Hotel Yit Via Sevilla Mairena

We came to the hotel with a tour group. However, the hotel is really terrible. There were no slippers in the room, no shampoo, and they provided no services other than the bed. There was no clean water, no kettle, and no complimentary coffee or tea. Plus, because there was no hot water, we couldn't even drink the tea bags we brought with us. I definitely do not recommend it; it's a very bad hotel.

I have mixed opinions about this hotel. I stopped for two nights at this hotel as part of a coach bus tour. I was not impressed by the uninteresting facade of this 14 story giant with a very small reception. There were only two, rather small, elevators and since we were a relatively big group, we had to wait to go to our rooms after a long day on the road and visiting tourist attractions. My room was ample which was good, but it starting to look dated. To my surprise, there was nothing dividing the shower from the rest of the ample bathroom. No curtains or a half glass. So all the water was flooding the floor outside the shower area. There was no shampoo and only two tiny soap bars, although I've seen that in other hotels. The floor tiles in front of the bathroom were swollen due probably to the water infiltrating from inside. No courtesy water bottle or a minibar to refresh yourself. The strong box was broken so I couldn't lock my valuables and my passport. While looking out the windows, I noted that they had not been cleaned outside or inside for a long time. The TV was outdated with only local programming. The pillows were long but not soft. I walk up with a stiffed neck both days. There was a supermarket close, but I was too tired to go. The breakfast was the worst I've ever had in years. Even the coffee was terrible. I was not alone on that opinion. The scrambled eggs were cold (yikes) and the sausages were also cold and tasteless. In fact, nothing was hot. Overall, a mixed experience.

Very disappointing customer service. I fully accept that I missed the cancellation deadline and that the hotel was contractually entitled to charge the first night of my reservation. This review is not about the cancellation policy itself. The issue is how the hotel handled a genuine request for assistance after an unforeseen personal situation prevented me from travelling. I contacted the hotel immediately, acknowledged my mistake, took full responsibility, and simply asked whether any goodwill gesture could be considered, such as a partial refund, future credit, voucher, or any reasonable alternative. My request was escalated to management and ultimately rejected without any flexibility or customer-oriented solution being offered. Hotels have every right to enforce their policies. However, customer service is often measured by how a company responds when unexpected situations arise. In this case, I felt there was no willingness whatsoever to find a compromise or demonstrate any level of goodwill. What disappoints me most is not the financial loss, but the complete lack of flexibility and customer care shown throughout the process. Based on this experience, I would not choose this hotel or the YIT Hotels group again.

The bed sheets in the room were clean. However, there was no shampoo in the bathroom. There was only a bath towel and no towel for hair. The worst part was the breakfast. There was nothing except sugary products. I do not recommend it.
