will learn how to cut the tiles and adhere them to the tile. The best thing is that you can take your creation home the same day.

Very informative and fun experience! We were able to take a look at other pieces that were commissioned by this workshop. The owner was very friendly and explained the entire process of our activity. We would highly recommend anyone to do this experience as well!
A lovely time learning an ancient art and visiting with Beatriz, the friendly proprietor. great local experience.
Its Was a really Good experience
I had an amazing time! Beatriz is a kind teacher who knows so many languages!! She will be able to help you with all types of cerámica.
The ceramics class was enjoyable with options for what we could create. The class was individual tables rather than group…very fun!
I recently took this ceramics class in Seville and had such a lovely experience. Beatriz, the teacher, was incredibly knowledgeable and made the session engaging from start to finish. She explained each technique clearly and with real enthusiasm, which made learning something new feel both fun and accessible. A wonderful way to spend time in the city and come away with a handmade piece and new skills.
I don’t like to give bad reviews but this is more of a warning. First the shop was closed when I got there for a 4:30 experience - then they (the ceramics shop) said it was supposed to be at 5pm - then they said that I could only do mosaic (I wanted to do majolica). So they cancelled. Beware if you want to do a children’s mosaic craft that’s all you’ll get here. Because I used a credit to book viator refused to give me a full refund and reinstate my credit. Epic fail all the way around.
We went to Beatriz lovely studio twice. The first time to do tile painting, which we loved so much we decided to return and do pottery throwing using the wheel. Beatriz English was excellent and we had some lovely chats whilst doing the workshops about Spain, traditions, ceramics and life in general. Beatriz explained both styles really well and we had great fun. We got to keep our tile, which was fired the next day, but clay on the wheel was just for fun and experience. As a family we think it's important to do something that represents the area you are staying in. There are tile places all around and the tile museum is right next door so we feel we definitely got a feel for the history of Triana. Thank you Beatriz.
This class was amazing! The owner is very knowledgable and helpful! It was a great experience and we would highly recommend this class of any of her others.
Beatriz was such an amazing teacher! The class was really relaxed and just what I needed after a busy few days, she gave clear instructions and was very supportive, she has such a beautiful workshop and has some incredible work on display. She is a lovely person and I really enjoyed my time talking to her. I absolutely cannot wait to see my fired tile. It is the perfect souvenir from Sevilla! I would happily return and do any of her courses. Keep up the amazing work!
I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Beatriz is an incredible artist who graciously shares her talent and passion for art and ceramics! We learned about the art of ceramic tile, relaxed and made amazing keepsakes of our trip to Sevilla! Great activity for families, individuals, couples or groups. Highly recommend!
Amazing experience, we had a great time, Beatrice was warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and experienced, we learned a lot and had a great time making mosaics.
Beatriz was amazing! I had the best time. I was with a big group (9 people) that we were able to set up with Beatriz. Half of us painted a tile while the other half learned to throw clay. Beatrix was an amazing teacher. She taught us the basics of how to center the clay and create a bowl or a plate. She also taught the tile making group the history of the paint behind the tiles and it was extremely cool to learn about. However, she also showed us some more advanced skills that we would try out in the future, such as making a handle, making motifs from molds, or using tools to refine the original form. She was an encouraging teacher! I really hope to come again with more skills but it was a wonderful introduction. (She also extremely accommodating as we are getting our products back before the usual date because we are leaving). Highly recommended!
My 10yo and I took the ceramic tile workshop at Ceramica 1920. It was a fun experience. Beatriz is very patient and she has great passion. Unlike some other locations required a minimum of 8 people, she enjoyed having a small class for the two of us on a hot Friday evening! She is very responsive and very easy to work with!! This is one of the highlights for our 2 week Spain trip!
Our host was very nice and competent; she guided us without doing it for us, and we left very proud of our "work."
A very nice experience! Not only is it a beautiful reminder of the activity, but you also go home with a unique souvenir that you made yourself. The trainer was very friendly, patient and helpful. She took the time to explain everything clearly and was always ready to answer questions. This made the workshop feel relaxed and accessible, also for beginners. Definitely recommended!
It met expectations 100%. We made some mosaics, the teacher knew how to explain everything very patiently.
